Buuut I don't think Switch would be able to handle KSP2 with just 4GB of memory. There's a reason they dropped support for last gen big consoles.

Oh yeah. That makes sense. It would be cool though. They do have the SD card which may handle it, idk.

@The Aziz meant ram. And I agree the switch isn't powerful enough maybe the next Nintendo console will be though.

Who knows when the next Nintendo Console will come out though. Typically their consoles come out every 10 or so years. I had the WiiU, which came out in (*frantically looks it up*) 2012, and the switch came out in 2017. Okay, so every 5 or so years, but I think Nintendo's gonna grind out the switch for as long as they can, especially since Splatoon 3 immediately got a TON of traction with the public. KSP 2 could be done development by the time the next console comes out, if not close too. So, sadly, KSP 2 releasing on the Switch or any future Nintendo console is nothing but a pipe dream ;.;.

WII U was an outlier, I mean, it sucked so badly that Nintendo broke their own timeline and came out with Switch early.

As for grinding out the Switch, oh, they are going to ride that train until it derails. I don't think we'll see a Switch 2/Pro until 2025, minimum. And that might just be the announcement.

I would have thought iOS and MacOS would be targets before switch.

yes, yes, who wants to play KSP on tiny screen with limited controls .... oddly on one has said that about switch.

I would play KSP on a steam deck if I had one.

Steam decks run Linux by the way

Spoiler

With KDE Plasma

However the games from Steam will be played as Windows executables with Proton (a fork or something of Wine) unless a Linux version is available...

Or you could just get windows on it.

No, thanks. I think there's a reason they chosed to use Linux.

You just side boot it on an external hard river so you can dock it and use it as a normal PC but then unplug it and use Linux .

We're getting off topic.

Yes, the PS 4 and One has 16 GB and is far stronger than the Switch, they are also compatible with current generation consoles and use the same cpu as pc's does.
