will there be remote tech, FAR,etc compatability patches? as of now, the probe cores are standard stock probe cores, not RT compatible. last i checked, you had something with a singular part haiving a winglet module in it, which is not the FAR style of wing surfaces, and other stuff etc.

[1.0.5] Atomic Age - Nuclear Propulsion - Red Hot Radiators
123nick replied to Porkjet's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
is this compatible with kspi? i have kspI and atomic age, and i see 2 nuclear lightbulb engines, one is the standard default ccg-7 or whatever, and the other one, the closed cycle gas core, has the same stuff, but also the ksp interstellar reactor and thermal nozzle. should there only be one? should the kspi one also not have a standard stock engine module, using only liquidfuel? -
what do you mean "*then* people will start loading mods as if theirs no tomorrow"? im doing it now, on Linux, without crashes. and it works pretty alright. and i have like, a ton of mods. only problem is the extremely large loading times, but hey, atleast it doesent crash

although it seemed to work at some point, with the cockpits from quiztech and OPT, they still have lifting surfaces. do i need to have it so it initiates after all other mods load, or before? i tried reading the symtax, but it hurts my head just looking at it and trying to think of how to get it to work. i have alot of mods, although i dont think i have any that add in other module manager configs that might interfere. i tried renaming the file with a Z at the beggining, so it loads at the end, but i dont think it does anything. any help?

alright. i guess your right, it does seem a bit impractical. although, really, most project (by me atleast) dont have a really good reason why to even bother with it in the first place. maybe there would be some obscure use, but nothing a helicopter with KAS winch cant do.

would it be possible to impliment a fulton skyhook into ksp? like this: . i think it would take some coding, but not too difficult. you could have a specialized part, and you could recover probes and other planetary installations that originally were not supposed to lift off again, using this method, and it seems to be pretty cool. imagine picking up a rover on duna with this system, you could skip landing, and save delta-V. its supposed to use a winch to pull the item in, and can be used with people (IRL) to pick them up from the ground, and bring them into the actual airplane. maybe this can be implemented with kerbals, allowing you to pick up stranded kerbals, easily?

use linux. it works sooo well, you can play for decades without a crash. just follow the guide, and try, try, try again until it works. but when it does, its sooo worth it.

and what purpose do these rockets serve? will they be efficient in atmosphere, less so in space or what? easy to gather fuel for, etc?

The 5th Generation Fighter challenge [FAR]
123nick replied to Halsfury's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
how can you call this a challenge with such strict rules? like, you might as well tell us to build 1 and only 1 aircraft. maybe a bit more freedom with the rules? -
what about support for the kronkus planet pack, and asclepius?
-
why do you not provide support for new horzions, the mod that modifies the stock system? like, it can be done somewhat easily, just have the modified stock system inplace of the regular stock system. right? because, new horizons doesent add any new stars, just some planets and gas giants, and this mod moves other mod planets to new stars, so..... i guess it would work fine? maybe?

123nick replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
do you have a list of the mods? just wondering. on another note, how would one go about installing the full realchutes along with FAR? just remove the realchutes lite that comes packaged with FAR, or keep it?- 14,073 replies

i dont think this is updated to 1.0, is it?

would it be possible to have a mod, that features stuff like autocad where you can draw out and make outlines for structural 2d parts, then extrude them, and then further extrude pieces out of them, to have procedural structural panels? i know theres procedural wings, but its a bit limited.
