Or you could even go into the .cfg files for the stock radial tanks, and add a "rescaleFactor = x" line (w/o quotes, and x being a decimal value... somthing between 0.85~0.5 should work), somewheres near the model/mesh definition... Then just tweak the mass, drag, resource amount volumes to your hearts content. And if you want the small versions, while keeping the stock ones, just copy the original cfg before editing it, and save with a slightly different name... Then at the top, the line for "name = ", also give it a slightly different name... make the changes I describe above, and Voila!... You've just made your very own modded part for KSP..

[1.11] RemoteTech v1.9.9 [2020-12-19]
Stone Blue replied to tomek.piotrowski's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Nice worthless, reactionary troll post (which is against forum rules, IIRC)... It seems to have worked, since youve gotten at least two answers Also, more antennas, for aesthetics... And yes, the introduction of CommNet may have lessened the need for RemoteTech, for KSP 1.2.x, however, the RT devs are working on possibly adding MUCH more stuff to the next version, that will set RT apart from CommNet even more. -
Thanx... I downloaded it twice more, and tried it again... still not working.. I even tried to repair it, no go... This is with WinRAR, so I'm guessing its the settings or something Einarr used, that WinRAR doesnt like... I RARELY have any kind of issues opening any of the literally, tens of thousands of .zips I've downloaded from the innerwebs... So I grabbed 7zip and yeah, it seems to have worked?... I'll have to install the mod to find out for sure... But, if averyone else has gotten it working, its ust something WinRAR doesnt like. I'll ust re-zip it using WinRAR... Thanx @Einarr

The Firespitter mod has a "craft mover" part you place on your craft, and you can place/ump it around anywhere you want... If you dont want the rest of the Firespitter mod, ust delete evrything EXCEPT the mover part folder... There's also HyperEdit, which is also for putting any craft, any thing into any orbit... You can even CHANGE the orbit of planets moons, IIRC...

If you're asking for someone to "make" a realistic mod for the Saturn V, you cant get much better than: But that IS a really nice research source, and I'm sure if CobaltWolf hasnt seen it yet, he'll probably appreciate it.

[1.2.1]Arkas: Development Edition
Stone Blue replied to The White Guardian's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
We were making reference (and I guess a bad joke ), to the planet Arrakis from the classic "Dune" sci-fi books... Theres ALL kinds of these references made in the release thread for the original version of the mod... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrakis -

How to calculate altitude from pressure on Kerbin
Stone Blue replied to AeroGav's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Maybe this thread might be helpful for you: And a little known utility, made by r4m0n, who was one of the FIRST RemoteTech devs: -
Thanx... Uggghhh... I ended up giving up and going to bed soon after my last post... So I tried again today, and I got it working a couple times, ONLY when run for the very first time on a fresh KSP/Telemachus install... Then it would all go to hell again... I tried it with/with out Houston installed, I tried deleteing the RPM hullcamera patch, I tried 1.5.1, I tried 1.6.0, I tried both on KSP 1.2.1, AND KSP 1.2.2... NO idea wth is going on at this point... I guess I'm ust done with this... @tcannonfodder, I'm ust gonna try a PR for the blade antenna, as is... I'm fairly confident the .cfg and included RT patch SHOULD work, but without being able to get a stable working Telemachus to test it...??? vOv

[Minimum KSP: 1.12.2] Heisenberg - Airships Part Pack
Stone Blue replied to Angelo Kerman's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I dont think you were rude... And those are all good and valid points... However, as to you writing a patch, then having to maintain it: not necessarily... People write patches all the time for mods, independently of the mod devs, and post hosted links to said patches in the thread... Theres no implied responsibility or obligation of having to maintain or update the patch if you dont want to... You can easily make it a one-time-deal, and then, if it needs updating, you've already helped the next person who might decide to take on an update, by already having provided a "base" patch, which could also serve as an example for how to make updates... -
[Minimum KSP: 1.12.2] Heisenberg - Airships Part Pack
Stone Blue replied to Angelo Kerman's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Yes, Tweakscale is useful in some cases... But in THIS case, do you really want to oversize the hatches, and any other scale-reliant exterior details/greebles? Which, if you're fine with that, then by all means, Tweakscale away... However, YOU, or anyone else for that matter, are absolutely free to write your own, independent Tweakscale ModuleManager patch for this mod... Or ust about any other mod... Its always nice to ASK a mod dev if they would consider adding Tweakscale support; however, there IS a line, where it slips into being rude to demand, or even strongly suggest that the onus of adding Tweakscale support should automatically fall on the mod dev. I'm NOT saying that you are being rude, not in the least, ust pointing out for you and others that if you want Tweakscale support, its a very easy thing to do yourself, OR if you're not confident enough yourself, to ask politely if someone else could do it; OTHER than the dev mod, if they've stated they are not keen on officially adding it to the mod. -
I'm glad it worx for you... Unfortunately, not only is 1.5.1 NOT working for me, but the 1.6.0-dev is ALSO not working for me... And this is on KSP 1.2.1, since I'm pretty sure thats the stable version tcannon compiled his updates on... He posted two links that HE said were the Telemachus updates, and THOSE are what I installed... Those are ALSO what HE asked people to test and let him know if there were issues... Well, YOU may not have issues with it, but they are not working in MY installs... KSP.log output_log And just to satisfy you @Redneck, I will try installing Houston on top of my non-working install of Telemachus... And if it worx, then THAT, along with the info that both updated versions of Telemachus arent working for me, is STILL something @tcannonfodder should probably know. EDIT: Yeah... Still no go...Same errors in the logs, with/without Houston installed. Error seems to be referring to a built-in plugin for RPM, so I'll try installing RPM and posting back.
-
Well, OK then... Last I knew Houston was pretty much only a UI, an extension, an add-on for Telemachus... I would think you need basic Telemachus installed, and working, before throwing Houston at it... Unless something changed with both mods, and they got integrated or something? Plus, Tcannon's update links point to his Telemachus repo... NOT his Houston repo... So, again, unless i am missing something, WHY would "we" be installing Houston, instead of Telemachus, unless there is something not posted somewhere?
-
So 1.5.1 is NOT working for me on a fresh 1.2.1 install. KSP fails to start, and locks up on loading screen. This is last lines in the KSP.log: [LOG 22:58:00.613] PartLoader: Compiling Part 'Telemachus/Parts/FustekAntenna/part/fustekAntenna' [LOG 22:58:00.640] [Telemachus] Got plugin registration call for Telemachus.Plugins.RasterPropMonitorPlugin. Optional interfaces enabled: None KSP.log output log Gonna try the dev build instead, now

I highly recommend VOID, if all you need is great in-flight data display.
