  1. Strange... Send a screenshot of how you're doing it. Maybe I can see what you're doing differently.
  2. Just took a look, the J-2S's b9switch is supposed to be the J-2 A2, but I think since they added the J-2 A2 as a separate part, they disabled the Part Switch, but didn't remove it. Maybe they are planning to incorporate all the J-2s into one part via part switch but are having trouble? Only thing I can guess.
  3. Delta IV was actually one of the 4 rockets considered. Atlas V, Delta IV, Falcon 9 and Vulcan. It's just natural to me. Unlike Fuji with Titan lol.
  4. Full album: Imgur: The magic of the Internet Note to self, turn down the force of the 3.125m decoupler... Also, for those wondering why I used Delta IV and not Delta IV heavy, Starliner is almost half Orion's weight, and doesn't need to go as far as Orion. Orion went to about 5,800 KM. A far cry from the ISS' 422km (around 175KM in KSP)
  5. Update 1.11 will add other Saturn/Apollo application stuff, so it's technically a part 2 imo. I call it part 2, not sure if the team actually does.
  6. It is a historic mod, yes, but it's also a "What we're interested in." mod. Hence why Delta IV is in the mod because Zorg was interested in doing that rocket. I don't think anyone on the BDB team has any interest in adding Firefly or New Glenn, at least not at this time anyway with the Saturn Part 2 update being in full swing.
  7. Full album: Imgur: The magic of the Internet Project Icarus successfully deflects an inbound asteroid heading for Kerbin. For those that don't know, Project Icarus was a plan by a student at MIT to deflect or destroy the asteroid 1566 Icarus if it was found to be on an intercept course to Earth. The plan called for 6 Saturn Vs to carry 6 100 Megaton warheads. The rockets would be launched on after the other, with the last one launching about 18 hours before impact as a last-ditch effort. Obviously, Project Icarus wasn't needed IRL, but it's fun to do this hypothetical stuff in KSP. (And yes, I did cheat to the asteroid.)
  8. Why add a probe core? Boilerplate apollo is a probe core. Or do you mean a probe core in LM shelter? Which too is a probe core.
  9. Full album: Imgur: The magic of the Internet Whoo, this was a long mission. But it was good. Had a minor bump in the road with PRE that forced me to cheat the Shelter and Truck back on to the Mun, but otherwise no problems. Apollo 20 crew delivered the Shelter fine, stayed in orbit to ensure LM Truck delivery when good before departing back for Kerbin. Apollo 21 launched the same time Apollo 20 was coming back. 21 did some crater exploration, did some science, then returned safely to Kerbin.
  10. I hate PRE... I just wanted it to be stable for just a few moments to get a nice pic, but NO, the kraken had to appear and destroy both the shelter and truck and now they're both in pieces that are scattering themselves to the stars! No, literally, the debris is on an interstellar escape trajectory! And I can't revert to launch because I cheated the CSM and lander into muner orbit... lovely.
  11. Could we get probe functionality added to the Lunar Descent stage as well? So we can use the LM Truck without having a probe core or kerbals? Click the github link, the dev link is broken. Go to "Code" then switch to 1.11 dev.
  12. Well, all of them are needed. We could have possibly seen this irl if the AES program was funded. Though I wonder if NASA would have built a 3rd launch pad or just built another crawler and tower and just had it close to the pad so they could easily turn it around and launch the 3rd mission quickly.
