  1. Wabi Sabi - Perfect Imperfection The Overview: Wabi-Sabi. A word that has held prevalence in Japanese culture for centuries. A word that holds so much meaning and depth, it lacks a proper translation into English. It means the acceptance of transience and imperfection, and appreciation of beauty that is imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete in nature. Wabi-Sabi holds an appreciation of both natural objects and forces of nature, appreciating austerity, modesty, intimacy, asymmetry and roughness. Our planets easily fit this brand. Instead of embracing perfect spheres, habitable planets, perfect and balanced solar systems, we have a different unique approach. Each of our bodies has something unique to offer. In this mod, you won't cheat orbit around each body, or just observe from afar in tracking station, but be motivated to say "I want to go there for myself", and furthermore, "I want to stay here and keep coming back". Planets are unique experiences. They shouldn't be one off screenshot generators, but full of worth, value, and creativity blended with realism. Everything from a super-kerbin with exotic ammonia based life, to a lonely vacuum planet should have a relatively similar amount of value and unique content. If you want solar systems crammed with content, uniquely hand crafted planets, with plenty of gameplay, offering new challenges and reasons to explore, then this is it. Quality > quantity. No filler. In-depth lore and story that will send you on an odyssey spanning the small cluster of stars you find yourself in, somewhere between galaxies. Coming soon™️. 2. Stock Planet Expansion or S.P.E is a pack that adds countless moons to the Kerbal solar system for you to explore! From Moho to Eeloo, we got you covered! Meet the moons Grillian, moon of Moho "Grillian is the Mohonian moon. It's surface is covered in vast, trademark canyons that have baffled scientists ever since their discovery. Strangely though, Grillian appears more frequently in discussions of whether or not 'Mohonian' is a word rather than it does in scientific reports." Grillian is a half-molten mountainous moon in orbit of Moho. It's lava actually damages spacecrafts, so perhaps it's best to stay clear of those areas. Driea, moon of Eve "Driea is a small, pink moon in orbit of Eve. For reasons unknown though it has a huge, silver mountain on it's equator. Scientists still do not know what caused it, considering Driea is likely geologically inactive, and thus Mount Hyacinthum remains a mystery to Kerbalkind." Driea is Eve's first moon, Gilly becoming Eve's second moon due to it's larger orbit. Driea has a landscape covered in hills as well as one truly enormous mountain that science cannot explain. Trao, moon of Kerbin "Once a moon similar to Mun, Trao has been struck by a rather large object a long time ago, resulting in a large impact crater on one side of the moon that reaches all the way to the moon's core. The resulting debris either impacted the moon elsewhere, or is still orbiting Kerbin. The impact also caused the moon to spin out of control, so be cautious." Trao becomes a new moon of Kerbin, it becomes the iconic blue planet's new second moon due to it orbiting further away than the moon, yet not as far out as Minmus. The debris from the impact also formed a ring around Kerbin near Trao's orbit. Smov and Prolla, moons of Duna "Smov is a strange, uneven moon orbiting Duna. For some weird reason it shares it's larger neighbor Ike's pattern of a gray surface with strange, darker areas. One thing is certain, Smov is a lot more bumpy." "Prolla is a strange moon and the outermost of Duna's three moons. While Smov shares it's colors with Ike, Prolla seems to have colors similar to Duna, with red lowlands and ice-covered highlands. Why Smov and Prolla love cosplaying as the two larger bodies in the Dunaian system is a mystery." Smov is a smaller, asteroid-like moon while Prolla is about 1.5 times Smov's size, about half as large as Ike. The two moons dominate the outer regions of Duna's sphere of influence, but how the two moons got there in the first place is a mystery. Dres-1 and Dres-2, the moons that orbit Dres (who would've guessed?) D-1 and D-2 are two little rocky moons orbiting Dres with the same inclination. D-1 is an icy asteroid, a remnant of the solar system's birth. D-2 is also an asteroid, but is more metallic in composition. Klan, moon of Jool Klan is, without even a shadow of a doubt, the most bizarre moon ever discovered by the Kerbal Astronimcal Society. Nobody truly knows what is going on down there, on its strange and ravaged surface. Be wary, Kerbals. Froth, moon of Eeloo "Froth is a magnificent little ball of ice in orbit around Eeloo. Eons ago a few annoying little asteroids slammed into the icy surface, exposing the moon's inner layers. The debris from this event formed Froth's iconic rings of ice particles. Taking a shard from the rings of Froth is said to bring luck." A moon that closely resembles the planet it orbits save for the fact that this moon has a set of beautiful rings. The jealous Eeloo has attempted to steal these rings several times, but the rings are in a stable orbit around Froth and are unlikely to leave anytime soon. 3. You need Kopernicus (for 1.12 or later) for this mod to work. -Not sure why, but many images on this page aren't loading anymore. I'll try to resolve this when time permits. Recent Changelog - 5 September 2022 Hi everyone, I know development on this mod has been (extremely) slow due to much of my time being spent on college, but I recently got accepted for a full-time job, which will demand most of my time. As such, I'll be suspending any attempts at regular development for the foreseeable future. I will continue to attempt to solve game-breaking issues that anyone is having, but any new features/terrain improvements will likely never come, unless I can find any motivation to work on this thing again. I'll be honest, whenever I try to work on this mod (and mainly its terrain maps), it becomes very easy to lose motivation to continue. I started this project almost 5 years ago, and it was definitely fun and exciting to work on for a little while, crafting my own star system. I'm sorry if this is disappointing news, but I never wanted this to happen either. Thanks for reading, and I hope to maybe return to this in some capacity someday... Known issues -Solace terrain appears dark on some graphics settings. To Do -Fix gas giant atmosphere pressure curves and appearances -Fix seriously bad-looking terrain on some bodies -Make proper scatterer configs -Add hidden planets Download GitHub release page To install, extract the downloaded file and drag the WPlanetPack folder into your GameData folder. Screenshots and Bodies Myna, the new Mun. Very green. Klip, much larger and heavier than Minmus. Filled with hills and some sharp ridges. Grasse, a heavy rock close to Eve's old orbit. It doesn't look pleasant from space, but it makes for a great drive. Bedu, a gas dwarf close to Moho's orbit. It harbors two small moons, neither of which have atmospheres. Kase, one of them, can be seen here. Cinder, a moon made of popcorn. Confirmation needed. Argent, a planet so close to the sun that its surface has been blasted away. Touch up in progress. Aeris and its moon Sedra. I plan on reworking Aeris's terrain soon, but I think I'll keep the color scheme. Byte, a barren desert world with lots of craters. Bit, Moon of Byte. 1/8 the size, too. Vita and one of its moons, Ola (serious work needed on terrain at the moment) Joule, the new Jool (needs polar distortions still). Ohm, a large moon with a thin atmosphere. It has high peaks for its size, and a lot of islands. Amp, a very large rocky moon without an atmosphere. Rework is mostly complete, just messing with colors and a few areas of terrain. Spark, a spherical asteroid only a few km across. I'd remake it, but the surface is too fun. Volt, a large desert moon. The atmosphere isn't as thick as it looks, I'll fix it eventually. Ira, a small, dense ice moon. It has a thin-ish atmosphere, but planes shouldn't be too hard to land here if they're light enough. No oxygen. Elias, the current replacement for Eeloo. It will be moved out much farther than its current position. Any thoughts/criticism? Please share it with me, I need every bit I can get. Please don't redistribute this mod as your own. If you want to make any modifications to it and rerelease it, contact me first.
  4. Greetings everyone! It's been quite a long time since I was last actively part of this community and game. For those that remember me, I was once one of the Community Managers alongside CaptSkunky way back in the day. A lot of things have changed in my life, including the fact I go by Ciara now (and can't seem to update my display name on the forums) but after a very long time away I'm back! Not only am I back, but I've been inspired by StarCrusher's Galaxies Unbound Project to attempt not only learning how to mod, but undertaking a massive planet mod pack. I'd like to share this journey with you including my workflow, concepts, and successes and failures. So, please come along for the ride and maybe in the next few months I'll have something I can be proud of contributing to the community along with all these amazing and talented authors. Workflow Concept Artist Controlled Procedural Content Generation The concept of Artist Controlled PCG is one that exists in multiple mainline space projects of note. The primary concept is that an artist will use a tool to procedrually generate a planet or terrain and then utalize the output of that tool as a "Canvas" to work off of using said Canvas as a foundation to contorl the following, Atmospheric Color Points of Interest Specific Terrain Features Scatter and Ground Clutter Control Color Palette Main Goals and Features * Utalize a Procedural Star System Generation System to use as a staging point to launch pad off from. * Utalize a Procedural and Fractal Based Terrain Generation Method to make truly unique planets generating 8bit greyscale height maps procedrually * Take Real world Orbital Data and Information Generated by the tools in order to create the proper scaled versions in a Kerbol Stock-a-like manner. Test Map - Low Quality / Low Reolution Step 1 - Procedurally Generated Height Map Step 2 - Lightness (HSL) Color Desaturation Step 3 - Color Inversion Step 4 - Color Correction Obvioulsy this height map wont work, it's just a test of the process that I'm going to attempt to see if I can quickly (a few days or so) generate a height map, normal map, and color map, and with the tools I have work on tweaking the outputs to create unique worlds that are procedurally generated but the final outcome is artist controlled. I'll be running some tests tonight and tommorrow and I hope to have test worlds in game to showcase then. See ya soon! -Ciara (Formerly DR) Quick Color Map Test (The Color isn't final but I wanted to see how it would look.) Tool Used: Wilbur + GIMP Procedures Used: Percentage Noise & 1st Pass Erosion Test (Yes I know the edges are way to sharp, just testing and learning tools.)
  5. Hello everyone! I know that the planet / moon roster for initial game release is probably already set in stone, but there is a lot of room for future expansion in the KSP universe. So I'm going to make a compilation / list of (mostly crazy and probably not possible IRL) planet / moon physics ideas. Any feedback and extra ideas are more than welcome! - binary system with a common atmospheric bridge (maybe generated by gasses from vulcanism like on Rask & Rusk) - that could maybe allow armospheric flight from one planet to another - planets with a lot of vulcanism without / with normal / very thick atmosphere (there are very big differences related to vulcanic explosions behavior) - solid clouds you can land on (like in Interstellar) - maybe above a gas giant, porous ice clouds - water world with huge tsunamis (like in Interstellar) - foam world (water world with oceans that have a thick layer of foam above, with only mountain peaks clear for landing) - classic half hellscape / half frozen planet (planet tidally locked to star, one half in perpetual darkness) - planet like Crematoria in Chronicles of Riddick, with extreme moving heat wave during daytime - planet with a lot of tornadoes and localized storms - rainy planet (serene or with howling winds) - spiky planet (like carbon spikes) with very few places to land on - furry shores planet with aluminum lands and mercury seas (check the chemical reaction https://youtu.be/IrdYueB9pY4 ) - Dune - planet with a lot of sinkholes and lava tubes - planet with dust streaming off of it - radiation and winds from the nearby star would blow off material from its circumference, there would be liniar winds - rogue planets - Europa / Enceladus like moons or planets, with very deep oceans under the ice, geothermal vents - very, very old planet - planets with unstable, varied orbits (like in three body problem) - swamp / mist world - merged double planet (with 8 shape) - metalic planet / moon - some kind of disk world - matte black planet (dark like charcoal) - egg shaped (gravitational pull) - planet surrounded by orbiting liquid bubbles that periodically fall back down - very cold planet with levitating quantum locked metal islands - planet or moon cracked / split in half (Doom vibes) - ice VII / X body - bromic acid seas, Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction (video) - phosphorescence / triboluminescence - Mercury (II) thiocyanate / calcium gluconate (video) - ferrofluid lakes / volcanoes - climate / seasons! - very tight and fast orbit around a red dwarf - a pulsar with high radiation levels and you can see it's beams even when landed on a planet (like in Galaxies Unbound) - black hole with orbiting system - planet with two perpendicular orbiting debris disks, at different altitudes - giant impact crater or crack / trench / canyon which contains all the planet's atmosphere (like atmospheric density differences on Duna) - a desert where we can take our rovers and do high dune jumps like at Baja - 10+ km cliffs like Verona Rupes on Miranda (Uranus moon) so we can jump off it - celestial body with giant atmospheric or liquid vortex (let's say you could fly inside it and touch the bottom of the ocean) - N-ary star system - planet with a quartz crystal (of any type or even mixed for colourfulness) surface (Z.O.M.G) - planets with different oxides for different colours: copper oxide soil for a blue surface, bismuth oxide for yellow, chrome oxide for green etc. (Z.O.M.G) - brown dwarf (Z.O.M.G) I will add more...
  6. I am making a mod right now and I have encountered some bugs that I cant seem to solve. This gas planet is having lighting issues Planet texture bugging out bad
  7. Akin to SpaceEngine, KSP2 procedurally generating star systems? (If the comment made on KSP Episode 5: Interstellar Travel is true, this seems the most physically plausible) Thoughts?
  8. I would like to find some planet mods that add new stars and planets, not replace the stock system. I already have OPM and GEP. Is there anything else?
  9. Same as the last video, we have a hidden something at the end of the video. Last time it was a Arecibo-style message, what do we have now?
  10. Some of the KSP Show and Tell videos appear to be taken in a deep, sand-colored valley of some sort. Is this environment just a test scene, or is it located on an in-game planet or moon? The amount of terrain detail and the inclusion of a sun / atmosphere seems to indicate that this place is a real location in-game. If not Kerbin or Laythe, where could this be?
  11. Dres clearly doesn't exist. Between Duna and Jool, there is a big ring of absolutely nothing. If you could, what would you replace the so-called "Dres" with?
  12. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello there! This Mod aims to add a stockalike Saturn analogue to the Kerbol System along with some moons. Saru is located between Jool and Dres at the moment, if anyone has a better idea of a placement let me know. If anyone has suggestions for new moon ideas or minor changes let me know. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: I am mainly making this mod for fun and because I want these types of planets in my save. I am a complete noob when it comes to planet modding so it may be a while until I am able to get a stable version available for release. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Current Planets/Moons: Saru Plez Durgen Hypo
  13. What it does Re-textures Jool to give it a Great Green Spot. Adds four distinct biomes to Jool, with their own distinct science definitions. The biomes roughly follow the patterns of Jool's cloud bands, and are: Equatorial Cloud Belt Temperate Cloud Belt Polar Cloud Belt Great Green Spot Note that you still can't land on Jool (it's a gas giant!), so the biomes are only useful for space and atmospheric science. Download from SpaceDock License: MIT Note: Requires Kopernicus (install separately; not included with this mod). How to install Make sure you've installed Kopernicus. Unzip into GameData, same as with any other mod.
  14. Time to introduce announce a new Kopernicus mod, one that changes everything: Total Rebuild! This is where we'll post updates on development as well as screenshots, ideas, that sort of thing. Expect a true page makeover for release. Current completion: 90% So what is 'Total Rebuild' exactly? True to it's name, it destroyes every stock KSP body save for Kerbin and the Sun, before adding a completely new planetary system, counting more bodies than the stock system, with currently 23 planets & moons on the planner versus stock KSP's 16 planets & moons, with possible planetary expansions in the future. What can I expect from it? Expect to find a new solar system to explore, with vast, diverse and unique worlds. It'll come with custom Scatterer and EVE configurations, as well as new, HD surface textures and nice ScaledVersion resolutions. Ergo: quality overload. Too demanding for your computer? Don't worry, we got you covered! The default package should be more than enough for your computer to handle, if it can take stock KSP it can take this mod as well. If your PC can already run KSP at max res plus stuff like EVE and Scatterer, then go ahead and install the quality upgrades provided with the mod! You can never have too much eyecandy. Any sweet pictures to show, TWG? Feast your eyes, Kerbals! Here's what we have so far! With the new EVE clouds: So who's in charge of this? Total Rebuild is being created by @The White Guardian and co-written by @Agent-Daniel_46 (winner of KCM3) What can I do? Any feedback (and ideas) is much, much appreciated! Download link
  15. Hello there, I was wondering if it would be possible to implement cubemap support for planets into an update at some point. I really would love to see this, since the DDS format (a texture format used by most if not all unity games) has a max resolution of just 16k. This works fine if your planets are kerbin sized, but when you have bigger planets it can look somewhat stretched. With cubemaps in theory you could have textures up to 64k in resolution in addition to having no stretching at the poles. this would allow for much greater quality and clarity in the textures of larger planets. Thanks so much for your time. Here's an example of what I mean. For anyone who may not know, cubemaps allow for this kind of clarity. but currently this is done by a mod called RVE64K for RSS using a workaround, so it doesn't load properly when not in orbit or in the map view.
  16. I've had enough of working in the dark. For those of you who might have seen me on the KSP and KerbalAcademy subreddit, I am the one guy there that loves SSTO's and spaceplanes. I have gotten tired of asking there because I might be seen as some idiot (which I might not be). I have begun to focus my attention to making planets of my own using Kopernicus and KittopiaTech. I tried to make planets based on the basic tutorials made by TheWhiteGuardian to no avail, as my planets either take KSP forever to load, don't load in general, or load up but look like smooth black or blue spheres. Because of this, I have resorted to asking the KSP forums this question: Can anyone give me a crash course on everything about Kopernicus and how to make a good planet with it? I want to know which parser and which line of code does which, such as the PQSMods or the Ocean and Atmosphere parsers. I want to know what each and every line does in a Kopernicus config. I want to know how to make good colour, height, normal and biome maps that function correctly when the planet is loaded. I want to learn how to give a terrestrial planet *stock* clouds like Beyond Home's gas giant Gateway and how to make functioning binary planets like in Other Worlds Reboot's Prima and Secunda system. I want to know how to create a good planet with Kopernicus (and maybe even KittopiaTech). Thank you to anyone who is reading this forum post as I want to create working planets (that I might release as a planet pack if it looks good enough). All the help that I can get is greatly appreciated! -CrackersAndChips, rookie Kopernicus user

  19. ^Model is not actually 8-bit After lots of research, lots more math, and lots more tinkering, I am proud to present this 3D model (version 2.0!) of the KSP solar system. This tool provides accurate visualization and measurement of KSP’s celestial bodies with respect to one another using GeoGebra, a free and open-source graphing software. Sure, it’s pretty to look at, but its real strength is that you, the user, can use it to model and/or measure just about anything in-game. All planets and moons are represented accurately in terms of scale, eccentricity, orientation, inclination... all of it. The base state of the model has all bodies located where they would be in-game at UT=0, and can be run forward from there to 1000 in-game years (and beyond if you really need). Scale is in megameters (1Mm = 1,000km = 1,000,000m). ^Applet screenshot All stock planets and moons are represented accurately on their orbits. Semimajor axis, eccentricity, inclination, longitude of ascending node, argument of periapsis, orbital period, phase angle, body size (including atmosphere), and sphere of influence are all modeled. All bodies start exactly where they would at the beginning of a game (UT=0), and can be run forward from there to 500 in-game years (and beyond if you really need). Scale is in megameters (1Mm = 1,000km = 1,000,000m). Some of the data have been extracted directly from KSP (v1.2). Everything else is calculated within the model using that raw data. See below for the code used for the extraction. To use: To use the base tool (a version that is not easily modified or customized), follow this link to view and use it in the GeoGebra web app. You can get the customizable version at this link. It is strongly recommended that users download and install GeoGebra to their computer, as it’s faster and more stable. You can download the source file for the model by navigating to the appropriate link above and clicking in the top right corner of the applet. Full Instructions on using/customizing the model are available at the wiki. This project was very much an adventure for me, so I would not be surprised if there are (still) things I've missed, inaccuracies, etc. Please don't hesitate to bring them to my attention, along with suggestions for how to fix them, if available. I'm also open to ideas about additional features. Licensing: Because I've published the model on geogebra.org, it is subject to the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-SA 3.0) license. Keep in mind that Geogebra is something altogether different. I have had no part in developing it, and it is subject to its own licensing, terms, and conditions. Updates: 05/20/2017: Major update with updated/streamlined calculations, fixed mathematical errors, improved accuracy (thanks to a script for the direct extraction of data from the game), new basic/customizable versions, and a wiki! 04/08/2017: Addressed crowding of AN/DNs & Pe/Aps by replacing the checkbox for each with a drop-down menu, allowing users finer control over what is shown/hidden. Added hide-able stats pane for body in focus, displaying orbital/physical parameters and time to AN and Pe. Changed auto-zoom levels to depend on body in focus. Original 2D model updated/converted to 3D. Known Issues: Body in "Focus View" drop-down often needs to be selected twice in order to display the target body at intended zoom level. Suggestions welcome. When focusing view, viewVector should orient camera to particular angle. It does not. Commented out for now. Discrepancy between JS syntax accepted by the web app and desktop versions causing error in customizable version's web app at launch. Not sure of reason, no "proper fix" at this time. Works fine in desktop version. Simple workaround is here. ^Joolian system
  20. Note: If you had the original InterKalactic mod, this is separate and NOT compatible. This is a separate planet pack entirely, the original has been discontinued. For now, at least. InterKalactic 2 is a remake of InterKalactic; many of the bodies from the original pack are used, but now, there's some story and uniqueness behind InterKalactic 2. IK2 is based off of the premise that Kerbol is expanding into a red giant, and expanding your sights to the stars and planets beyond. I'm aware that in real life these events would take billions of years, but for the sake of this planet pack, we're pretending that these events all happen within a much shorter time frame. InterKalactic 2 has two 'dependencies': Kopernicus and Kerbol++. Kopernicus allows for planets to be modified in KSP, and Kerbol++ is my other planet mod which implements several semi-realism and challenge-based tweaks to planets that are inherited by this pack. Kerbol++ will modify the bodies of every planet except for Kerbol, Ike, Gilly and Eve accordingly. If you want to support this mod or my other projects, you can donate at the following bitcoin address: 15nhma9mEYqhBE5hyCHa4bGUyrAfnaUrxd or PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/clockwork13 You are also welcome to provide your own planet textures if you would like. The bodies in this modpack are currently mostly divided into 2 distinct regions: Kerbol and the InterKalactic Plain, as I have unofficially dubbed it. Kerbol consists of the Kerbol System, with only minor changes by InterKalactic, including an analogy for Planet 9. The InterKalactic Plain currently only consists of one incomplete star system: Sol. It also includes the black hole known as Hawking's Singularity. In between the IKP and Kerbol is another WIP star system, Aartee. While the rest of the Kerbol System remains fairly accessible, the IKP is a tremendously far distance away, and you'll need to be going very fast to reach it. However, once you do, the rest of the InterKalactic star systems become much more within reach, as they will all be much closer to eachother from this point onwards. While IK2 is optimized for KSP 1.3.1, I don't expect it to have any problems running on more recent versions of KSP. Latest Update (0.2): Multiplied Gilly's surface gravity by 10, to account for it's reduced SOI and to make landing a bit less of a headache (now it's 0.05g) Added a black hole named Hawking's Singularity to the InterKalactic Plain, in remembrance of Stephen Hawking. Known Issues: None currently Download on SpaceDock: https://spacedock.info/mod/1750/InterKalactic 2 Download K++ on SpaceDock: https://spacedock.info/mod/1732/Kerbol++ or visit its main thread: You can view the thread of the original InterKalactic here (note that it is not compatible with IK2 or K++): SCREENSHOTS: Sunset on Kerbin Gas planet size comparison; The big one is Korbur (Kerbal's name for Jupiter), the purple one is Korvin, and the green one is Jool Moho on the horizon All 3 of the currently implemented stars from a distance (from right to left: Sol, Kerbol, Aartee) Below, you will find a summary of how the planets have changed. (Changes from Kerbol++ are listed too) Kerbol (The Sun) Kerbol is now many times larger and brighter than before. In addition, it has acquired a reddish hue. Moho Moho is slowly being pulled into the Sun, and as such, it is tidally locked and orbits extremely quickly around the Sun. Moho now possesses Gilly as its moon. If you choose to visit this duo, don't forget radiators. Gilly After being flung through the Kerbol system, Gilly has found home orbiting close Moho. Eve Eve's orbit has been notably elongated. While still not too far from Kerbin, bring some extra fuel if you're going to Eve. Currently, Eve is technically moonless. VoronoiCraters A series of 4 temporary moons orbiting Eve. These are just temporary for testing purposes and will be removed later, so please don't settle them. Kerbin Kerbin has been more or less spared by Kerbol. While Kerbin has been saved from the worst of it, the planet still may experience occasional temperature swings as a result of its increasingly eccentric orbit which wreak havoc on the environment. Kerbin's orbit has slowly been spiraling out, and so it's relatively farther from Kerbol than it would have been otherwise. Mun The Mun orbits extra far from Kerbin now. Minmus The orbit of Minmus is now highly irregular, taking it both closer and farther from Kerbin than previously. Duna Duna has been pushed outwards from the Sun like Kerbin. The Dunian system remains mostly unaffected by the expanding sun otherwise, but has gained a brand new moon, mysteriously. Oogaloo This funnily named moon orbits in between Duna and Ike. It is rather small, just slightly bigger than Gilly. Ike Ike remains unchanged in this pack. Dres Dres has been pushed out a bit as well, but otherwise remains unchanged Jool Vall is now Jool's closest moon, followed by the other bodies in their previous orders. Jool also has a nice set of rings and is much, much bigger. Vall The shephard moon of Jool's rings. Laythe The second closest moon to Jool. Volcanically hyperactive and covered mostly with an ocean. Pol Pol is a distant, irregular moon of Jool. Bop Bop is also a distant, irregular moon of Jool. Eeloo Eeloo remains unchanged by this pack, besides for orbiting much farther from Kerbol. Korvin The elusive, recently discovered 'Planet 9'. Reaching this one is tricky as it has a fairly elliptical and distant orbit. It was discovered after Kerbal scientists studied anomalies found in the orbits of Eeloo and various asteroids. Korvin's two moons are Oceania and Kyel. Oceania This water world has no surface at all, and is heated up by its close proximity orbiting Korvin. Oceania has a fairly thick atmosphere notably similar to that of Kerbin. Kyel A relatively flat and cratered desert orbiting Korvin. Would be great for base building. Kyel has a thin, grey atmosphere. Aartee A high energy star distant from everything else. This is what lies between Kerbol and the InterKalactic Plain. Currently does not host any planets, but is great for solar energy. Sol A welcoming, yellow star, currently the only star in the InterKalactic Plain. Myecl A grey chunk of rock orbiting closest to Sol. Hosts no moons and has little value in colonization, besides for a relative abundance of ore. Alternis A red, ringed desert world orbiting Sol. Currently hosts no moons. A weak potential biological signature has been detected here. Korbur A massive gas giant orbiting farthest from Sol. Hosts just 4 known moons. Ie Korbur's nearest moon. It is very yellow and volcanically active. Contrary to popular belief, it is NOT made out of ice cream. Cryo Cryo consists of a large ocean, but locked under a massive global sheet of ice that is kilometers thick. Klaspen The third moon of Korbur. Heavily cratered. Kallisto Sometimes confused with Klaspen, Kallisto is also dark colored and heavily cratered Hawking's Singularity A black hole in remembrance of Stephen Hawking. Currently has no bodies orbiting it.
  21. My name is cyrus playz and I have made a few mods in the past but.........bla bla bla you know the drill, but this is special, this is a collaboration between me and ILoveStars. This is a kopernicus mod that adds a few new star systems. Now this is NOT yet ready for release, far from it.This topic is more for help with the mod, especially visual mods.So any help will be more than welcome. And anyone wanting to review this mods should come back later. Anyways here's the mod download if anyone can help. https://spacedock.info/mod/2414/CAISE Know problems: License:MIT
  22. Hey everyone, So I'm relatively new to the KSP world on PC. I played hundreds of hours on my xbox one x. I'm now on my Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop with a 1050 NVidia setup and I'm having some issues with the game that I can't find concise answers too. First off without any planetary graphics mods, I have an ocean that does not render. Its there when I land, but all I see is the textured blue ocean floor. I ended up removing EVE and Realistic Atmosphere as well as my AVP mod and Sunflares becuase on top of my ocean issue, regardless of a beautiful rendering of planet kerbin on the pregame menu, once I started playing the atmosphere went black and the planet from map mode turned into this grayed out dark orange and black rendering that got so annoying. I haven't noticed the gameplay affected much but I cannot seem to figure out how to make this planet have its reliable and consistent graphics that everyone else seems to have. Anyone experience this? I'm running out of ideas without individually inspecting the game with every mod one by one...

Preview of EVOLUTION Download EVOLUTION Special Thanks @SQUAD for Kerbal Space Program @Thomas P. for maintaining Kopernicus, the building block of all planet packs out there @Galileo for inspiring me, giving me advice and helping me out @Waz for maintaining Environmental Visual Enhancements, a mod that truly lives up to it's name @blackrack for Scatterer's amazing shaders and Kopernicus' epic new ring shaders @CaptRobau for inspiring me to get into the planet modding business, and for OPM, from which I have learned the basics of Kopernicus myself back in the day @Sigma88, @KillAshley and @Thomas P. for having the patience to help me out every time @OhioBob for explaining to me the wonderful (and complicated) subject that is atmospheres @linuxgurugamer for LoadingScreenManager, a mod that allows even the loading screen to be given a unique touch. @HaArLiNsH for TextureReplacerReplaced, because you'd be surprised how much a custom skybox can do.
  24. Hello Kerbonauts. I see you have found your way here. Welcome to NTSP2, or Noah the Smol's Planet Pack. This is a heavily indev pack adding 3 planets, 1 dwarf planet, and 9 moons. It currently only uses Kopernicus and KittopiaTech for the mod, but compatibilities and actual test builds will come soon. The NTSPP first draft is now out, including only Daki. Test it out and give me some feedback! Object list is here: All scale is measured in this way: Mini: 0.01> Nano: 0.01-0.1 Micro: 0.1-0.5 No Prefix: 0.5-1.5 Super: 1.5-5.0 Mega: 5.0-10.0 Ultra: 10.0-30.0 Hyper: 30.0< Noah The Smol’s Planet Pack Planets centered around Kerbol. Kerbol Moho Daki- new moon for Moho. Very dull brown, a Micro-Mun. Eve Kerbin Ettren- new ice giant between Kerbin and Duna. Technically an Ultra-Kerbin. Deep red near poles fades to more orange and tan near equator. Eynen- Super-Gilly, pale pink, orbits quite close to Ettren to the point where halving its orbit would place it within the Roche limit. Yurref- Munlike, about three times Eynen’s distance. Very slight pale teal with a very thin set of rings close to the surface. Werron- Super-Mun, 4/3x Yurref’s orbit, pale red with lots of very prominent, small craters. Looks almost like red cheese. Duna Dres Tirnitt- Haumealike object, Dreslike in size, darker purple near equator than near poles, no rings, one moon. Rennios- Gillylike, very deep cobalt blue, from the actual cobalt on its surface. Jool Teddest- Super-Jool, mild blues and greens colour range. Thin rings. Griessk- Minmuslike, mild purple. Ilnur- Micro-Mun, deep yellow and red from major sulfur stains due to volcanoes Uljinn- Dunalike, except it’s a pale green due to strange surface chemicals. Covered with shallow, yellow craters Eeloo Yttrel- Hyper-Kerbin, though technically a gas giant. It is a pale purple with a small blue polar storm. Enmir- Yttrel’s only moon, it is a Nano-Mun covered in shallow craters, overall a very dull blue.
