"Mars".
-
And yet you claim to like the eight fins of the Saturn-IB. Eight, or four? Which is it, huh?

"Target" is pronounced with a hard G.
-
First, what is a "city"? Second, where is it? What size? Is it a small thing, orbiting a planet? It's a station. Is it a handful of scientists on Mars? It's an outpost. Is it a self-sufficient settlement on the moon? It's a colony. Is it the single entity that most civilizations refer to as the example that all human settlements should aspire to? It's "Byzantium", Constantinople", "Istanbul", or multiple other names depending on where and when you are.

What do you mean "All other things being equal"? There's a lot more that goes into it. No single answer is going to fit every rocket. The Redstone and Saturn V had four. The STS had three. The Falcon has none. The answer is going to be "zero, three, or four, depending on the rest of the rocket design". But, as we all know, the only true and correct answer is 42.

Spaceflight? but why tho theres ...... on earth!!!
razark replied to TheGuyNamedAlan's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Question: "Why spend money on space exploration when there's _____________ to solve on Earth?" Answer: Well, it's not like we're actually bothering to solve that problem, anyway. Might as well spend it on something cool. -

KSP 2 Pricing and older players
razark replied to Jeb_Needs_A_Parachute's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
You say that as though it ended with the 1.0 version. -
Well, since I can understand the message contained within it, it's perfectly valid communication, ain't it? But... 2.3b?
-
I pronounce it however I want, because English has no actual rules and is defined by usage.

KSP 2 Pricing and older players
razark replied to Jeb_Needs_A_Parachute's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Well, statistically, they won't be able to play the game as long as younger players. Less chance to use the product, so it's worth less to them. It's perfectly logical, right? -
What's the difference? Is a gimmick just a feature that you don't find useful?

Odd to have those screenshots in it. -
KSP error code #autoLOC_
razark replied to MINEPUBLIC's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Delete everything and reinstall. Don't delete everything in GameData. That's where the game stores data. -
Name is not the field to sort chronologically. I didn't say "universal", I said "proper". I can't help it that most of the people are being wrong.
-
Proper date format is DD Mon YYYY or for filenames DD_Mon_YYYY.
-
Except the "first" could be years after someone else. To me, this makes no sense, and should not happen. I think the only conclusion these repeated multiplayer/timewarp discussions are going to reach is that some players fundamentally disagree on what we expect or want out of multiplayer.
-
Well, for example: You end up with things that exist in the universe that cannot be interacted with by players. If A and B go to build a Munbase while C is off playing at Jool, but D timewarps 10,000 years ahead of them and lands a craft where A and B want to build their base, they will not be able to, because something that won't exist for one hundred centuries is blocking it. Not to mention this leaves the question of docking to a docking port that is occupied in the future. Of course, I can't dock to the station anyway, because it's now is in my future, so even though the station will be there, it isn't there, but it should be there because it was when my now was it's past. But none of this answers the question of "why bother to play multiplayer, if it's just a big chat room that people can import other craft from other people's games"?
-
Timewarp in multiplayer comes down to either paradox or waiting. Either one player has to wait to do their thing, or you allow a paradox to exist. Imagine A and B are going to Minmus, and C is going to Jool. Either A and B go to Minmus, and C has to wait to go to Jool, or A and B go to Minmus, while C timewarps all to hell and back and paradoxes can occur. My question is, if C wants to timewarp so far ahead and not interact with A and B in their timeline, then why the hell is C playing a multiplayer game with them?!? A multiplayer game makes no sense if A and B are playing Monopoly, and C is playing Blackjack. That's just multiple games with a chat feature.

It's spelt "Gilly", but it's pronounced "Throatwobbler Mangrove".

That some people have too much free time.

KSP2 will never be released. The cancellation will be announced on the evening of 24 December. Here ends all speculation and hope. You will never see KSP2. Your children will grow up with barely a memory of KSP. Your grandchildren will never even know it existed. The world will be a dark and dreary place. Now that you have no expectation of it, whenever it releases, it will be a pleasant surprise. That seems much better than constantly being disappointed that it isn't out yet.

Size matters not. Judge Yoda by his size, do you?
