  1. Please don't forget to add a ModuleEngines variant! Seriously, we need this. Okay, that looks nice, but... what's that? I don't see any Soyuz-like braking SRMs on this thing, so IRL it would probably break some bones if it tries to land on any solid ground using chutes only.
  2. Is there any plans for a dedicated ModuleEngines-based R-4D, for building IABS and such stuff? Two variants in upper right corner would be absolutely perfect for this: - Same stats as RCS blocks (weight, thrust etc) - B9 switch between single and double variants - Node attachment (surface attachment should be also possible) - B9 switch for bottom node (so it can be used without interstages)
  3. Sadly, this would probably be impossible without KIS... but man, that shovel. SHOVEL. I mean, SPACE SHOVEL. To shovel stuff. IN SPACE. We, like, totally need this.
  4. Question: are there any stock-style plumes for those of us who does not want to use Waterfall?
  5. Nice! Small QoL thing: please add Lead Ballast resource to Apollo boilerplate, like on Titan II RV. Something about 20t max, judging by its size? And BTW, can you guys resurrect the old Titan I warhead case and add Lead Ballast to it too? I know about NRAP mod, but I'd like some historical stuff instead of that EuroNCAP warhead
  6. @Zorg Please take a look at this post: (Yes, I am playing the matchmaker here - but hey, what's wrong with a CactEye-powered OAO-3?)
  7. Yaay, finally we have a proper Hubble! Thank you @Nertea!!! But: - "Baby Hubble" - while a nice idea if you have a baby Shuttle, this doesn't make much sense if you look at the original parts. FungEye was a small, simple scope with one processor mount. I propose to ask @Zorg for a permission to use their OAO-3 telescope from BDB. This has several points: 1) Original FungEye model is made after OAO-3 2) OAO-3 set has all the necessary stuff for a space telescope - including service bay, solar panels etc 3) If you install BDB alongside CactEye, you get an authentic SLV-3B launcher vehicle - Processors don't have ModuleCargoPart - Optical tubes have wrong orientation both in VAB and in flight. See screenshots:
  8. I second that. In the meantime, you can use Rana mounts from Tantares: (Superquick build, needs some extra Move magic to fit better, but you get the idea)
  9. Just a simple Delta IV Medium launch. The pad is my old one, cobbled up from various MLP parts. Payload is K-2X for test contract.
  10. Use Move tool to slide descent tank in place. Or use NodeHelper to add a custom node for it. Gemini lander was made before widespread use of hidden nodes (I think these are some of the oldest parts in the mod now), and IIRC source files for it are lost, so unfortunately no fixes coming.
  11. Just noticed that non-SAF 2.75m fairing base has no fairing module. This is quite problematic, since (AFAIK) there is no mods that add a 2.75m fairing base.
  12. Would be cool to get some of that into BDB! - For 10x H-1, my best guess would be 4x inboard, 6x outboard. Not sure if they can fit, though (and giving the amount of work, most likely won't happen) - H-2 - this is supposed to be H-1 with improved turbopump? If yes, then it could be added as Extras B9 patch for H-1. - 4x H-1 and F-1 - now that would be a nice rocket, especially with stretched tanks and if you cut off F-1 during ascent. Most likely won't fit, though.
  13. At the specially added node on the bottom of S-IC engine plate. You may need to use the Move tool to fine-tune its placement. If the node isn't there, it's likely because a) you've installed something incorrectly, or b) you use Saturn V that is not supported by MLP.
  14. It's meant for Shuttle-Mir docking module and similar ISS mini-modules. It's too big for ASTP adapter. For more authentic look, you need 0.9375m cylinder (Agena tank, for example).
  15. (I assume we're talking about BDB Saturn V or a similarly sized Saturn V) You mean you can't snap it to S-IC engine base MLP node? Due to its size, Saturn V can be kinda hard to build in VAB. I recommend to place it as high as you can (Apollo scrapes VAB ceiling), then remove part of it (S-IC tank is usually enough), place launcher base, and then reassemble it back.
  16. A couple of requests after toying with Saturn LRBs: 1) Optional (B9 toggle) separatrons, like on S-IC engine mount. 2) This goes to @AlphaMensae - can you add MLP node to LRB engine mount in the next MLP release?
  17. Target is 60% of IRL dimensions. However, in most cases it may be slightly more or slightly less, in order to fit into existing diameter chart.
