  1. I spent many years as a medic. People would often say "It hurts when I do this". And i would reply "Then don't do that!" You've built a ship bigger than the unity engine can really handle safely, then you make it shake itself with recoil. I think the design is the issue. Look up some of the welding mods, and weld your bigger sections together. It might hurt your armor rating, but it shouldn't explode when you fore the guns.
  2. Or updating too often. I like to play the "stable release" game, where I wait for Squad to unleash all the hotfixes before upgrading. That way, all the mod makers have caught up.
  3. My computer decided to reboot during my edit, and then it won't let me edit that post now. For clarity: I'm all for an overhaul in stock, just not as a DLC. DLC's need to expand the game into new areas and mechanics that don't already exist, not fix old broken things. Your eye really can't discern differences above 30 fps or so. The more FPS you have, the better though, as when your computer does lag, you won't notice it as it drop from 50 to 35 fps. But complaining about not staying at 60fps is rather.... well... obtuse, but I do not mean to be offensive there, I just can't think of a better word.
  4. Just going to quote this for emphasis. Personally, I find it kind of rude to do this. Like G said, others may have the same question and now they have to go through the process of asking and waiting, while a simple search could have turned it up. The forums, especially these support forums, are more of a compendium of knowledge, rather than a mere message board.
  5. Nope, won't happen, cause it won't sell. Standard speech about mods as DLC: They won't have the sales to justify the cost of development. @Shadowmage's post explains how mods would work, and therefore no sales of DLC. Now if they did the graphics overhaul, sure, I don't like it cause I run a potato, but that doesn't mean it wouldb't be good for the whole community. I'd much rather them make DLC's expand the game into another aspect they haven't tried before, and leave the upgrades that should be part of the stock game, stock. Anything over 30 fps is moot.
  6. How dare anyone use Mechjeb? That's just pure cheating, and ruins the game for everybody. Pure trash. Oh....
  7. Curious Bewing, as to why you think that makes a difference? Not being rude, honestly curious as to your logic.
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but you get the bends from Nitrogen returning to gaseous form in your body where it shouldn't, namely the joints. I believe the Helium does not do this, which is why deep/long duration divers use HeliOx as a breathing gas instead of regular air. So unless they want to be really dedicated to the joke, I doubt it. Annnd I misread the post.... nevermind, carry on!.
  9. Your attempts at applying real world physics will not work here!
  10. That might make getting back in some ship designs are real pain... But I see your point and fully agree.
  11. But kerbal time is 6 hours to a day, not 24, so you'll have to throw in a x4 somewhere. Plus, isn't a Kerbal year 400 days? If so, you'll have to toss out the weeks too, and just go from days to years. That's what naps are for!
  12. If you're right, and I believe you are, that's a really confusing variable name.....
  13. Thought that was included in the IVA's way before 1.0 though... Might be wrong, it's been a while...

    1.5.1 Hotfix

Pretty sure that's the third time I've seen you post this. Might be wrong..... but.... I've been playing this for 5+ years with no stick just fine....
  15. Not 100% exactly following you, but from what I can tell, you can already go to map mode, hit Tab, and it will cycle between the planets, with that body as the fixed point. Hitting ' (~ key) will return you to your vessel. In the settings, you can change the patched conics limit to a higher value, letting you see farther into the flight path.
  16. Well, the way I read this, you have already achieved orbital velocity at sea level, in an atmosphericless environment. There just seems to be a lot of info missing from these questions..... To me, a rocket is fired from a launch pad vertically, not horizontally, so these seem to be two completely unrelated statements.
  17. I believe you are correct, but at the very least, a variety of animals rely on the day night cycle.
  18. Try updating all your drivers. New factory built machines often have outdated drivers, as the hardware manufacturers frequently push updates for new hardware after the build bundles are devised. The launcher is known to be buggy, and has not been updated in a few years. Use the KSP64.exe directly. If you have one, a KSP log will help diagnose the problem.
  19. I have this happen from time to time in 1.3 No idea what causes it, seems random. I have found leaving the VAB and then returning usually fixes it.
  20. I mean, I guess this is possible. But I have never heard of anybody hitting the high end of the time variable yet, so I don't know if anything would occur similar to a K2K (Kerbal 2000) problem. I curious myself, maybe somebody with more intimate knowledge of how KSP stores time data can speak up....
  21. If we locked all the forum members of this thread in a room... 1) How much white board space would we need? 2) What awesomeness would come of it? 3) How many would be murdered over an argument about a minor detail?

    1.5.1 Hotfix

Those poor modders...... Does that even count as a Hotfix? I mean, at that point, they were still trying to get the Mun to stay in the sky and gravity to not point left.
  23. Better return on the science as well. If you don't have a way to easily charge your batteries, don't transmit, it might be one of the biggest EC hogs in the game.
