Help me (re-)find a mod...

There was a mod I had a few years ago that I'd like to have back, but I can't remember the name.

It was fairly simple, all it did was retexture Kerbin so it looked from the air and space as if there were cities built on it (I seem to recall there were even lights for the night side of Kerbin), but when Rovering around on the surface there was really nothing, and the textures weren't nearly high enough quality to make out any details from so close.

Would love if someone can help me find this again.

Thanks, but that's not it.  I have SVE installed and don't have the textures I'm looking for.

For emphasis: The textures ARE visible when driving a rover on the ground, just in VERY low detail, and with zero polycount (so no actual buildings like for example KerbinSide)

What version of KSP and what quality of SVE do you have?

I have not updated this to 1.8, and don’t have plans to, but it should work on 1.7.3 just fine.

this changes the terrain textures ands high resolution scaled space textures as well.

I have SVE installed, and it's working, but it's not the textures that I'm looking for in this case.

Again, the pack I am looking for had textures that made it look as if there were cities all over Kerbin. Day and Night.

That is most likely EVE. It comes with city lights. It’s the only mod that adds that feature.

Thank you all for trying to help (really. thanks.  I mean it. no sarcasm <.<), but none of the mods mentioned so far come with the textures I'm looking for.

Let me rephrase, maybe?

The pack I had replaces all textures (!) on Kerbin so that instead of barren grasslands, it looks like there's sprawling cities ALMOST everywhere, most notably in the relatively empty area between the KSC and the mountain range to the west of it. And these are visible during the day (!) as well as the night.  It is very possible that it requires EVE for the latter effect, and places the cities in the same locations as the EVE city lights, for consistency. But that's not even really what I am looking for, I'm looking for SOMETHING to look at when flying my planes around Kerbin, which I usually do during daytime.

Also to reiterate, the textures are still very much visible when landed or in a rover, but it's very clear they were meant to be viewed from a certain height as they're quite washed out and low detail from this view.

Side note: I did install Kerbin Cities upon which I stumbled in my search for this mod, and while those highrises look neat, they don't cover a fraction of the area that this mod did.

I remember using something like this. But I don't recall the name.

Perhaps this one?

(I'm on mobile now, can't check!)

Perhaps the Renaissance Compilation?

The city lights one By Rbray was incorporated into EVE a long time ago when he was developing the mod, and KSPRC uses EVE as well to to get the effect. EVE is literally the only mod that adds city textures to the surface. Some visual packs edit the textures, for better, or worse, but EVE is the base mod. I’m not sure what the OP could be looking for, if not EVE. Perhaps just an obscure visual pack?

But... EVE does NOT add city textures to the ground.  I have it installed and the grass texture is just plain old grass texture.

Edit:  imgur.com/a/ThxFdac

With the mod I'm looking for, this entire area should look like one big city.  If EVE should do that then I guess my installation is bugged and I should figure out why...

that is precisely what EVE does...

At this point, it sounds like something is wrong with your install, and you probably need to post a bug report so someone can troubleshoot

Yep, that looks like the textures I was wanting.  If they come with EVE than something is wrong with my install...  Gonna take a close look at that later tonight.

Edit: Ok, so after a clean reinstall of EVE I know have the textures back that I was lookin for. :)

However... they don't look anywhere NEAR as sharp as the ones in your screenshot, @Galileo  Is there maybe some additional texture pack you have installed for those?

Was there ever a final answer regarding this? I had seen and was looking for these as well.

Galileo's screenshot there is simply JNSQ with EVE City Lights, in daytime.

Thanks. I'm using SVE and I've just noticed that both kind of look like garbage up close. Must be my settings. Does Citylights/Stock Eve use a repeating placement of that same city detail to place cities or is it just in one spot?

Actually just finished looking at the DDS, and the city textures from JNSQ seem to be what's in that photo. So yeah, I'm guessing that it uses that texture and just, dots it around the landscape.
