  1. ha! I knew it! Destroy All Monsters!!!!! Kindred spirit here.
  2. In reality Fuel cells do generate heat as part of the exhaust component of the reaction - so I agree with the concept of introducing it in game - the exact amount of thermal output would likely be based on the selected electric output level. Regardless, I think the fuel cells should generate heat as default.
  3. Thanks Azimuth. Also, after reviewing the issues (the bug thread) that Cap. Sierra mentions above concerning Engines, YES... I see it is all related. I think a tweakable is definitely a correct "Fix" to this. A player should be a allowed to select "As Designed" or "Default/Balanced" for flowmode for any part which consumes fuel. "Default" or "Balanced" (Call it what you like) would cause the part to follow the flowmode which the devs seem to like (flowmode = STAGE_PRIORITY_FLOW) "As Designed" would give the player the ability to influence fuel flow and consumption using fuel lines and crossfeed capabilities (flowmode = STACK_PRIORITY_SEARCH). I think this an issue which the Devs may have tried to do what they thought was the right thing, but they just didn't (have/take the time to) think it through completely. With this tweakable, a player could choose which parts behave in what manner - and more importantly it increases the creative options available. >>>>> DEVS: If you make this change then everyone will likely be satisfied. <<<<<
  4. Excellent 1970's throwback designs! I really like your style, keep going!!! Short and succinct descriptions, a bit of humor... It's great ! Rep to you.
  5. The major powers would immediately start programs to weaponize it to support the spreading of freedom to spend and own highly desirable consumer goods to all parts of the Galaxy. Heh.
  6. I leave debris everywhere. If it is in space it stays. If it's on the surface and useless, it goes. I use the terminate function sensibly to deal with surface debris that can mess up my game, therefore I vote it should stay. The moment ksp can deal with surface debris in a sane manner, then I vote for the terminate button to be user disabled. But never to go away completely. Never, never, never. Never.
  7. Condolences to Mrs. Kerman.
  8. It's a tie for me. Mainsail, cubic strut, and round eight. Nuff said.
  9. A Same. About 125 years. 39 kerbals stranded awaiting rescue. I named the save "Rescue Rangers" but sadly I'm probably not going to rescue them till the base game bug platform is stabile. Till then I play in separate saves.
  10. Right... Over a hundred views and no one says I'm off base here? Roverdude? Opinion???
  11. My KSP world now seems upside down with the proverbial "dogs and cats living together" situation. At some point my recollection of past forum history there were a number of veterans calling for both realism AND gameplay. Now (it seems to me, and yes I could be interpreting it wrong) those same veterans are calling for game play in spite of realism. Can someone explain or clarify please?
  12. For sure! I've got a .2x save file I can't seem to convert to 1.0.4. A real pita.
  13. From my albeit neophyte perspective I am under the understanding that real world Nucs operated under normal duty cycles should not overheat at all. So... All this hubbub seems over egged. I could be completely wrong here. Just my opinion. Now... If we all want a "gamey" version of a nuc that gets hot, well... Ok.
  14. I'm so confused. New games? Still bugs? I support our squad comrades but ffs fix first then global domination.
  15. Please attach this to Gilly as soon as possible and report back.
  16. I support this 110% by pressing Shift Z over and over and over... oh crap my post just exploded...
  17. I wish fuel cells did not always draw fuel from the farthest reaches of my entire vessel.
  18. I relation to the OP - I was taught early on that the basic definition of "life" is an entity that: 1) Consumes energy 2) excretes waste 3) Can reproduce The backdrop of a specific chemistry paradigm is irrelevant. Maybe I've forgotten a few details over the the years... OH yes... And that the definition of "Life" should never be commingled with the definition of "Intelligence" I am an entity that consumes energy, excretes waste and "can" reproduce (but have chose not to) - so I probably qualify as as an example of "life". Now as to the "intelligent" bit, Hmmm... Guess Jury is still out ;-)
  19. Frankly I wouldn't worry about it. Go do something else for as long as you want. KSP likely won't disappear soon.
  20. Well played sir! Very well played indeed! - - - Updated - - - That's why they had banks of guys with slide rules doing calculations in parallel.
  21. Let's also not forget that back then in the olden days people also used math.
