I did get an invitation from KSP to join their testing group. But there was no payment involved, so I declined. Not that I don't mind helping out, but I'm not signing a legal contract for peanuts. The novel I've been working on was started before I began fan fic writing using KSP as a backdrop. @Just Jim was the one who encouraged me to step into the realm of fan fic! Something I have not told anyone on here... maybe it's time. I joined that same group way back in February... I was super honored to do anything, even volunteer, I gladly said yes!!! And I stayed with them until the job became available a few months later... and when it did, I jumped on it. Like I said earlier, I was in the right place at the right time... Well, honestly, at the time I had no clue the job was going to happen, and I don't want to give the impression that one automatically leads to the other. But it was really fun, and gave me a chance to really learn a lot. This afternoon got a little weird (real life crap) but I'm going to work on it tomorrow. And so far we've had our normal rainy season, but the hurricane hit far north of here. I'm down near Tampa, and we only got the edge of it, luckily. It got dark and gloomy and windy... It was weird, you could feel that it was really close, but it didn't get too bad, nothing like last year. I just feel bad for the folks up north, they got hammered.
