If you're looking at youtube tutorials, pretty much all tutorials that deal with the atmosphere (i.e. planes, rocket launches) made before 1.0 release (April 2015) because aerodynamics were completely overhauled in 1.0. Some of the parts have been remodeled, retextured, and/or rebalanced, and many new parts have been added. Also, science and career mode are still relatively new additions to the game. Many old tutorial videos will most likely be out of date. I recommend following the tutorials built into the game, they have been remade recently. The KSPedia is an in-game feature that can tell you a lot about a lot of things. After you've done the tutorials I recommend playing a game in unmodded science mode, so that you only have to deal with the simpler parts without having to be concerned with funds and contracts. Warning: wheels are highly unstable in 1.1.x so beware Welcome to KSP!
  2. Can you provide a screenshot of your plane on the runway? Without a picture it's hard to identify what issue you are experiencing. Sometimes your plane can spawn with your wheels clipped into the runway. If you don't have enough thrust the slope on the tier 1 runway might be big enough to cause you to roll backwards. And honestly, I recommend not using the tier 1 runway because with the 1.1 update, the non-retractable wheel are so fragile that the bumps on the runway can cause them to break.
  3. Well, I have no idea what causes it but I have to say, those orbits look pretty cool.
  4. That is very weird, I would try starting a new game and see if removing CTT broke the tech tree in that save.
  5. The stuttering is a known issue in the stock game. Here is a thread about it in the unmodded support forum. And here is a mod designed to reduce the stuttering. Hope this helps.
  6. Have you tried the 64 bit version? Crashing during scene switches is usually caused by hitting the RAM limit in 32 bit.
  7. This is a known problem in stock KSP 1.1.x and here's a thread.
  8. The more mods you have the longer the load time. Mine probably takes a good 10 minutes or more to load.
  9. Can you be more specific? What is "this texture mod" and how are you deleting it? Are you using CKAN? Are you deleting it manually? What version of KSP are you running? It's kinda hard to help if there are no details at all.
  10. Have you tested it without mechjeb installed? Because mechjeb shouldn't cause this.
  11. Really? Cool, cuz the SXT truck wheels resulted in some quite entertaining explosions.
  12. Press F3 when it breaks to find out what exactly broke. I haven't tried the mod yet so I don't know if the part itself is bugged or not.
  13. Depending on your config, there might broadcasting antennas scattered around the planet. Your probe might be getting a signal through one of those.

  15. are you playing in the 32 bit version? Try using the 64 bit version, which should be ksp_64.exe
  16. The error message says that you are trying to install a mod that is already installed, in this case Dmagic Orbital Science.
  17. The wheels in 1.1 are buggy. If the wheels are from mods you're lucky that your rover didn't just spontaneously combust on load. If the wheels are stock then idk.
  18. With the new 1.1 wheel physics, the stock wheels are pretty much the only ones that still work. And even they don't work that well.
  19. As for CTT, the empty nodes contain parts in mods that you don't have. As for TACLS, it's no longer supported by @TaranisElsu here is the 1.1 version. As for the Mechjeb icon, you might be able to move the Mechjeb icon. There probably isn't much you can do about the stock toolbar tho.
  20. Try raising the craft in the SPH and try using stock landing gears.
  21. Is your staging configured correctly? A mod list? Screenshot of the problem? A craft file for testing?
  22. well... the new landing gear and leg in 1.1 are glitchy even in the stock game. As shown by Danny's video.
