  1. Intentionally expended, customer wanted and paid for every last mm/s of dV
  2. gocomics.com has been down since... Saturday? How am I supposed to get my daily fix of Pearls Before Swine? I might have to pick up a newspaper at work! Oh, the humanity!
  3. Oh hey, I finally have some time to post here. Some interesting stuff lately... Well, the first time I heard Popcorn was the Crazy Frog version, which I still think is the best for some reason. He just looks so kerbal... Hot dang, orchestral music gets the rock concert treatment! I like Limp Bizkit when they're breaking stuff, and I like The Who. This version just doesn't resonate with me... K, wait, interesting..... A bagpipe mixed with metal? I'm flabbergasted... They should have thrown in a hurdy-gurdy while they're at it...
  4. 20m, so, $20B? Hopefully they can use some lessons learned from Webb to speed it up and keep costs down…

  11. Wait until you stay up until 4am playing Tetris for 6 hours straight. You’ll dream your blanket is covered in Tetris pieces…
  12. I don’t think I want to see anyone wearing an itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny yellow polka-dot Eschscholtz. Doesn’t rhyme nearly as well, either.
  13. Well, the core stars of Ursa Major (The Big Bear) are The Big Dipper, so there’s that…
  14. There are infrasound sensors around the world that detect the airburst meteors and can locate the boom accurately enough to know where to sweep Not sure how deep that area is, but as I understand it much of the seafloor is covered in deep silt. Newly fallen rocks should stand out as there any old rocks would be covered. As long as the meteor fragments didn't sink too deeply into the muck, but a magnetometer would help
  15. There's an old joke, "How do you keep a monkey in suspense?" A twitterverse of monkeys is now in suspense. Could it be...? Edit: Oh wait. It appears to be a store. Never mind... Although I suppose I could still be wrong...
  16. Curious as to where in the sky these interstellar objects are coming from. The same region? Or from wildly different directions?
  17. The venting from the recipient tank could easily provide the thrust needed for settling the propellants. Exquisitely simple, like the Soyuz boosters venting oxygen to provide separation thrust…
  18. It ain't over 'til the fat engines roar...
