Great to see it released! I've been using the version from your dev. thread for a while now.

blackheart, I was about to tell you this but MaverickSawyer just did: the upper stage from your Aerojet Kerbodyne pack is the same stage that the Delta IV rockets use. For the Delta IV it's called the Delta Cryogenic Second Stage (DCSS) and for the SLS it's called the Interim Cryogenic Propulsion Stage (ICPS). Maybe a merging of the packs would be good? Including your upper stage with this pack would be good but it might get redundant for people who use both (which I do since your content is so awesome ). Any progress on the segmented SRBs? I think they would look cool with the Aerojet Kerbodyne pack, and this one as well. Some smaller, stock-like SRBs would be cool as well. Like how the Delta II uses SRBs clustered around it, and the Delta IV Medium rockets use similarly sized SRBs.

[1.0] StripSymmetry - remove symmetry (v1.6 - 2015-04-28 20:20 UTC)

This is awesome! Nice work! -
Still not enough. If anyone's wondering what a folder is (i.e. need a link) I'll provide one.
-
Yeah, this won't do this. The KSP modding community is very responsible and they have to provide source code. If the moderators ever find a virus in a mod here they'd be quick to take it down.

Check this out, they have some concepts: http://www.nasa.gov/sites/default/files/marsextensibility-ready-4sls.jpg And the Copernicus MTV, which I'm not sure if it's been scrapped or not (it has the old Orion design pictured there): http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4c/Orion_docked_to_Mars_Transfer_Vehicle.jpg

I actually asked him to do that already, Nathan. You are talking about a 200" to 330" adapter, right? I wish Squad made the new parts for stock KSP 4.125 meters rather than 3.75 meters. It's a better scale for both Saturn V and SLS replicas. And thanks so much, RedAV8R, you've really done a lot to make Realism Overhaul that much better. I always thought it was 5 meters to 8.4 meters. If only everyone used the metric system...
-
Would you be able to re-scale the SDHI parts to 5 meters? I can do it myself but it'd be nice to see it released to the public from someone like you. A Taurus re-scale would be good for the Orion capsule (I think NathanKell said somewhere he'd like for the Taurus to represent Orion) Thanks in advance, sorry if I'm overwhelming you. Only do it if you feel up for it.

It was a tough vote from M-1 and Surveyor probe core but I have to say Surveyor since that was much more historic.
-
That should be enough. KSP can only use 4 GB though so the the amount of RAM you have isn't a problem. The black screen is normal I believe, just wait it out. Walk away from the computer and when you come back it should be loaded.

ActiveTextureManagement. Go for the Aggressive version if you're getting crashes. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/59005-0-23-5-Release-3-1-Active-Texture-Management-Save-RAM-without-reduction-packs!

Yes! Thank you for this! -
8K82K aka PROTON (OLDD in USSR) v. 0.5. (12.05.14)

This thing just had a failure yesterday. Nice work though! -
Looks quite good! It's a shame the new SRBs are too small, though. Not much we can do unless we bundle them together and lower the thrust (which is a viable technique). Great job on this, I gave rep for it. You should try rotating around. It would make it more accurate to the old SLS design. That's right, Squad modeled the RS-25 cluster after the old one rather than the new one, which has a square arrangement of the engines.

Another Proton rocket failure - May 15, 2014
Woopert replied to Woopert's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Yep, I'm aware of the other rockets. I was just mentioning ULA's rockets since they have such a good track record. Though, the Ariane 5 and Soyuz both have pretty darn good track records as well. Falcon 9 is good too but hasn't flown enough flights yet, IMO. Yep, I know about the RD-180 engine. I follow spaceflight. It still takes a lot of engineering prowess to design a rocket, even if the Russians designed the RD-180. -
Yep, another Proton rocket has failed. This one had a third stage failure, and one report said it crashed back down (which it probably did, what goes up *must* come back down ). Anyways, thoughts on this rocket? It seems like it's had way to many failures. Nothing beats the good old Atlas V or Delta II, or Delta IV... Edit: yes, I'm aware of the Falcon 9 and Ariane 5. I was just mentioning the ULA rockets that came to mind. Source: http://spaceflightnow.com/

This is awesome! Another blessing to the KSP community!

You're awesome, BahamutoD. You're quickly proving yourself a valuable asset to the KSP modding community! Well done!

That's hilarious, Bills is good.

Did you add color filters to it? It looks grainy and noisy. Btw, is that Australia there (from the Real Solar System mod)? Nice work!
