These two ringed worlds must be compared

So if you want a simple review check out this post: https://kerbalanders.wordpress.com/2020/01/21/ksp-2-ring-planets-breakdown/.But if we should discuss it let's do it here.

1. Which one would you prefer to visit first

2. Which one looks more awesome to go to

3. How hard do you think these places will be.

If you want to add more discussion questions, feel free to do so!

Moar gas giants (especially those with intricate moon systems) certainly catch my eye, but I've been in the mood for a super-earth with a lot of potato moons for a while, so I picked Ovin.

A hard choice.

How do we know it has only one moon? realistically it should be an shepherding moon inside of the rings but it might be to small to be easy visible or in the shadow, also more moons further out, all our gas giants has lots of moons after all.

I just follow the OP description.

P.S.
I find both names horrid for my Slavic ear.
"Ovin" sounds like "овин", "barn for threshing", an archaic and rustic term for it
"Glumo" sounds close to "глумиться", "глумливый", "to scoff at somebody demonstratively cynically and mockingly", a word with no positive connotation

Considering no one from Star Theory has said how many moons either planet has, I'd be a bit leery assuming any random wordpress blog page has anything nearing correct information on it, even if they used the word "kerbal" in the string they used when they signed up for their free page.

And I said nothing about the real KSP-2 planetary system, I answered the OP question and given assumptions.

Considering Ovin (from the screenshots) looks like a standard planet but with rings, and Glumo looks like a gas giant that you can't land on, I'd go for Ovin too.

Reasoning:

  1. We'll have no lack of new places to land on.
  2. KSP 1 has a shortage of gas giants, and I hope KSP 2 doesn't.
  3. Ovin looks nearly impossible to take off from and we already have one of those (Eve).

So I vote Glumo.

On one hand, Glumo is a gas giant so you shouldn't really be able to "go there".

On the other hand, that hasn't stopped people from landing on Jool before.

In the end it'll probably be a matter of whichever one is closest.

Yep. Another place to go LOL

Probably Glumo, if for no other reason than the fact that it's a gas giant.

Fusion drives take hydrogen or helium isotopes for the most part, and what better place to find that stuff than a gas giant? If nothing else, I'd set up a small orbital colony for refueling my interstellar transport ships.
