I hope a stock version of this would give you an in-game VAB interface. Require me to have X engineers in the area if you must, but don't make me use them to build ships. it's a UI nightmare. I can't see this happening but I'd like it as well. I've never needed KJR so I guess that's already in there They said there will be a dock for launching boats. You could make your own! You could even build a base out there if what they're saying about base building is correct.

Kesos is my favorite, though I tend to call them Kerbucks.

I don't really watch KSP anymore. The only two people I watched with any regularity are Scott Manley (who barely posts anything KSP on YouTube) and KurtJMac (who you can't really describe as a "best player." Engaging, sure. Fun, you betcha. Interesting, always) I actually still watch both, and have for half a decade or more, now. But neither one posts KSP content where I watch.

I like to think of it as, quantum entangled particles have the same random number seed. Observing one tells you what the other is only because they're the same random numbers. No it's not a perfect analogy but hey it's quantum physics I'm doing my best
-
You are missing something. Entangled particles cannot pass information back and forth. They just happen to both be in the same state at the same time. If you force your particle to be in a specific state it's not quantum anymore, and observing the other particle will return either state (and then set your particle to that state, if I know my quantum particles correctly which I may not). And I'm pretty sure though not 100% sure that all these interactions occur to the two particles at the same absolute time. IE if your particle is traveling significantly quickly enough to go through time twice as fast as mine, then my observations and changes to my particle will just cause your particle to change states twice as fast.

I'd be surprised if KSP2 had asteroids big enough to be worth modeling gravity. I'd be more surprised if they actually DID model gravity for them. In both cases I'd be happily surprised, but surprised nonetheless.

I was right! I'm not surprised. Anyway here's a pretty minor bug report I actually found in another of your mods, PlanetaryDiversity: I was using 1.7.2 and it wanted me to use 1.7.3 but MiniAVC seems to be using the wrong variable for the "please use" version. I downloaded it from github (never been a ckan fan). PlanetaryDiversity-1.7.3.2.zip and put the PlanetaryDiversity folder in my Gamedata folder directly. The log is not available for a very good reason: I zipped it but then typed "log" in the link instead of "zip" [defunct site link removed by moderator] Looks like it's MiniAVC, which you didn't write (as far as I know. I wouldn't be surprised actually ) I WAS using 1.7.2, and your version file says it's for 1.7.3. So the warning is correct to come up, but has incorrect wording. Looking at your version file I don't see anything odd. I'll report this on their thread.

something wrong with relays
Superfluous J replied to cikho's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
This. And as a bonus, now you'll have a relay satellite at Duna. In fact you can probably send a half dozen of them and set up a network for a fraction of the cost of re-sending your original mission. -
If it was me, I'd get an engineer up to level 2 and place a solar panel with him (just on the launch pad is fine) and then compare its entry in the persistent.sfs to the one you have placed wherever you sent it. There has to be SOME difference, and I'm assuming at this point that they're fairly standard parts in a "craft" that is the collection of all those science instruments.

Request: Ability to use Orion Drive within Kerbin
Superfluous J replied to Jestersage's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
I see what you did there. -
Mine's over an hour But I'll submit this one, it's one of my favorites and was short by design.
-
It's a video game. One with precious few reasons to bring people along, little alone people with specific skills.

@linuxgurugamer Amusing warning: Here's my log: [defunct site links removed by moderator]
-
Engineers get extra power from power generation units. If you deploy the solar panel with Jeb you get 1 power. If you deploy it with Bill you get 2 if he's levels 0 or 1. You get 3 if he's levels 2 or 3, and 4 power if he's levels 4 or 5. Amusingly, that doesn't mean you can fit any more experiments into that 6-part storage unit, because the solar panel powering 4 things means you can power the base unit, comms dish, and 2 experiments. It DOES mean you can leave the 6th slot empty. Oh, and you can ditch the comms dish if you leave a base for your lander with a relay dish on it. The controller unit has a small antenna and it will happily relay through a nearby "real" antenna. Then, you can send up 3 experiments in one 6-slot storage unit.

My first career game is insanely well documented, because I did a YouTube series on it that lasted over 100 episodes. Back then Career was what we call Science Mode now. The videos are hard for me to watch these days because of all the stuff I get so wrong, including an insistence on calling Kerbals "Kerbins"
-
No, at least not without hiding a(n auto)strut inside that 2nd decoupler. KSP2 ships were reported to use the same tree structure as KSP1 ships.
-
You have 2 other options. The Klaw. I'm not 100% sure you can transfer fuel to her but you could at least take her to an airless world to let her climb up a ladder into a ship. Position a ladder VERY CAREFULLY next to her so she can grab it. I've done this and it's very hard but possible.
-
No. Well, yes, but I got around that problem. My main problem was I could never get it stable enough to fly. The closest I got remained upright as it nosedived into the ground at hundreds of m/s. I never mined the asteroid out. It felt impure The original glider was untouched by drill so I wanted to recreate it with the same constraints. And yes, attaching things remotely close to where you thought they'd go can be ridiculously difficult. Another problem was each test had to be done pretty much from scratch.
-
Impressive! After multiple tries I deemed it all but impossible in the non-beta atmosphere. you have shown me to be incorrect.

When you go to the toilet, but your game is still running...
Superfluous J replied to Triop's topic in KSP1 Discussion
That's what routine mission manager is for Though if the launches are mundane I usually stop being engaged with the career.
