Yeah, I wondered whether I would get away with that I don't know whether kerbs have eyelids or not, really... but something tells me they can wink.

Meant the balloon pointer to go to Dilsby tho--he'd been quiet for a couple of pages All the other PB parts work, as do the Life Support parts. I think it may have to do do with the folder structure: PBS parts to support USI-LS are in a sub-subfolder, which as @Alchemist notes may have odd permissions or some such. I expect to have it all sorted out in short order.

[1.12.X] Kerbal Planetary Base Systems v1.6.15 [28. April 2022]
Mister Dilsby replied to Nils277's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Will try both of these things when I get home tonight, thanks! -
The Saga of Emiko Station - Complete
Mister Dilsby replied to Just Jim's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Fortunately 'persistomancers' are a thing in my 'verse, so we'll know when Kerbfleet changes versions because of all the dropped lampshades that will have to be re-hung. -
Pending: v1.1 compliant Arkingthaad tower lander.
Mister Dilsby replied to Whackjob's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
How about a nice bridge, Whackjob? Connect KSC to the island runway and start a shuttle rover service. Or if it won't work in atmosphere, build an overpass across the crater of your choice on the Mun.- 47 replies

[1.12.X] Kerbal Planetary Base Systems v1.6.15 [28. April 2022]

I can say that I am using USI-LS and USI Core. Will have to get you the log file later tonight. -
[1.12.X] Kerbal Planetary Base Systems v1.6.15 [28. April 2022]
Mister Dilsby replied to Nils277's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Wondering if anyone has reported the USI-LS parts not loading in V1.1: All of these parts appear to be in the proper place in the Gamedata directory, exactly as they were in 1.0.5. But they didn't load with the ship, nor do they appear in the VAB. The parts from the USI-LS mod itself (such as greenhouses and NOMS containers) loaded just fine in 1.1, as do the other PBS parts such as the lab and hab modules. Thanks! -
Moving on with the Mystery of the Broken Transmitter: And yes, there might be typos in there, but 'Misster' isn't one of them

OK, don't panic, all's well I think... Strange thing is that all those parts (Part of Planetary Base Systems) appear to be where they should be in the Gamedata folder, but they don't show up in the VAB. No more time today but will continue to debug. In other news, the performance is SMOKING for craft that did come over OK, like Micarooni Station! Will be very excited to get this solved and back to regular programming!

Well that's good; Qwammer and Skimmeroo are the only craft that use multiport and I shouldn't need to take them out until Jool. If I have to, Bill can always over-stiffen ports as appropriate to compensate. (Remember, it's not cheating if you can call shenanigans on the GM!)

OK fearless Kerbfleeters, I've downloaded 1.1.2 and am getting all the required mods in order. If all goes well, Bill will notice a "great disturbance in the forces" sometime this week. Hoping very much to do the upcoming planar correction burn at moderate fps... here goes!

Kerbfleet Surface Mobility Corps. Ooh rah!
-
Yeah, this makes a lot of sense. As @Torgo and others have commented, it's not that violent deaths are unknown to kerbals. Rockets can crash, sometimes into each other, things can explode and people die. What's (literally) alien to them is the idea that someone would do so to another person intentionally. The concept of 'corruption' is an interesting one, and is really at the crux of the story I'm trying to tell. Once exposed to the concept of 'murderdeth', and an enemy that won't hesitate to do it to them, what will Our Heroes do? Right-- so, Lisa as well as any other Kerb would be able to leap from the concept of "rocket exploding and pilot dying because something crashed into it" to "someone MADE the probe crash into it" or from "person is in extreme pain due to electric shock" to "person wears a device that another person uses to deliver said shocks"-- after all, even Kerbfleet has the duct tape thing Great discussion, you guys have made my day/week/month. This is exactly why I decided to write Jool Odyssey in this way, to explore this concept! But a couple clarifications. I'm going from memory so could be wrong, but: --I don't think it was Lisa who read a Kenlie story before and said "save me Martystu", it was Jammy or something like that --Kenlie doesn't write graphic novels: his stuff is text-only. I'm adding the pictures so you can see what's going on --Up until now no one has ever read a 'murderdeth' story other than Kenlie. he Martystu story Kenlie wrote before involving the 'lookies' was strictly g-rated. Had the lookies caught the Kenlistar the consequences would have been 'biiig trouble' or something like that, not a real danger as we see from the Kerbulans. Busy weekend, but hope to continue on soon and reveal what it was Lisa set on fire and why-- but it was not Kenlie's k-pad!

That's a really good and interesting question! I'd try to answer it myself, but I think I should avoid activating "voice of God" mode so long as others are interested in discussing it.

They haven't talked, no--Kenlie's been on the bridge the whole time since Lisa found his k-pad. And you didn't miss anybody, there's 12 crew aboard Intrepid. Well, I never really meant to make her Quebecoise, I just thought that word was milder than the one I really wanted to use (which, I should point out, was spoken unbleeped multiple times by Captain Picard!) In any case it's been brought to my attention that the word is maybe not mild enough for this forum, and so I have replaced it with the general purpose Zut! Yes, Sarge just loves chatting up junior officers who are also lawyers. It's a pastime of his. Exactly! Once again, "if they'd only listened to Bob!" But then that plot hole couldn't get closed, and I would be an unhappy Kuzzter.

Yeah, writing 'story' stuff rather than straight mission report takes me a bit longer, especially going between three different save files with stunt doubles, greenscreening, etc. Hope I'm keeping up a fast enough pace that no one's forgetting who's who or what's going on That's a very good summary! Also correct. This is hilarious, love the SWU/MWU shorthand and all the hypotheses surrounding him. The W=Q one is really good. I'm not saying it's correct--just really good And here are two more pages not involving Wernher! A marine sarjint turned firefighter? Who'd have thunk it. If only he also spoke Creole.

Clearly he does know a little more than 'ein bisschen', yes. All the reader speculation has me really looking forward to writing that Zwischenspiel. In other news, I am learning many new random German words. Will she? Won't she? Aaahhh! It depends how many more plot holes Your Author has to chase down on the way to Jool! Why yes, they did! You noticed Of all the speculation about Wernher I like this one the best. I'm not saying it's correct, but I lolled. Yeah, you can imagine how important it is to read the fine print of contracts with the Kerbulan Empire. "Aaahh! But you said we had permission!" "You did not have express permission." "Yes we did! It says 'express permission' right here!" "Ah, but that is not in italics!" *BOOM!* Hm! Hmmmm! I should have also had someone mention that no one ever forgets the Ghost. I liked this comment better before you edited it. If anyone would have messy bears in this story, it'd be the Kerbulans. Indeed, that is a bit of a weakness for them. Their other main problem is of course that the main characters are all looking for ways to murder each other. Val Kermulan's key leadership ability is getting everyone on the team to murder someone other than each other. I like it too, it reminds me a bit of a star-bellied sneetch
