Alright SpaceDust fans, I was on the grind for a few days while recovering from covid. Let me know if it's horribly broken or something.

Not every system is included but I tried to hit all the more recent ones. Not balanced yet but I tried my best. I mainly looked at the tags given by RationalResources for the target body to get an idea for composition. If you've got better ideas for balance or suggestions, have a go at it. I'll most likely accept the pull request.

Hi, CKAN has no problems with modularity, and there has been no such decision to never add this mod to CKAN; please don't make up or spread misinformation like that. What actually happened is documented in the pull request that I linked on this thread when we started the process of adding this mod to CKAN: We noticed that updates were being done by replacing the same download(s) over and over rather than releasing new versions. I tried to explain the problems that this causes for users trying to keep up, but we never heard back from the author (who was "taking a break from KSP" at that time related to toxicity in the community), so the pull request is still open but waiting.

It's just a concern over release management. With other KSP mods, the first release of a major version would be something like "1.1.0"; then when more changes are ready for users, "1.1.1" would be released with those changes; then later "1.1.2" when further changes are ready; and so on. That way users can understand and clearly communicate which changes they currently have installed, and updating from one of those versions to the next can be done reliably. The way this mod was being maintained when I last looked at it in May–August, all of those different releases of different versions were being called "1.1", which makes it impossible to know which of those intermediate sub-versions a user has and throws a wrench into automated schemes for maintaining and updating those files (including CKAN).

Thanks a lot, I really enjoy GU but wanted to use it alongside mods like FFT and this will help so much.

Tried to change my homeplanet to Rhan but I have some bugs. I already tried to restart the game.
- Their is a huge sun in the sky
- Tree textures are squares
- Timewarping to next sunrise in KSC screen doesn't seem to work (goes on for infinity, lighting doesn't change)
- Both these bugs disappear once I loaded a vessel and returned to the KSC, on the runway everything seems to look okay besides:
- The oceans are invisible (I can crash in the water though)
(Tried to homeswitch to AC any my oceans are invisible there as well, the other bugs don't seem to be present there, timewarp works for example)

Alright for bugs 1, 3, 4 this is normal expected behavior, ksp doesn't like it when kerbin (which always has to exist and in this case is just reskinned as rhan) doesn't directly orbit the sun. These are just minor side effects of the way we get around it and imho is better than not having the homeswitch at all.

For the tree textures are squares, that's a new one, I would suggest a full reinstall of GU.

Water invisible, we've battled this bug for a long time the only way we know to fix it is just to do a quicklsave and quickload.

This mod is compatible with KSP 1.12.2(although i never tried it today, so i might be wrong), since the thread title clearly says(at the start of the title) 1.11.x - 1.12.x, the x means any mini version released, which means(as an example for 1.12.x):

1.12.0, 1.12.1, 1.12.2, and 1.12.3.

Just did a fresh install. Only installed GU with EpsilonEridani system.
I used hyperedit to send a plane to Rhan and I saw the oceans.

Then just edited homeswitch in GU settings and when the game loads my homeworld is Rhan but the oceans are gone again.
@StarCrusher96, do you might have an idea how to fix this bug?

Edit: just tried to change my homeworld to Alpha Centauri system and the oceans are also gone here.

From what i can tell - first log - no gu stuff
Second log has GU - and the Eridani Homeswitch - but only has Alpha Centauri celestials. 
So very simple - remove that Eridani Homeswitch folder in GameData. As instructed you need to remove these if you pick another homeworld.
Normally the KSC screen should look 'normal' with an AC homeswitch. Let me know what happened after you removed the folder.

This weird thing is: I only have GU installed (with EVE and Scatterer) and with no homeswitch the oceans do work.
Didn't know I had to delete those folders, just did, and still nothing to sea (couldn't resist the pun, sorry :p)

I did a little flight and when I reached about 125 km suddely the oceans faded it, but they disappear again when I got lower.

Heyo!

This might have been asked before but is there any inclusion with MKS/USI and/or KSPIE resource wise ?

And I also remember some rogue planets and similar being part of GU but my current install seems to be a little empty (1.2) or are those parts still in the process of being updated ?

It really doesn’t give the modders anything to go on by merely yelling ‘please fix it!’   
 

I would bet that if you supplied the requested info as found in the OP or the “How to get support threads” pinned in various places around the forums, it would go a long way to resolving your issue.   Until then, they’re only guessing.

3 warnings is normal when using GU.

Would it be possible to fix this in the GU Discord? It's easier to communicate and check things over there.

A rogue planet will be part of the Alien Worlds expansion that's being updated right now :) On the Github GU 1.2 page, there's a list of upcoming systems.
