How do I find the mods that require a certain mod

Now that 1.12.2 is out, I want to clean my GameData folder and, since some mods, like B9PartSwitch, CommunityCategoryKit and CommunityResourcePack are requirements to OTHER mods that I may have deleted, how do I know if I stilll need them?

That's one reason to use CKAN, so you don't have to manage dependencies on your own.

Unfortunately, CKAN does not run on Linux... :(

So, I'll ask differentely: ;)

What mods depend on:

  • CommunityCategoryKit
  • CommunityResourcePack
  • B9PartSwitch

there isn't (that I know of) a way to easily find the information you are requesting. Maybe @linuxgurugamer might have a way - the reason is in his name. ;p

you could do a manual Github search in the CKAN repository... Curseforge and Spacedock don't have the information... and to be honest, I don't think CKAN is even set up that way either.

Python on a local copy of the CKAN repo might be the best course. Ask @Lisias or @linuxgurugamer  nicely  and throw a cup of 'Jeb's Nuclear Coffee' their way and they might hook it up. :D

Also, for what version of KSP?

For KSP versions 1.8-1.12, I was able to do this for you:

Mods depending on CCC:

CommunityResourcePack:

The FAQ indicates that CKAN can be run on Linux via Mono. have you investigated that?

I THINK it initially didn't and I kept that in mind, thanks for the heads up!

Oops! According to HebaruSan, I've missed that since the beginning! :/

THANKS, guys!
