Would that be part of it, or were you just leaving that as an exercise for the reader? Could offer a cool opportunity for a transport "prologue". Like fly there, decouple wings, race haha. Fart if I know. Landing a cargo plane with a payload that isn't super secured is hazardous enough. Personally, I would put a link to VesselMover so everybody can just pick up their cars and trucks, move them to KSC2, then start the rally. But heh, modifying the config to make generator use only LF, would be enough for the contest. @DrunkenKerbalnaut Also, I find out that autostrut take place when you load up a craft. No autostrut showing on editor, And when load the craft, ... BOOM. They appear. What exactly is called in the load sequence? Some .CFG? Did not find any that I can modify directly in order to prevent this behavior. 'cause modifying the config is apprently not enough.. :'( (ForceHeaviest to Off) If you happen to have an idea on how to do so... I'll buy. Hey, just saw this. Sorry. The LF only generator can be done by simply commenting out the Oxidizer requirement on a fuel cell, and if you like, adding an intakeAir requirement. Need an appropriate intake, now? The Juno sized one is probably plenty, or you can be lazy like me. I added a intakeAir generator line to my jeep that generates air like an RTG generates EC, it just checks for oxygen first. We were discussing a hypothetical rally in the future, between the old KSC and the desert ruins.

Basically its built around a fuel refinery, that is what everything is mounted on. I ran out of space for the Juno's so just put them on the roof (seemed like a good idea at the time) but I had to run some fuel lines to them. The wheels on the back double as spares and wheelie prevention. Its sort of inspired by this

It's not THAT long of a course. It can last about 3 stages but then needs refuelling so the refinery is slightly useful (I could just refuel by plane I suppose). It also makes a really useful strong mount for stuff. (The roof, engines, some fuel and spare tires are all attached to it). Plus I think it looks cool Nice jeep, what mod are you using for it? Guess that's one way to do it. IIRC the mountains have plenty of ore. The jeep is a "Rovemate Classic" I'm working on. I'll be releasing it the day we start the Dakar. It burns liquid and intake for EC, so Kerbin and Laythe useful.

mrmcp1
Just calculated the time for my test run 1 hour 54 minutes and 36 seconds That includes 3 role overs, 1 repaired tire as well as picking up the crew of my hovercraft I have also had to abandon my hovercraft plans as stage 3 will be impassible for it

About the Dakar, for me the idea is to push yourself, take on the challenge, make it as hard for yourself as you can, don't want to be a Red Kull sponsored millionair driving around with airco. Take your junk from the SPH/VAB and put together a "junker" and hope it can make the 7 stages ! Don't try to prove us you are the fastest, prove us that you are a BAD-AS ! mrmcp1
I think that stage 2 should be named the Destroyer of vehicles It did this to my truck (somehow managed to drive 10km like this) What kind of repairs are allowed, are we allowed to fly in new parts by plane or just rearrange what is on the vehicle?
