  1. Growing up is different that maturing. I can still see the silly antics happening. They will just look better doing them.
  2. I'm sure they have something to compensate the family of the Kerbals lost/missing during a mission. Agreed, they don't have any OHS stuff. I've seen some pretty sketchy actions from them.
  3. Common occurrence in KSP. Nothing new there.
  4. You know, some of those "?" would be good places for Intercept to add cites at a later date. But all of them having something special to them, no, too much work. I mean that you are populating an entire planet. Also some of the places you marked already have good special views. With the updated scatter and environmental effects, those places would look absolutely stunning.
  5. You want perfection, but perfection doesn't exist in gaming. The best you're going to get is good enough. You'll have to learn that. The perfect game, piece of art or music will never be released because it will never be finished. It will have to be good enough to release it. (That's the reason why Tool has released so few albums compared to other bands of the same age.) I've already taken the position of "adding some salt or sugar" to the media that Intercept releases. I know what they are showing may be better or worse after they release. What you're doing is setting yourself up for disappointment. @mcwaffles2003 look up "altocumulus" clouds. I've flown above altocumulus as they are forming. They did look very similar to that. The only problem with the image Intercept shared is that type of cloud formation should be over an area of tens of miles, not a few miles. But as you wish...
  6. It actually took me awhile to notice that. That plane would have to be really twitchy on the roll axis.
  7. Are you claiming the whole "idle hands" saying is true? No... never.
  8. I just find this whole cloud discussion amusing and annoying at the same time. The clouds seen so far are actually very passable for real life. I'm not lucky enough to fly when it's a perfect, sunny day. Whenever I fly, it's either partly cloudy, to full overcast, to rain/snow showers. (Free roller coaster rides anyone.) With both low and high level clouds. There's really nothing that has been shown recently that screams "this doesn't look right." I'm sorry, but this obsession with the clouds and how they look is getting really stupid. Go fly somewhere and look out the windows at some clouds. You'll notice that what KSP2 has shown so far is very similar to what you will see in real life. PS. I'm not a pilot or a professional/business traveler. I just end up flying every couple years for vacation or work.
  9. I get that what Cities Skylines is currently using is slow and sucks at sorting, but it's an example of functionality I would like to see. I'm not telling Intercept to use Colossal Order/Paradox's code for it. I'm saying this has functionality I would like to see. You keep harping on the negatives of the implementation, but not seeing the positives the format can have.
  10. Did you happen to miss this dev diary? They specifically call out the reliant and vector engines. They tell you their new roles and hint at any changes made to them.
  11. Yes, I'm talking about the same integrated mod/asset manager in Cities Skylines. It has it's drawbacks, but it's perfect for what it does. Allows you to add a pack of assets and then individually select what assets you want in your city from that pack. It also allows you to setup actual mods before you even start the game. (Helpful if you already know what settings you want to use.) Plus you can side load mods if you like, you just add them to appropriate folder. If formatted correctly, the mod and asset manager will pick them up. (Mods don't require a steam workshop ID to work.) (The save breaking mod updates? Rarely happens. Only mods that mess with the map setting will break the save completely. (81 tiles) The other times was malicious code interduced by the mod maker or maintainer. (NetEx2)) What's better; manually going through a mod, opening each cfg to get the name of the mu, and opening the mu to get the name(s) of the textures, and then adding or removing them and hoping you don't screw it up, or selecting a button for each asset you want or don't want from a mod(asset) pack. For a true mod, selecting the options you want before you start the game or after? (Different features of Kerbalism or MJ come to mind.)
  12. Why wouldn't you want an internal mod manager? I play Cities Skylines and the integrated mod manager is a God send. You add a mod pack, in game you enable or disable the mod pack or individual assets within the mod pack. No messing around with files. No trying to figure out the actual file names to delete. No extra stuff you don't want in your game. And a very easy way to remove the mod or assets, without exiting the game. There are mods for KSP I don't use anymore because I only want certain parts from them, but don't want to mess around with finding and removing files I don't want in my game. I would spend more time trying to get certain assets into KSP than actually playing KSP at times. This pain can be avoided if there was an integrated mod manager.
  13. Very true. Even bad graphics can look good if done right. Take Valheim for example, it has some of the worse pixelated textures you will ever see in a modern game. But the lighting and environmental effects are superb and will make you forget about the ugly textures.
  14. Don't know why, but I'm really impressed with this layout for a delivery system. No need for disposable fairings any more? Ooo... I'm excited for that prospect.
  15. Could be something to be added in the future. I can see it being a fun feature for multiplayer. ("Oh god, what does playerX always have classical music on his colonies.")
  16. Very heavy launch vehicles are actually very easy in stock KSP. Using the mainsail, skipper, vector, rhino and stock tanks I've been able to get 300 tonnes into LKO. (Practically speaking, there's no need to put something that heavy into orbit in one launch with stock KSP. But never stopped us from trying and doing.)
  17. I doubt they would show a whole tutorial, but it's a possibility. I'm thinking they may be showing clips for new tutorials getting into specific subjects like Oberth effect, gravity assists, craft design, etc.
  18. I find it funny that everyone is complaining and worrying about the littlest details about the screen shots that Intercept is posting. It's akin to saying a cupcake without the sprinkles is horrible and the one with sprinkles is much better. They are both cupcakes and bound to be good. But you haven't gotten the cupcakes yet, so you don't know for sure. So, waiting until you can actually get and taste the cupcakes, you would know if the one with sprinkles is better or not. Or they can both be just as good. Yeah... I have no idea where I'm going with this. Basically, what I'm saying is; wait until the game is released and then pick it apart. Until then, you just don't know what Intercept is planning on serving up. Mmm... cupcakes... I guess I should make something to eat now. Enjoy the cupcakes in the spoiler.
  19. Various tracks from the following soundtracks: Surviving Mars, Aven Colony, Mass Effect (1-3), Interstellar, BSG, Halo, Deus Ex:HR, Titanfall.
  20. Just watched the linked vods, I'm really impressed with this. Everyone is calling out the bad with this, but I would take this KSC over the one in KSP1. Granted, this looks to be a test scene for the clouds, so I'm not expecting perfection. But I loved how the clouds are rolling along fading in and out. What really impressed me is the fact the clouds are casting shadows on both the terrain and buildings. The only thing I can't tell is if the clouds are occluding the stars being reflected at night from the water. Once they get the lighting dialed in and the scatter effects hooked in, this will be a really pretty game.
  21. Then in your dream like state. You find yourself doing some God awful work you don't remember doing before. As you try to wake up or stop, nothing happens, you continue doing that job. You continue in this state until some industrial accident, act of violence, or your flesh deteriorates enough for you to be decommissioned and recycled. Welcome to the "life" of a servator. "Even in death, you will still serve the Emperor."
  22. I don't know how much you know about the 40K universe, but it's a lot worse for the general citizenry than you would believe. There's too much to explain with how horrible the 40K universe actually is. Just watch: https://youtube.com/@Luetin09 He goes into good detail about the 40K universe.
