Really not a bad idea. Probably won't happen though. However, you could construct your own track using construction panels, I-Beams and what not. Flags for pylons etc. Get creative. A partnership of NASCAR & NASA,,, OMG

Yeah, I'm a creature of habit. I've always assigned solar panels in action groups to "toggle", in my case, the number seven, (which is neither here or there). But now, they'll extend but not retract?! Am I missing something here? Any suggestions or solutions?

I can't really suggest any designs for you, however I can tell you one thing not to do. Do not employ the small landing gear in your design. I had a similar contract to put a base on the Mun "with wheels" so I slapped on the small landing gears and whatever other stuff the contract stipulated. The mission went well, landed on the Mun, and did the ten second wait, only to find out the contract did not consider the landing gears as wheels! Result?,,, Fail. Now this was in the .90 version so it may have been changed. Regardless, make sure all required equipment has that little green check!

The "Engineers Report",,, At first I thought, "Well this will come in handy! Then, after constructing a few ships, I began thinking, "Well, this is weird!? Getting reports like, "There's a problem with the parachutes" (because they weren't attached to the command pod) and, "Hatch obstructed" (because there was a fairing in place) and, (now here's my favorite), "No ladder " (for an unmanned pod?) It went from amusing to annoying pretty fast. Now I only use the ER, (and I don't mean the emergency room) just to check on the size and weight, and try to ignore the"Alerts".
