  1. Here is my idea: Basically, you have a really big spherical planet and only a small section of it is Kerbin to give the impression that its flat
  2. You sure about that? I think the OP in just asking for finer detail in the drawing of the orbit lines without any change in the mechanics
  3. I mean to switch to the views of different launch sites from the KSC screen so you can look at thr desert airfield or something
  4. Or a "switch launch sites" button like the "switch VAB/SPH" button in the editor
  5. I also had a similar idea but couldn't really find the right words to describe it. So what if instead of scoring we have world first achievements and leaderboads and whatnot, but they also show when they were achieved in game time. I also had an idea of making vessles public so they can be seen by other players and perhaps transfer ownership to, though they would have the same restrictions as timewarp. Outside of that, timewarp and whatnot shouldnt be an issue since vessels are in rails. From there things like launch services and player-made contracts as well as refueling stations owned by other players though compromises will have to be made like using teleport fuel transfer.
  6. You are very correct in that it is much easier said then done. Basically how water works in KSP is that there is a uniform sphere of water around a planet. So, all water is at the same altitude like you noticed. Doing what you requested would take a rewrite of the planet system. KSP2 anyone?
  7. I was looking forward to trying this but I can't load it for some reason - It gives me the "Kopernicus has encountered an exception while loading... blah blah" window after load. Error Log: https://pastebin.com/UhZg5ZFi File Tree: https://imgur.com/a/Qp0XWwQ
  8. Considering that the BDArmory laser is already in KSPI, what if there was BDA support for the lasers so we can use them ss weapons? Also I noticed that parts from the Space Opera mod are in KSPI as Arcjets, which really doesn't fit the more modern style of the other parts compared to the RCS'es Warhammer 40k-esque look. Plz fix?
  9. I am new to modding KSP and have looked through the beginner's guide. But I couldn't find how to display on-screen text like this: https://imgur.com/a/mRLXK1 How do I do this?
  10. Does anyone have a map showing the locations of the groundstations scattered across Kerbin??
  11. make asteroids spawn around Jool to simulate the countless small moons it has.
  12. I would still like to see teathers in a mod or something because why not
  13. I think the most compelling reason for KSP2 is so Squad/T2 can use a new engine. Unigine would actually be perfect for a game like KSP, being able to simulate at very large scales. Graphics, physics (N-body), and gameplay overhauls would become an option, including multiplayer. And with multiplayer... 14. My (older) brother believes that mods (from all games) and free or indie software in general will cause harmful things to happen to the computer. Him (and the rest of my family) believes this because he claims that he gets ad popups and his performance is negatively impacted after I download them on the computer. And recently, the OS (Windows 10) broke after I used a modded KSP save on the computer, along with OBS and a PS4 controller driver (DS4Windows). I of course, have never experienced this. The main suspects are, just for complete info, are -All KSP mods -All Minecraft mods (Tekkit/ATLauncher modpacks in particular) -Roblox(yes I know, I actually don't play it anymore but its relevent) Brother's computer specs -CyberPower custom-built -Windows 10 Home(?) -8GB RAM -i5 4690k Overclocked 3.5 Ghz -R9 200 3GB My computer Specs -HP Pavillion dv8 -Windows 7 Home/Ubuntu 14.04 Dual Boot -4GB RAM -i5 3rd gen (?) Duo Core 2.5Ghz -Radeon 6700M 1GB I believe we both use the same antivirus. Of course, as a community, we trust in our modders and mods right? So, how do I convince my brother that mods are a safe and enjoyable part of KSP and gaming in general?
  15. But when modded parts account for a tiny fraction of mass, volume, potentially part count, and is not needes to fly the vessel, they shouldn't need mods to get the craft. I enjoy mod as much as the next guy, though my poor 4GB of ram means I am limited in my options soI often play mostly stock.
  16. The problem is that its a pain to try to take off the tiny modded parts, especially when I often tuck it away in cargo bays.
  17. Hello, director of 0something0's space program here. So, we've noticed that when trying to license our craft to other space programs , often times the program that is receiving the blueprints are unable to make them because part contracts of the more specialized and elusive manufacturers are non-transferable, so if they don't have the licenses as me, they can't make the craft that I am licensing them to. I understand the situation when it comes to parts from organizations like Tetragon Projects or BahamutoD's Arms Corporation, but I've noticed many software companies such as Mechjeb, KOS, Burn Together, etc have been using their own proprietary computer architecture on their own proprietary hardware. I will acknowledge that a lot of the companies are fairly liberal about their code, but the fact that we have to use proprietary parts that can't be shared with other players and the fact that we have to manually remove every part is irritating our engineers and our lawyers. So, I say we establish a common computer architecture based on some of the most commonly available systems that nearly every space program has access to. (In normal people language) So, its a pain to share .craft files when you have a thousand tiny computer parts for utility purposes from mods like Mechjeb, KOS, Burn Together, etc. So, we as a modding community should make it so all of the software are contained within probe cores so the probe cores act as computers that we can load software from mods on.
  18. You could take a pic of the cursor and edit out the non-cursor in GIMP/Photoshop
