I also checked Hanson Ma's CST-100 Starliner mod, and the Atlas Gaming is right... the internal part name has both spaces (covered by the `?` in a patch I presume), but it also has `( )`... special characters in internal part names is bad, is it not? EDIT: So I installed the CST-100 mod, with KSP PartVolume and I couldnt reproduce the errors This is the patch PartVolume created for that part: // ---------------------------------------------------------------------- // CST-100 Starliner/Parts/cstHeatShield/cstHeatShield/CST-100 Heat Shield (Black) // Bounding Box Size: 10372.55 liters // Volume adjustment: 10% // @PART[CST-100?Heat?Shield?(Black)]:HAS[!MODULE[ModuleCargoPart]]:Final { MODULE { name = ModuleCargoPart packedVolume = 11410 } }

on a hunch, I checked Kerbal Inventory for All, and the main patch in that mod has a lot of missing brackets in a lot of the :HAS statements vOv EDIT: So, I am incorrect on that... i thought you couldnt nest :HASes within :HASes...which i guess you *can* do

Ahh.. yeah... further investigation shows that it seems to be working for me, even with the errs... I have MADLAD installed, which is reporting those errs you posted.

@jrodriguez so, I keep getting some loading errs with this mod on a minimally modded instal. I have read, & re-read the README several times... I guess its unclear to me if the desktop and/or server clients are *required* for this mod to work? vOv

I dont think those are from this mod... Unless the plugin creates a temp /partVolumes/ folder somewhere, becuase I dont see that included in this mod... vOv This looks like a patch, *possibly*by whatever mod adds the CST-100 capsule... could be anything tho vOv And all it is, is a typo of a missing bracket, in whatever patch is causing it...simple fix. But I suggest you mebbe go to the mod thread that contains that capsule. This is why its important to post links to the *whole* log. By only posting only snippets, only a smol fragment of info is being given, and the necessary context surrounding the error is missing.

I agree with everything you said... i do want to just add, tho, about #4... Thats the thing with any type of Customer Service position, tho... CS people, are literally the face of the company, and the direct link to customers... Irate customers comes with the job... *THAT* being said tho, its no excuse for not being civil to them, and remembering while they are the face of the company, and who you need to "unload" on, always keep it professional and civil.. They are people too, at the bottom end of a corporate entity, and usually work for minimum wage, and just have a job to do If I am really hot & upset on a customer service call, I always make it a poinnt to tell the rep, that its not them I am upset with, and its not personal, and that I, and them, must realise they are the face of the company, and if I have to unload on them, I apologize to them, but tell them to just pass my ire up the chain, and its meant for the higher ups who make the decisions/policies/screw-ups/whatever

No... Steam does NOT have DRM.... but IMHO, that just means Steam is even more of an uneccesary "middle-man"

Aviation Cockpits Continued [KSP 1.2-1.12x]
Stone Blue replied to Geoplex_Official's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
yeah, but everything stated in the OP, as well as the Github repo state & look like *no changes* were made to the original... which makes me thin this is just a re-host at this point vOv and the original is still available... so... whats the point of this one again? vOv the only difference I see stated in the OP for cockpits supported, is the F-104... *which is included in the old release*- 12 replies

But if you grab the current version as soon as it releases, even if you dont install & play it... you'll have it till the next one... if the Store goes down, at least you'll only be one version behind... or if you bor your install, you'ld still have the latest version to reinstall

I guess people just dont know enuff to take advantage of the best part of the KSP Store, and hang onto those wonderful self-contained no-nonsense, DRM-free .zip files...
-
*I* hope 1.12 will be *absolutely, NO new features*, and *strictly* the much needed *Bug Squashing Edition* that has sorely been needed for, oh... about 8 yrs...

KSP won't run on Ubuntu 20.04
Stone Blue replied to EaMS's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Yeah.. thats y I said if those get created on Linux... On Windows, its in the /%User/%Apps/ folder thing... I'm not sure where/if they are created on MacOS & 'Nix... vOv Yeah... I know bac when I delved into Ubuntu for a bit, I had to try several drivers till things seemed stable vOv Also depends on how old your GPU is... there was a point (even in Windows), where I couldnt use anything newer than around when I guess support was dropped for my GPU- 10 replies

KSP won't run on Ubuntu 20.04
Stone Blue replied to EaMS's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
There doesnt seem to be anything out of the ordinary in your KSP.log to indicate an issue, I think... Maybe try posting your Player.log, if those get created on Linux? vOv Also, makke sure you have good Nvidia drivers... that always seems to be the biggest issue with installing Linux... and latest isnt *always* the best driver, IIRC I havent played KSP on an Ubuntu distro in a few years, so hopefully someone moar knowledgable will reply- 10 replies

Huh... too bad so many people are against using mods... Cuz there are mods that do most of this... some have been around for *years*... *especially* the sea-based launchpad...
-
@theJesuit this? actually, why yes, YES...
-
Most likely NOT an attack... Most likely just trying to integrate the original KSP Store accounts into the new site.. (hopefully, anways) And as to moving your "key" to Steam, unless you originally bought it thru Steam, this most likely wont happen... Its been made clear, long ago, that KSP Store purchases (and other sites) of KSP & DLCs cannot be moved to Steam accounts.

So now I am getting an "Error: 1020" when trying to access my account... seems to be Cloudflare CDN related? vOv At least things seem to be changing, which would indicate they are continuing to do *something* with the site vOv

[1.12.X] Neptune Camera - Basic Camera Utility [4.3][21.06.2023]
Stone Blue replied to Beale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Yes... works the same as HullCamVDS & KURS Docking Port cams... Can even use the same transform from them... Just takes an MM cfg patch to use NC with the Hullcam camera parts. For animated meshes, the transform just needs to be childed to the animated mesh
