StrandedonEarth
@LordFerret, the cycle of life goes on, friend. If it helps, one family friend just had a baby and another friend is due anytime.

richfiles
My car died the other day. Engine would turn, but made no indication of spark... My old car did the same thing... I'd held onto it for parts... till three months ago. Sold it to someone for real cheap so they could turn it around and use it as a trade in. Exact same problem. Exact same part... Brand new on my old car... I sold it. $234 repair... Again... Edited September 27, 2018 by richfiles It's random chance that I ended up with another of the same model car... It's just much newer. Delay
PE: Run for 30 minutes staight. I run 15 minutes, can't do the other 15 because my legs hurt a lot. Yes, I don't care about doing sport. Apparently that's graded in the exact same way as if I didn't do anything at all. Great. Fantastic! 15 min of everything hurting PLUS painful legs for up to an hour later for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Fantastic! 15 min of everything hurting PLUS painful legs for up to an hour later for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I have only two lessons of PE per week, each 50mins long. However, those two lessons are lumped together into a 1hr 40min double lesson. And the only thing we’ve done this term is football(soccer for those of you across the pond)!! I don’t like football!! Of course, I don’t really like any sports at all
Delay
The problem I have with it is that 15 minutes of work, while not being what was demanded, are still 15 minutes of work. That's graded the same as 0 minutes of work and I just don't understand how or why this is possible.

TheSaint
Well, as someone who just turned 50 and was not into sports or fitness when I was younger, I will give you this advice: Get in shape when you are younger and stay in shape as you get older. It is much easier than trying to get in shape when you are older.
Geonovast
We're having this issue at work where we get a lot of spam calls. A lot are dead air, robots, or sales calls, but most of them sound like a fax machine or dialup connection. I've gotten three in the last half hour. I refuse to believe that this many computers are accidentally calling both our main number and our direct lines with this kind of frequency. My ear literally hurts. It's insanely shrill. There's no way this is legal. In fact I would consider it audible assault, kinda like that one guy that got charged with assault after sending a flashy gif to someone he knew had epilepsy with the intention to cause a seizure. My phone provider doesn't seem to care. I need to know who to sue for my hearing damage.
Delay
Is your workplace that important to even warrant spam like that? Meanwhile this entire larvae situation has gotten a lot worse. Usually I spot them a few deays or even months apart, one at a time. I've had two in the last 4 hours. I need to find out where exactly they're coming from. My theory is that they nested inside an electronic device on my desk - a monitor perhaps. Edit: Just spotted a third one. I'm going insane. Geonovast
9 minutes ago, Delay said: Is your workplace that important to even warrant spam like that? They're actually not calling the business. I really hate how phone systems are set up. We have a main number, which rings all of our phones. I doubt they're calling this one, as the company has had it for over a decade and it wouldn't be on any lists by now. We also have a general mailbox number, which rings all of our phones. We have a supply mailbox, sales mailbox, service mailbox. All with their own direct numbers, all of which ring some of our phones. Each of our phones has a direct line. Not an extension, but a regular phone number. Each of our phones also has a personal mailbox, with its own number. Calling that number from outside the system may ring our phone, I'm not certain. So that's, what? 13 phone numbers for 4 people. Most of these numbers are on residential cold call lists. So these robots randomly pick numbers from lists of phone number, or just literally generate random numbers to call. They're calling from their own pool of numbers, so if we block one, there's however many thousands of others they can call from. And, of course, our phone provider has a limit as to how many numbers we can block, because all the blocking is done on their end. Even though we have a phone router here (It's VOIP), I have no access to it, and it can't block numbers. For some reason. Our old system was antiquated and crappy, but it did whatever I told it to and the phones actually make sense. Oh, and I hate the phones themselves. It's a 4 button process to page someone. Last phone system was one button.
0111narwhalz
Josh Parnell has officially stopped development of Limit Theory. We all had our suspicions that this would be the eventual outcome, but to see it actually occur is still shocking, somehow. It had almost become a fact of life: the sun fuses hydrogen, wind and water erode mountains, and Josh works on LT. I'm not even sure this is a complaint, really. I feel less sad and more... relieved, to be honest. And he's releasing the source code, as well.

kerbiloid
The book and movie tell us that Hodor was named so because Bran was crying: "Hold door!" (btw why without "the"?) But in reality Bran was a well-mannered boy, and he was crying: "Could you hold the door, please?" Koodyooholzedoplis always hated his real name and was reducing it to Hodor.
