i discovered the massive aerobraking uses of Jool. i came in like gangbusters on it at around 30 KM/S, and upon hitting the "surface" i was traveling around 88m/s.

A new home, an interstellar colony challenge
Eclipse 32 replied to Kevin_kerman's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
nah, i never did WHY, for one reason and one reason only: processing power. my computer would turn into a pile of molten slag if i attempted to make that ship, and even if it survived, i would be unable to move, due to one frame every half hour and the three kraken attacks that would happen between frames.- 109 replies

another request, could someone please make a B9 aerospace HX parts pack+ mod that adds new HX parts? (new HPDs, new reactors, CREW PARTS, ect)

a few days ago, i was screwing around with very large distances, and i put like 20 of the big 1T antennas on it and it still didn't have the power to reach the KSC. just try to imagine how stupidly far out i would have had to be for 20T of power to not be enough. ayyy new page! even with 3 very, very large comms satellites in orbit(2 around kerbin, one in a solar orbit) i still only got up to 94%, and then i timewarped to the places where we were never supposed to go(the altimeter was in the Zetameters, if that's even a thing. all i know is it was reading "Z"s) and broke my game each comms satellite had 6? 7? i don't remember exactly, but a lot of the 1T antennas.

totm dec 2019 What crimes against Kerbin have you committed?
Eclipse 32 replied to crasher925's topic in KSP1 Discussion
i slammed some supermassive pocket dimensions into the VAB at ~700m/s. the damn building survived, somehow. each pocket was 20-some tonnes apiece, and there were 4 of them, not counting everything else. -
@GIROLD.co, welcome!

i was just installing some mods via CKAN, and for one of the mods, it attempted to install REALISM OVERHAUL. i vetoed that in Favour of RealPlume.

i borked the game by messing with better time warp and making "Uber Rails Warp" that the max speed is something like 10000000000000000000000000000000000x real time. ima go get rid of it to be nice to my computer.

hmmmm... death star/starkiller base?

respond to this with mod requests. modders may or may not pop in time to time to see if there are any good ideas. first request: In a forum post from late 2013, Squad member Jeff C.(NovaSilisko) described an idea he had for connecting many easter eggs into a story concerning a civilization which predated the Kerbals. Experiments with interstellar travel resulted in the homeworld of this "precursor civilization" being flung out into an extremely distant orbit. Before they froze to death, they launched monoliths and other messages onto many planets and moons in hopes of seeding intelligent life. Instead, they created Kerbals, not-so-intelligent life. The planet would not show up in any map and would be too distant to be observed with a telescope, making locating it by chance nearly impossible. However, players would be able to find transmitters beaming out SSTV signals on various bodies, each one of which would provide part of the orbital parameters necessary to locate it. The planet would be a bit smaller than Kerbin, covered in ruined cities and frozen oceans, and perpetually in twilight due to being so far from Kerbol. The only element of this narrative which made it into the game is the SSTV transmitter on Duna, which transmits an image originally intended to depict 4 members of the precursor civilization standing on their homeworld, with the logo of their government. Had the narrative story been completed, it would also have contained part of the orbital parameters. Because the story was never implemented into the game, this explanation for the SSTV signal's imagery is arguably non-canon. stolen from the wiki.
