P.E.T. This thread is hilarious! -

Sorry, didn't see the vacuum cleaner option. Assume this is a Kirby. -

Sega genesis FTW. -
Very entertaining! your ascent trajectories seem slightly too vertical, but regardless any Eve return mission deserves rep! Well done! The high speed music made me laugh.

Similar to 5hHM here... late 70's metallurgical engineering - hated it due to a lack of love for Chem and Dr. Berry, switch to CS, all good except for a hate of having to fight for time at the Keypunch equipment, then a switch to Math - loved it, but needed to eat so worked as a water treatment system designer for a few years, dabbled with courses, then ended up doing product engineering for bus powertrains, blah blah... dropped out. Now c 35 years later fixing airport IT processes... a conversation across the hot desk to a phd in mechanical entering and WHOA he be a KSP player! lol. put me in the life happened group.

Same idea here, but windowed into a 1280x800 - If I go any higher KSP crashes repeatedly - so a reasonable compromise.

292 here. Please provide more information on the Fetus/Foetus Room. I strongly suggest it be made into a mod/part for in-game use as a single Kerbal Hitchhiker pod. IVA must be provided as well - goes without saying. This request is based on my reading of the definition from urban dictionary. Please begin visualising now...

Ranger challenge (imitate 60's nasa mission)
Wallygator replied to daniel l.'s topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Goes to show, even simple challenges can be fun if a player keeps the right "attitude" - or - is it the player's craft keeps the right "attitude". -
Ranger challenge (imitate 60's nasa mission)
Wallygator replied to daniel l.'s topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
OK, so this challenge might not seem to be so interesting, but I think it's important for us all to remember the importance of the Ranger program at the moment in history in which it occurred. It was incepted before Apollo, but yet provided an incredible foundation for Apollo. Credit to the Ranger Pioneers! I have determined that this game is unplayable.
Wallygator replied to Xyphos's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Since 1.0 I consider myself a consumer and not a tester. That said... I am still slightly befuddled as how the actual testing process happens, and how so many know bugs have continued to exist for all these many months (all Hail CLAW! down with probe...) Regardless, the game is playable - but with caveats. One must still quick save often, don't do weird stuff without first testing it outside of your primary save, and be sure to have a stock version stored away to provide a control. Anyone who refuses to play under these simple existing conditions should also consider not playing life in general. Just MHO. Now, THAT said... It is post general release - so it is reasonable to expect well known bugs (already fixed by the community - All Hail CLAW!) to be addressed by the developer and not the community (All Hail CLAW!) -

Challenge Accepted... More news later... More news---> Challenge update below. -
It's all good stuff. Keep up the good work! I'm prevented from giving you more rep at the moment.
-
OK - Like I said - It looks good. Yes it does. Very well done. You have a good eye for making the replica look close to the real thing. That's why I gave you some rep As to the side booster engines - no complaints, just a common acknowledgement that it is VERY difficult to replicate the functionality. Thanks for the MJ removal - I'll try and fly it and then try and provide even more feedback. Good job so far. EDIT: launch is quite majestic, slow, but when you reach transonic there is a bit more instability than expected. After 5 launches, I've yet to get to the first staging event without toppling. I assume Mechjeb is likely more accurate and can feather the controls to orbit. I'll keep trying on manual... EDIT 2: Made it to orbit finally by resorting to vertical ascent until drag forces were minimal, then transitioning to horizontal - so it may work with old school .25 trajectories but with 1.x it seems to be unable to respond to a proper gravity turn. I believe this is due to the fuel drain and shifting of the CoM during ascent. Still need some work. So I finally voted 'Detailed". Good job, but still can benefit from further work. I hope you consider this as constructive input.

I did not vote, but let me contribute a bit regarding detail. Building a functional analogue to the Atlas boost and sustainer configuration using stock parts is really quite a difficult challenge. The two boost engines on the sides were jettisoned mid-flight with the centre sustainer engine continuing to run till stage burnout. Getting these two boost engines to jettison together as a unit is a PITA to build. From an initial view, your rocket is nicely put together. However, it requires Mech Jeb to load. You might consider removing MJ, or at least letting people know you are using it in the build I do not use MJ and therefore I can't test your design.

[CANCELED]My space program [CANCELLED]

I find this particular style of graphic mission report very entertaining and funny. It seems honest in its simplicity. Well Done! Rep to you! -
Interplanetary liquid fuel tanks
Wallygator replied to cptdavep's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
With the advent of stock procedural parts (Fairings), there appears to me to be no logical reason why stock tanks would not be completely procedural and tweakable - size, profiles, content, textures, and likely even more... sure, you could allow a paced unlocking of the various procedural methods/limits based on science nodes, ok whatever... If implemented, players would benefit from reductions in part count, more flexibility in the design process, etc. Arguments in favour of retaining the current lego block stock part methods (AKA the ridiculous high number of specialised tank configurations) make me shudder just like when I recall lessons concerning the luddites. -
regarding the m700 survey scanner
Wallygator replied to fireblade274's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I would like to think it also provides accessibility for folks who suffer from color vision deficiency. -
Just go with the flow. Let the physics drive the story. Hey, at the very least it can provide some additional threads of inspiration. (Ha! Says me who doesn't compose much of anything )

Still mostly ksp, but a bit of borderlands 2 when I get frustrated. Then when THAT frustrates me I go back to ksp which is then less frustrating. Vicious circle...

What do YOU do when a new KSP is available?
Wallygator replied to problemecium's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I always keep my most interesting craft files copied out to a separate folder, so basically (except for my very first save file from .20) I just delete everything and start over. Still trying to convert that .20 save to 1.0.4 - need to save 36 Kerbals somehow! -
Airbus presents concept for Mach 4 passenger plane
Wallygator replied to Frank_G's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Will likely only be built to carry 24 airdropped marines in powered luxury armour anywhere in the world to spread freedom. But hey, at least someone is still thinking about it... -
EDIT: on topic. Still awaiting report from Gilly attachment mission... Zelda's pay cheque being withheld until pics arrive...
