Didn't see this before, sorry. But I'm afraid that is not a problem with KSPRC: EVE and RSS configs remains as in the previous version. Must be another thing. I don't know what are you talking about. At least show me a screen, please, I don't have many time lately to play... so I'm not familiarized with the actual planets extensions mods. But, again, my environmental confirgs remains as in previous versions, so I'm suspecting that is not a KSPRC issue. Thanks for your criticism, very appreciated. But, please, stay away from the AVP(or any other pack) vs KSPRC topic No so much time ago, all we were in the EVE and TR threads, improving all this together, step by step. I have great memories from that days and I appreciate and respect every one of the modders & users. Their efforts allways adds something to this game, and this deserves our full respect. Still remember when clouds were only a plain texture over kerbin. My first pack of clouds just added a fake shadow effect to that idea. Look what we build thogether, finally, thanks to people like Shaw or Rbray89. Trial and error, experimentation, education. That is the basis of science, and that path leads us always to our best achievements.

Impressive. Seriously. Many thanks and kudos. I haven't time yet to try the tool to create new atmos, but I will post a little review as soon as I can. Things I still miss: - The effect in the map view. - It seems fully compatible now with EVE and WIP EVE, but still redender the scattering over the clouds, so you can't see the clouds if you aren't very, very close. Could you render the scatter "under" the clouds layers? Or maybe over them, using the dispersion effect style over the physical objects? Is that possible? (I know I'm requesting compatibility features with a bit outdated mod and his WIP version, so please don't be mad with me, lol)
-
Thanks for that tip! Great work btw! EDIT: I'm retouching a lot of things and probably the next version is coming soon (sooner than usual). Scattering mod is close to be ready and seems to be much better than expected. So I hope to have the new version as soon as 1.0 get out and the mods of the KSPRC frame are updated. Chatterer sounds will be back. (New) Smokescreen effects will be back. And a lot of new surprises...

Everything is well there, I think. Is the effect of the DDS mipmaps. If you go closer you should see the same level of detail as in the PNG version. But, at far views, the texture size and level of detail decreases. This allow to save memory but is more realistic too: as in real life, if you go far away from an object, you see less details in the surface.

Those pics are just samples about what can I do with wip-EVE. By default the mod is "simplier" (is under development), but I've been doing my own tests lately...

The new EVE is not ready (as example, the atmosphere and oceans shader are not ready yet). Very, very, very promising... but not ready. It's sad, because as mod is probably the hugest thing I ever seen in KSP. Combinated with the Texture Replacer Mod, literally allow to create a new whole experience in the environments of the game. So... We should be praying by Rbray hired by Squad. Or for his back to the forums... (And by cases like this is why the mod developers deserves so much support from all of us.)

I tried it a bit. Congratulations! Looks very nice and seems very, very promising. But I have a few questions: - Why you need to change the sun flare to a more primitive one? - If I'm not doing nothing wrong, seems not compatible with EVE and the new wip-EVE. Right? Seems like the camera layers are very important here so, depending on what camera you choose, you can see the coulds and effects from EVE or, instead, your atmo scattering... But, could be this compatible in the future with wip-EVE or, as least, with the 7-4 EVE version?

Thanks! About Rbray89, I hope so too. There is a lot of very capable people in this forums (like him, shaw, Nathan and many, many others) and they deserve it. They have made this game more accurate, beauty and fun... and if Squad are intelligent and they have the opportunity, they should try to turn stock all that good ideas and features. I have my fingers crossed to have beauty (and clouded) atmos in 1.0...

Excuse my absence, people. IRL problems... But I'm back now and I have tons of new things to release! Unfortunately Rbray89 is not back ("yet", I wish), so the update to the new EVE system will be impossible for now. (If you don't know about it you can see this http://imgur.com/a/NXCuk or this http://imgur.com/a/wff3f or this http://imgur.com/a/6X04q ) I'm gonna try this new mod http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/115408-WIP-Scatterer-atmospheric-scattering-mod to get similar effects to my last configs of WIP EVE, but we will to wait to get the advanced features of the new EVE. That means "like a sir common enterprises" will be delayed until the WIP EVE features become completed. Buuuut... in the other hand, less the buildings and some other things, I've revamped close to all textures. (so hope you like it...) Stay alert, new version very soon.

Sorry, but I have no idea about that, can you send me your log to try to find the problem? Windows, Mac or Linux? Clean install?

Just updated to 0.90 while I finish the next version. Btw, if you people are interested, I posted an illustration about what was to be my Valentina for the mod in the contest about the new female characters: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/110612-Valentina-s-Day-community-contest?p=1741194&viewfull=1#post1741194

I have this illustration ready since some time ago for Renaissance Compilation, waiting to the best moment to release... but I don't gonna have a better opportunity to show it than here and now. So here goes my input: I post it in a screen resolution to better placement in the forum, a much higher resolution is available.

I totally respect that way of think. But I must say... that is why I hate to include the necessary plugins in the mod. At the end, a lot of people forget the ultimate reality: I can be very skilled on my remakes and configurations, but all this is possible only thanks to the plugins creators. Without them we are lost. Kudos for the plugins creators!

Sadly we can't play the environmental update until we can get the new version of Environmental Visual Enhancements mod (by Rbray89), there is a WIP version to try (which I'm using to do so much work as possible before the final release) , but still contains bugs. Truth is that EVE and TR are two of my most favorite mods, so right now I'm like ripped in half. I hope Rbray89 back soon.

WIP - Environmental Visual Enhancements Development
Proot replied to rbray89's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Only a few people, I'm afraid. But I refuse to believe that Rbray89 has abandoned this mod. In his own words, this was gonna be months of hard work for him, so he warned his absence... The mod is in his very best moment, and Rbray's math knowledge to handle his shaders is pretty hard for the most. So yeah, we can agree in one thing: is a pretty visible absence. I miss him so much... And that is why I insist that we must give love and all our support to our favorite modders.
