Yeah CKAN doesn't work yet. KerbalStuff says it's CKAN-compatible, but it's not. Didn't realize people were trying to install it with that. I'll try to add it after the next update. For now I'm adding a part about it in the OP that says you can't get it from CKAN.

So, CKAN needs a file to be reviewed and accepted before it can manage a mod.

At this time we don't have a ckan metadata file for this mod, since it depends on other mods that are not in the CKAN (yet!).

However, whenever someone adds a mod to kerbalstuff, kerbalstuff prepares a template metadata file and sets the ckan badge on the page... regardless of the file being accepted or not.

So in reality, there are a lot of mods that have a ckan badge on KS, but have not been accepted into the ckan yet.

We are trying to catch up with all the mod requests, but it will take us some time, especially since right now all the team seems to be busy with real life. We could really use some help by the way :)

Hope that cleared it out. If you have further questions about CKAN, let us know (preferrably on github).

Thanks for taking care of that. I've tried a few time to get a CKAN test file to work, but because it has a lot of odds and ends, instead of a single folder, it never worked. Who do I contact about removing the CKAN badge from KerbalStuff until it actually works? I have no issues with CKAN and would love to have it compatible, but I get far too many questions about things not working because that KS CKAN mention that for the moment I'd rather have it gone.

I immeditelly noticed something was weird about it. This is not your style. Crude, loopy, unrealistic. This is forked OPM.

The OPM license allows it. He used to include my entire mod into his download, but I asked him to remove that as that was just unnecessary weight and could only lead to people coming here with questions about that mod. But he fixed that in recent updates, so I'm okay with it now. I'm not getting any people here that are mistaking his work for mine, so until people start bothering with questions about that mod en masse I don't even mind him using the name (since its pretty descriptive).

Oh, ok then. At first, I've seen the imgur gallery only and I thought you made an update, but I was very suspicious. Hope you won't repeat what he did. :)

So, Robau, I've decided I can't put up with mediocre planets anymore. I decided to copy you take inspiration and get someone to do my textures and half the work enlist help of my own.

Felsmak will be helping me turn his planet ideas into a working pack totally incompatible with this! :D

The metadata was wrongly included, but it was missing the correct dependencies. I have removed it from the index now.

For the next update of OPM we want to add biomes to our latest moon Tekto, the Titan analog orbiting Sarnus. We liked the crowd-sourced process a lot, so we wanted to do that again for Tekto. So if you have the time or the interest, we'd love to see you drop by and contribute. This is how it works:

Below is a link to a Google Docs spreadsheet. This has four sheets. Info and Moon Background can't be edited and are designed to help you. They contain biome maps, moon backgrounds, etc. Everything you need to write the science descriptions. The Blurbs sheet is not important, its the Tekto Blurbs sheet where you submit your descriptions for Tekto's science descriptions. It should all be pretty straightforward. Ideally we'd rather have you fill out empty situations instead of writing a blurb for a situation that already has a blurb, but if you have an description that's just too amazing, there is room for a second description.

I'm waiting for him to make the gas giants' textures before anything else.

if you want some inspiration I've made an alternative sarnus texture that adds an equivalent of the saturn's north pole hexagon

(the texture itself is the almost same of normal OPM's sarnus, but you can get inspiration from that if you want)

I also have made a pluto/charon binary system (2 mutually tidally locked bodies revolving around a baricenter in between), I don't have textures but that can be "easily" fixed (by someone that can do textures :D)

This of course are at disposal of anyone who wants it, I don't have time to maintain a mod myself so I'm happy if my stuff finds a home
