Except it is math constant, not some random number that creates pattern.
-
So Tesla's math and experiments are in tin foil section now?
-
Earth, Moon and Ceres fits this ratio, so it is possible that same even that formed Moon also formed Ceres, but over time Ceres drifted on its current orbit. They have different ratios because they are build from different elements... as orbital periods check Titius–Bode law.

Wow Tesla was right Aether exists http://imgur.com/gallery/0VhrXPV https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelson%E2%80%93Morley_experiment

Math constant is not some random number, it suggests that we don't live in chaotic environment.
-
Ceres fits in here Since Moon:Earth radius ratio is about 3/11 same as Ceres:Moon ratio.

What if the Saturn-Shuttle was built instead of what we got?
Darnok replied to fredinno's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Then why make super expensive LEO only shuttle? NASA should continue using capsules from Gemini or Apollo. -

What do you mean? -
What if the Saturn-Shuttle was built instead of what we got?

IMO first question should be... why would you want this? NASA shuttle had zero sense, just look at Orion, they have 30 years of experience in sending shuttles into space, but now they are reverting to capsules. Why? In normal company they all would lose their jobs, and would never find any job on this planet, for spending so much money on things that are technological dead end. -
How to manage dirty clothes in space?
Darnok replied to RainDreamer's topic in Science & Spaceflight
But it wouldn't be any different than interview made on beach during summer? It would be easier to get rid of only underwear than entire clothes set. At least two, one as backup. Largest problem would still be water, I wonder what weights more water needed to make laundry or clean clothes delivered from Earth? -
IMO you are trying to use old concepts for new world. Look what has changed since last 50 years under US hegemony? Nothing? Rich people are getting richer and poor are starving. While before that, when US and USSR were fighting each other we reached Moon. They were developing revolutionary technologies, while today revolution means we have +100 pixels resolution in TV each year. We don't need single super strong single country or world wide union... we need countries that are ready for participating in evolutionary race. They should try to expand as much as possible and change their societies in way they are going to adapt new ways of thinking. Corporations have technology to expand on Moon or even further, but they will use it only if someone will try to win this race. They won't bother if their profits are stable and high enough on Earth.

Its like saying that buying a fish is better than buying fishing rod Maybe to solve those problems we should go further and expand on new territories? Every living thing is expanding over time... we done that in past, but now we only multiply without expansion. We act like dying species, totally against laws of nature, we are limiting our territories instead of expanding it.

How about use underwear only? Also Stargate wins again http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/stargate/images/8/80/Thor_0014_ss.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20140225141646 because it is easier to clone your body than invent self cleaning clothes -
Don't get me wrong... I think that US military has far too large budget, but from their perspective having even small cuts in this year means lose jobs, well paid jobs. And what will be in next year, more cuts? People behind military, high ranks people like generals, officers etc won't agree to give away their money to anyone else. Imagine you spend in army 20 years and now you have to quit, what would you do? Corporations that are manufacturing weapons and military vehicles for US army won't allow anyone to take their money. They would lose their profits and it is unthinkable for them.
-
And you think that people with guns will give their money back... willingly? You would have to fire lots of soldiers, it is just like fire office workers, but with guns and military training... if government is making cuts in other branches people protest, peacefully... what do you think soldiers that could lose their jobs would do?

North Korea's 5th satellite attempt-7th Feb 2016
Darnok replied to xenomorph555's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Number one country priority is to being independent and without rockets and satellites you can't be independent country today. I am laughing at anyone who is talking that Korea, or any other country, that develops their own space program is dangerous, they are dangerous only to U$A economical domination. Since end of WWII we live under US hegemony and if even single country gets rockets (independence), then others will try to do that as well and current world order will fall apart. USA can't force independent country to do what they wants... because with independent country you have to negotiate like equal with equal... but it is cheaper to order US allies to make more sanctions, more economical pressure and even more wars only for democracy, of course, to keep current order. -
Any hopes for 1.1.5 just for comms system?

If planet has atmosphere we can use it... http://www.geoengineering.ox.ac.uk/what-is-geoengineering/what-is-geoengineering/
-
Why would they need to pass each other? Just spray gas cloud on same orbit with same speed.
-
Just spray liquid or "something like dust" cloud on low orbit, it should prevent enemy from seeing what is and where it is on planet.
-
But Pluto is not called asteroid, so why would you want to change taxonomy of asteroids to planets?
-
That is not answer to my question. There are millions of starts and you don't see it meaningless to name all of them? Maybe we should pick only 10 starts and ignore rest? What is wrong in living in solar system with more than 10 planets? You can classify them using size for example "M class" near Earth size (Venus would fit here)... but Ceres, Pluto and Eris etc are still planets.

SpaceX is not going to make even Moon orbit without money from government... that means without money from American citizens wallets.

New vapor planet - Anun home of the anunnuka
Darnok replied to PB666's topic in Science & Spaceflight
You guys sound like guy above, you read what I said, but you don't understand even half of it. What conspiracy theories I am defending? That tidal wave isn't same as flood? Or that Earth and Moon orbit were different? Or that carbon dating have limit 50.000 years? Or that asteroid belt could not exist at time when dinosaurs extinct event started and it could be caused by some planet?
