  1. I was a,a,a myself, but after seeing the discussion here changed to the same opinion as you
  2. @5thHorseman mentioned something like this before; I not only find that fair, but it's an actual gameplay mechanic. I like this.
  3. You mean that in the GUI sense? I'm pretty sure some smart minds at SQUAD can figure this out. As it is, I think soon we'll need expanding submenus.
  4. They will see this structural part right from the get-go and go all 'OH LORD WHAT TO DO WITH THIS?'!! @Jonfliesgoats you seem new here, so I feel I should point to you that @Veeltch there is being sarcastic (which is kinda his thing ). We (and others) have been advocating for a complete rewrite from scratch of this abomination called a techtree for quite some time.
  5. I was gonna go for Orion because it's just ridiculous. But then I saw the EM drive, and that's just a fabrication against the laws of physics, so yeah. That one.
  6. So simple, I feel pretty stupid for having never noticed that before
  7. Banned for not including Mariachi band in the avatar
  8. It can recognize where it was mined from at the moment it's being mined After that, it's all ore, which is why you can have a harvester in Duna finish the first objective, then have a clone ship move out of the VAB with its ore tanks full and complete the contract. Totally agree. Also make it so any contract that asks you to bring ore to Kerbin pays less than it would cost to just fill the tanks with ore! I mean, what.
  9. The locked camera, to me, makes docking so easy I don't even think about it much. Just put the camera facing in the same direction as the dock and go.
  10. http://www.planetary.org/blogs/emily-lakdawalla/2016/09300549-rosetta-is-gone.html just sent this link to my wife
  11. I get where you guys come from, now. I still think this is just a kludge to work around other shortcomings of the game and not justified by itself, but until those other problems are fixed I don't suppose my suggestion will gain much traction.
  12. http://www.projectrho.com/public_html/rocket/landing.php#id--Recovering_from_a_Topple oh, nice
  13. Thanks for all inputs I must say I'm surprised at how the poll ended up, but I'm now glad I chose to split the question in three.
  14. I've seen people talking about upvoting feedback on the tracker (your use of "support the cause" makes it seem so), but I don't see any interface there for doing so. Halp?
  15. Eh? You mean, physically? What's that got to do with science?
  16. This. KSP is fine, but NMS seriously dropped the ball. Just the other day I was re-watching one of their older presentations on GDC, they were clearly stating multiplayer and permanency were going to be a thing. @pxi I've been wanting to ask you this for some time... what the hell is going on in that avatar?
  17. Who said I'm averse to options? I'm loving the advanced tweakables, if anything I'd love to have more gameplay options. I never said 'away with autostruts'. I think they're a perfectly valid building tool, and I liked their addition to the game. I don't mind having struts that place themselves automatically (which is what 'autostruts' sounds like it's supposed to be), I just don't want them to be a magical solution to bad ship design (or a workaround for other shortcomings of the game that could be solved instead: oh, a low tech rocket is like overcooked pasta because it's a lot of small tanks rather than a large one? Then fix that stupid techtree instead, and let us use the goddamned longer tank ). A soundly built rocket isn't floppy anymore, and hasn't been for a few versions already.
  18. KER and KAC have been mentioned to death here already, but one I feel deserves more attention is Wider Contracts App. It's SUCH A SIMPLE change to the interface, yet it improves so much usability of said app.

  20. I never said you didn't, sorr if it sounded so anyway, when you rotate the orbit, you also change Ap and Pe, which counters a bit of the prog/retro burning, so it's not a magical solution. If you're at Ap, the cheapest way to lower Pe is burning retro, no way around that (but then, in that case, retro is toward the horizon...). But if you're in the mid of a drop, playing with both retro and radial lets you change Pe altitude and longitude by marginally more than you would adjust only its altitude burning purely retro.
  21. I've found the Locked Camera is a major boon in those situations (well, I don't fly planes, but finding the right part to right-click during tumbles anyway). Besides, seeing the horizon/skybox spinning out of control like that scene on Gravity is such an adrenaline rush XD
