It's a pretty pity that the Roman carriages were harnessed with horses.

The two-elephant-backs-wide roads would be much more practical these days, when people have heavy cars.

The Space Shuttle would, probably, had had better boosters too!!

I'm pretty sure this IS NOT the proper way to add afterburner to a airliner...

On a side note... I think Boeing should expand their business into the clothing industry... selling underwear...

Fun one but false outside of boosters being limited by rail, first Romans  never used var chariots but they was used for racing, and probably for fast transport if you did not want to ride.
Wagons came in various sized but I guess it was some standardization because of ruts.  first mine cars however was narrow gauge as they was pulled by people or horses.
It was also many standards for railroad gauges in UK before it got standardized. Width and height of trains is also not strictly related to gauge.
US trains run on diesel and can be higher than European ones so they can double stack containers.

Curious, I was unaware of any other dual tracked-wheeled vehicles besides BTs.

This was the German-Swedish method, I believe. The US also commissioned some of the Christies in the end.

Take a 3M super car, speed it to 250 MPH on the KSC - Kennedy Space Center :) , crash it, totally it and pay less than 720 USD for repairing the facilities.

It made me remember the following thread so badly... :D

Found my video on that contest!!

I had already posted about the Lockheed 1105, but this video is just great - it not only shows how giganormous this monster would be, but somehow the youtuber found a BBC's report about it!!!

Really great video!
