Best way to launch a space plane?

Thank you so much for the help! I followed everyones advice and I just went to my space station, docked and returned to kerbin runway again! (BTW my first ever space plane landing on the runway, I always failed and landed on grassland). -

I am thinking to get a life support mod but i'm worrying that every time when i'm sending for example a probe to another planet I need to worry every single time if my kerbals are not dying in my space stations and bases but it does sound realistic and fun when you need to send supplies to your moon base. What are your opinions about life support mods? Do they bring more fun or more challenge into the game? Thanks

Thank you very much for the responses, on this feedback I decided to make a SSTO, but I don't have enough fuel even to dock with a space station, any improvements I could do? -
I am trying to get my space plane into space, I looked at different options, option 1 is to fly the space plane directly into space but i figured out this is almost impossible to do because im running out of fuel. The 2nd option i tried is to launch the space plane with a bigger plane and on top of the atmosphere i decouple and my space plane continues, this didn't workout quite well too. Then as 3rd option I did the space shuttle style, the fuel wouldn't be a problem then, but I have a hard time stabilizing at launch, every time it does not go straight but it turns to one side and crashes, any tips on how to fix this? what is the best way to launch it? thanks

Hi there, I am looking for a stock mod that adds the Dragon and the Dragon V2 from SpaceX, I have a hard time finding both, I found "Tundra Exploration" but this only has the dragon v2. I am wondering if somebody knows where to find a mod with both? Many thanks

I really like this mod, I launched the kerbin space station but there are only contracts with send a crew or rotate them, no things like expansion and maintenance, when do I get a contract like that? Also when do I get a contract for making a surface outpost? im waiting for one so I can start my moon base. Thanks!

Thanks for your respond, I removed both environmentalvisual and kwrocketry, weird enough it still gives a high ram, maybe some plugin is sucking temporary ram the whole time?

I got a question, with these mods I have an increase of around 1,6 gb ram: Is the 1,6 gb increase with these mods not a bit much? cause only KWRocketry is the mod with many parts, when I delete KWRocketry there is only a decrease of around 250mb ram, so i'm wondering which mod is eating my ram? Ofcourse nobody really cares ram anymore since it is 64 bits right now but last week since I installed and updated some mods (I do this manually), there is a really big increase of RAM which gives my game some instability (game stopped working) and my computer is blowing its fans like a jet engine while normally my computer is pretty quiet. I hope someone knows a suggestion. Many thanks! EDIT: I have actually no idea if I posted this in the right category on the forum.

Thanks for the respond Nereid, just a question, I edited the description of the custom ribbons, what if there is a new version of the mod? Do I lose the description again or does the description get saved in the save file? -

This mod looks really awesome, I used this mod like 1-1,5 year ago and I remembered all the progress of the badges etc gets saved in the save file itself (the persistent.sfs) but this gave me some troubles and I was skeptical like, what if I removed the mod, the progress gets stored there in my save game forever without ever using it. I assume like 1 year later a lot of things changed, does it still get stored in the save game or in the mod itself now? will this give any troubles? Thanks -
After some thinking im going to install a life support mod and I chose this one, it looks really good, is there a recommended mod to play along with this mod? Thanks

Mod looks good, I will take a look at it later! Out of curiosity, what kind of engine it uses? I dont think just a liquid fuel engine? Edit: Nevermind I found here a lot of designs: http://www.projectrho.com/public_html/rocket/realdesigns.php# They look really awesome, I would really like to remake some in KSP if there are enough parts for doing it.

Is it true that only the soyuz (all parts), the fuij (only the descent module) and the LK lander module have IVA's? I would love to see them for other parts too like the Salyut, I really like the mod!
