On the other hand, their dress code is enough aesthetically disgusting to be unforgivable. On the third hand, the emperor's dress is the worst among them. Especially those idiotically bare thin arms sticking out of the cuirass and the cloak and lack of headware. The dress artist was on holidays doing these suits. Like in Dune, a lot of pathos, megalomania, talks, and SFX. Much less action. Never liked Asimov, and like him now even less. I am of the mind that JMS cannot redo Babylon 5 without updating it like Trek did to it's own peril. I mean... every scifi tv show is a product of it's time... that's part of the charm. And even then Babylon 5 had plenty of lessons that were simply.... timeless. Not sure I wanna see a Babylon 5 that is forced to update the characters to fit all the modern shifts in culture at the expense of all else. If JMS tries to do his own thing I do think the execs will do their best to kill it... and the CW? The same folks responsible for all the teen soap opera superhero shows that mistake preachyness for depth? CW may want JMS... but I don't trust CW. Every high-thrust spaceship should have a room with seats to let everyone sit in a seat rather than heroically withstand the troubles on a bench. 2. (Here and in other movies). Why do I never see anybody brooming the ship? How can it stay clean for seasons? 3. The Captainess got more mature due to the space upheavals. Or they changed the flight makeup artist on the ship. 4. Nuke Posted October 23, 2021 Share Posted October 23, 2021 (edited) its actually run by the high school. they use the proceeds to fund teen athletics. so you are pretty much watching the movie in the high school auditorium. its actually not terrible for what it is. short of hopping on a ferry and going to juneau to watch it, or go to anchorage and watch it on imax, which i could afford mind you if i give up on upgrading my video card. perhaps wrangel has it, they are only a couple islands over, i could probibly kayak it if the seas are calm and provided a kayak costs less than a ferry ticket and the seas aren't 3+ feet high (its fall so they probibly are).
