  1. My grand tour had a part count of about 250 during the main mission, but the Eve lander raised it to 400... Needless to say I'm glad it's over.
  2. The existence of the Olivine Formations proves Minmus is, in fact, mint chocolate chip ice cream
  3. YEAR 1 DAY 206 The Mesbin Times: Kerbals on Statmun... MSCV orbiting Statmun. Today, the MSCV crew of Jeb and Bob Kerman made their way to the innermost moon of Mesbin, Statmun! Statmun is a clump of metal and iron that spins rather quickly. So quickly, that it is in fact impossible to land on Statmun's equator without floating away! Jeb takes the MSCV down to the ground This is why the MSCV crew decided to land on Statmun's North Pole. From the looks of it, the surface of Statmun seems to be half covered in rust, similar to Duna! Just a little fun on Statmun... If, I mean- when the MSCV arrives back at Mesbin, the science experiments done there will be of great interests to scientists. Well this doesn't feel like a real moon... more like a glorified asteroid! - Jeb Kerman Due to both lack of supplies and boredom, the MSCV Crew make their way back to the station. I feel underqualified for this! - Bob Kerman
  4. L00nTech's response to the Novera 1 We at L00nTech are very supportive of the decision to declutter space and make space exploration cheaper! The Novera 1 perfectly fills the gap in the heavy launcher segment and should be a perfect addition to Beyond's arsenal. However, it seems that our CEO, Loony Kerman is having a bit of a fit (screaming and tables thrown in the background). Anyways, about the RBS v2... give me that mic peasant! Oh no, he's taken the mic! Oh KiwiTech, you better watch your back... not saying we're competitors but I dare say this reusable launch vehicle town is too small for the both of us!!! *faints* Oh great, he fainted... anyhow, we can't wait for the launch of Novera 1 next year!
  5. For visuals: EVE, Scatterer, Waterfall For parts: Near future suite, Restock
  6. Doesn't matter, it's good when people make their own spin on things
  7. I got tired of having to send repair kits from Kerbin,,,
  8. New Update! 0.19.0 "Integrated" Fixed messages for VesselAnchor not disappearing Included LTUtils folder in the L00nToolbox mod DOWNLOAD
  9. Hey @theJesuit, i have been using Tetrix with Ground Construction. However, the placement on the ground DIY kit in the aerodynamics strand make no sense to me. Is there any reason for this?
  10. YEAR 1 DAY 205 The Mesbin Times: First Kerbs in Space! Mesbin Station and MSCV. Today marked the launch of the first kerbals to space ever since they crashed on Mesbin! Mesbin Station launch. Jebediah was the first to launch on the Mesbin Station, while Bill 'n Bob arrived on the Mesbin Station Crew Vehicle(MSCV). MSCV launch and subsequent docking. Hopefully, if all goes to plan, two of the kerbals will be returning home in the MSCV! How are we so sure that it will work? Well a few days ago, the Sample Return Probe was launched which successfully returned the first scientific data from Space to Mesbin. Sample Return Probe flight. Now in the meantime, the krew at Mesbin Station can prepare the expedition to Statmun! Kerbal Spaceflight Magazine: Probes are going places Munseeker 6 Launch. Recently, the KSP has completed the challenge of the Graymun 3: Flyby Statmun, Thresomin and finally land on Graymun! This challenge was posted as a joke, however, the KSP has actually gone and done it! Now we have no choices but to give the money. Boo hoo. Flyby of Statmun Flyby of Thresomun. Landing on Graymun!? Munseeker 5 flyby of Kerbmun Anyways, Munseeker 5 was launched to Kerbmun, where it performed a gravity assist to push into a high and inclined orbit, perfect for relays. Speaking of relays... Relay 1 The Relay 1 satellite was launched today, providing speedy connectivity to TV and radio broadcasts around Mesbin! It currently resides in a orbit between Graymun and Thresomin. Meanwhile, it seems that some goobers are paying big bucks to into space... Stay tuned, Vacuum-Heads!
  11. Large Structural Components Expanded is released! https://github.com/Watermel00n/Large-Structural-Components-Expanded/releases/tag/0.10.0
  12. By signs of intelligent life I mean no radio signals or light visible. As for the kerbals... they live underground lmao
  13. Took me way too long to dock the second stack of Jumbo-64s to the station.
  14. YEAR 1 DAY 163 The Mesbin Times: Updates on the Munseekers! Launch of Munseeker 2, bound for Thresomin. Launch of Munseeker 3, bound for Kerbmun. Launch of Munseeker 4, bound for Graymun. Due to the success of Munseeker 1, three other probes were built and launched. Munseeker 2 was launched to Thresomin where it successfully performed a landing, Munseeker 3 completed a flyby of Kerbmun, flinging it into a highly eccentric orbit of Mesbin. Munseeker 4 successfully pulled off a landing on Graymun. Munseeker 2's landing on Thresomin, a small moon with low gravity. Munseeker 3's flyby of Kerbmun. Unfortunately, there seem to be no signs of intelligent life on Kerbmun. Munseeker 4 land successfully - but tips over! Thanks to these recent accomplishments, the space program is gaining quite the reputation. However the next step is a little difficult - launching kerbals to space!
  15. We at LoonTech have gotten a really funny idea - since the current RBS series (001-004) is going to be retired after we develop our RBS v2, we might as well attach a RBS to Kerman Station and use that as a fuel depot. To really sell this idea, we propose to add an airlock to the section to use it as a "utility" module. The fins and parachutes, now unneeded, can be removed from the RBS. Hopefully, this will be pretty cheap as well as conforming to the 15 ton limit, since the module is basically the launch vehicle.
  16. Chapter 2: The Ascender Year 1, Day 29 The new KSP has been planning their next move, and they decided to go big or go home. This is the Ascender Capsule, manufactured by AtomicTech, a major contender in the post-war aerospace sector. While the capsule had been a scrapped project from the old program two decades ago, AtomicTech was able to secure blueprints as well as manufacturing components from the warehouse. The Ascender Capsule can hold two kerbals as well as some basic flight instruments. Before the KSP can launch the capsule to orbit, they first have to test the abort system. "John, I think it's working!" "Successful abort system fire! The capsule is still intact." "Let's just drive to the capsule and check it out." "I can't see any damage. I think we're good to go!" Later that evening, John and the growing team of 28 employees held a meeting. "Now that we have a crew capsule, we can attempt to visit whatever the old program left in orbit. The most prominent of these is the Hope Orbital Research Platform. Although the radio equipment used to communicate with the station have long been destroyed, we can try to establish comms to this station. However, we would need to send a crewed vessel to install the equipment within the station." Herbrett blurted, "Why do we have to put the equipment inside the station when we can just attach a utility module to the station on the outside?" Herbrett continued, "We can use those grabbers that you brought to work today, Nathanael. That way, we won't need to worry about whether the station's docking ports still work." John interrupted Herbrett, "Enough talk! Let's get to work!"
  17. womp womp We will be sending a replacement sooner or later. Hopefully this doesn't occur again.
  18. An old project of mine, redone in future me style. The old thread if anyone needs it. It had been 12 years since the 5th Kerbin War ended and 14 years since the last space program ended. Kerbals have always had a habit of worldwide conflicts, having fought 5 in the last 100 years. However, the Fourth Kerbin War had been the worst of them all. In the end, the Kermarian Federation won, but at what cost? Retired director of the old Space Program John Kerman brings the old kerbonauts and scientists back together, but with the economy in ruins and decades of work destroyed, will they be able to succeed in bringing Kerbalkind to space for good? "Complete" Timeline taken from the old thread(mostly) Chapter 1: Into Space "I've always believed that Kerbalkind was meant to be in space." John Kerman chuckled as the rickety car drove onto the "launch pad". The new KSC was a old abandoned airbase once used to test missiles and experimental aircraft. Standing on the launch pad was a small stubby rocket, created out of the fusion of an aircraft fuselage and a missile. "This probe's a mere fraction of what the Roundarians used, y'know? They once put a space station in orbit in a single launch!" The Orbit-All-Ready was remotely controlled by the equipment in the cabin behind the driver's seat. Hopefully the rocket wouldn't do anything weird. "Nathanael, are all systems ready?" John asked. "I can't tell, these systems are prehistoric. Only thing I can tell is that the rocket hasn't fallen over yet." Nathanael complained. "Whatever, you only live once. Herbrett, start the launch sequence." John began counting down loudly. "Uh, starting engines, everything looks like it's holding up..." "Launch clamps released! That sure does fly like a rocket! Just like the good ol' days..." "Releasing manual control. Starting gravity turn..." "Staging in a few seconds..." "John, the probe's flipping!" John pushed Herbrett aside and hit the button reading "Disengage Launch Sequence". "It's a shame we didn't put reaction wheels on this thing, but I think we got this under control." "One final push..." Just like that, the new KSP had placed their first satellite into orbit. Now the only way they could go was up.
  19. YEAR 1 DAY 113 The Mesbin Times: Success from Graymun! Munseeker 1 Launch Earlier today, the Munseeker 1 was launched to Graymun. This new probe design contains brand-new science experiments and a relay antenna. This antenna can be used to relay connections across the Mesbin system after the probe's mission is complete. \ Image of Graymun's heavily cratered surface, with Derbin on the horizon. Due to low amount of fuel, Munseeker 1 cannot enter orbit around Graymun, instead passing by Graymun into an elliptical Mesbin Orbit. Plans are being made for an Unmanned Graymun Lander and perhaps a crewed exploration somewhere in the future.
  20. YEAR 1 DAY 89 The Mesbin Times: First Landing on Statmun! Hopper 2 Probe Approaching Statmun Today marked the launch of the Hopper 2 Probe, an improved version of the Hopper 1, which successfully landed on Statmun's South Pole earlier today. Hopper 2 Probe Landed on Statmun Onboard are several science experiments that will be used to examine the composition and nature of Statmun. Jumper 2, a atmosphere research probe launched a few days ago MSP's next goals are obvious: to explore Graymun and Kerbmun, the larger moons of the Mesbin System. "Due to Mesbin's large gravity well, a new probe design will have to be designed for it. These are the Munseeker Probes, equipped with long range antennas and more efficient engines, which will allow us to visit the outer system." Munseeker 1...
  21. Version 1.4.0 is out! May be buggy, so make sure to post if you see any bugs! https://spacedock.info/mod/2891/AtomicTech Inc. Junkyards#changelog
