  1. I think procedural command parts would be incredible for those of use that love the building element of the game. Examples: Pods - Pick a diameter, slider for height, slider for top node diameter. Makes anything from dragon to fuji possible. To go above and beyond, add curvature sliders to make soyuz and vostok style pods. Probes - Pick a shape and height Rovers - I'm not sure how to do this one Cockpits - mkI or mkII shape, then window style, and length/curvature of the nose Hitchhiker cans - Diameter, height, maybe shape Inflatables? - Please How many kerbals does it fit? - Have the game calculate the maximum sized cuboid that the shape can contain, then calculate how many whole kerbal sized cuboids can be sardined inside that. How much does it weigh? - Use a density for each command type part for the volume - cuboid, then + weight of kerbals Doors, windows, and more. - Make these parts radially attachable. This would open the possibility for built-in containers that can be opened by kerbals, cargo holds, multiple hatches, windows. Think parts like ladders are now. Would this sacrifice IVA? Most likely. But we would still have the old parts for those. Although, procedurally generated IVAs could be done, may not always look great though.

  3. I'm annoyed by the lack of aircraft, especially airliner parts and many mods are discontinued or don't have the parts I want. So I will make my own! (Click on the images for full-size) Boeing 737, 727 and 787 View inside the 737 cockpit Taking a look at the 737-800 engine Parts Boeing 737 (Max) inspired Cockpit with detailed IVA Boeing 737-800 Engine Boeing 787 Dreamliner Cockpit with detailed IVA Note that I will probably not add complete airliners, this is supposed to improve your creations with custom-built, specific parts, which drastically improve the visuals of your aircraft! I will add parts as I desire, and do not have any specific roadmap in mind. I'm open to suggestions though. Download coming soon!
  4. anyone who help me for the alternative MK2 cocpit. the current cockpit has limited view and hard to reed velocity at the same time. i hate arcade sims. flying with the limited view and unfriendly gage setup is frustrating.
  5. Hey Kerbals, trying to find a cockpit that's simply just a glass dome which you mount on top an existing structure element for example. It might not be a pure cockpit mod, but that it's simply apart of another mod, anyone know what im talkin about? Would appreciate some help!
  6. Hi! Im looking for some sleek cockpit mods, preperably some with a glass dome type cockpit. I had a mod with what im looking for, but accidently deleted that install so im lost & need some directions. Hope you can help, have a good day!
  7. Made an Airbus A330 based cockpit with stock-alike textures, any interest? Or suggestions for more cockpits / parts? It does not have an IVA yet, though I'd like to give it a try, haven't tried doing one before.
  8. My vision for this mod is to create stock alike believable parts to build passenger planes with. It is inspired by Airplane Plus, and will be made to supplement it as well as the stock parts. Here is an album with some concept art and work in progress screen shots: https://imgur.com/a/fAViy And here is an album showing up the semi finished parts: https://imgur.com/a/ljyIgIH Parts currently in the mod: Download at: https://github.com/neistridlar/Neist-Airliner-Parts/releases Tweakscale patch by @TMasterson5: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/u6cliq18972oo1g/AADtWdAcCjVC-oGoO1_Jycfaa?dl=0 I am pretty new to modding in general, so if you have advise or suggestions you would like to offer, please do so. I do believe, however, that I have many of the skills required. My plan is to use Fusion 360 along with Blender for modeling, Gimp and Inkscape for image and graphics editing. I do know a little C++, python and matlab, which might come in handy, though I have never programmed anything with more than a command line interface, so I expect to have a few things to learn if I want to get into that side of modding. Also I want to set this up so that it is easy for someone else to take over in the case that I should disappear (knowing my self I usually don't stay focused on one thing for more than 1-2 years at a time), so any suggestions as to how to accomplish this would be welcome. @kerbmario Is now making updates for Neist Airliner Parts: https://spacedock.info/mod/3034/NeistAir%20Reupdated This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0
  9. Hello! I just had an idea recently : I use KSP with FAR, procedural parts and procedural B9 wings. What if, instead of using stock cockpits and cabins etc. , we use to design aircraft with our own cockpits and cabins? We choose the shape, the diameter, the length, the texture and eventually the resources of the procedural part. The program calculates crew and resources capacities following the dimensions. Maybe even choose between a general aviation, an airliner, or spaceship IVA? While asking about such a thing, why not a procedural unmanned pod? Oh, my God, I am so excited about this! I know it could be VERY, VERY hard to create such a mod, though.
  10. Wyleg's Wonderful Workshop Parts for aircrafts. Mk3 HVC cockpit Heavy heat-shielded cockpit for reusable trans-atmospheric spaceships. Provides high visibility for its crew. Holds up to 4 kerbonauts. Now features working RCS! Cockpit is WIP - currently it lacks IVA and there's no cabin illumination. T-10 Air Intake This intake resembles the one used on Sukhoi Su-27 family of fighter jet aircrafts. It also should fit other replicas such as MiG-31 Foxhound and F-14 Tomcat with this distinctive shape with sharp edges and rectangle-ish frame. Intake is designed to fit stock 1.25m cylindrical jet fuel tanks. 11. SilverWolf Aerospace is reopening its doors! After mulling it over for some time, I have decided to re-release this project. So, what is it? It is a humble collection of things I have wanted over the years. A more attractive, familiar cockpit for airliners and small freighters. Something a little more iconic when economy gives way for haste, and something completely new for exceeding the boundaries of sanity and atmosphere. I've also paid attention to the back of the plane, too, adding tail connectors I have longed for. Auxilliary power units included. Finally, I have a bad habit for mounting my wings low; so wing boxes of varying lengths with various cockpit and tail adapters have been thrown it; because an aircraft just looks better when it's streamlined. What's next, I have no idea. Download: https://kerbal.curseforge.com/projects/silverwolf-aerospace As a friendly reminder, All Rights Reserved.
  12. Greetings!! What are the best IVA's out there currently? I would love to fly missions completely from the interior. Thanks for the help! Kurt

  18. I wasn’t exactly sure where to post this, but since this is technically an addon I am developing, it made the most sense to put it here. Anyhow… Yes, you read that right, a full size Gemini capsule retrofitted to be a “sim-pit” for KSP. The idea has been floating around in my head, basically since I started playing KSP years ago, but it just never really seemed like KSP, or I, was ready for it. Until now… The point of the project is to produce a Gemini sim-pit that anyone can build with supplies from a Home Depot (or similar) and access to general woodworking tools. The goal is not to create a perfect museum-quality replica of Gemini, but rather something which enables the Gemini experience for KSP without breaking the bank. I decided the best way to make the project happen was to crowdfund it with Kickstarter and in return all of the CAD, documentation, schematics, and software will be made open source for anyone to make their own capsule (or any subcomponent thereof). If the Kickstarter succeeds, I hope to bring the completed capsule to various events (MakerFaire, Gaming Cons, etc…) for people to take it for a spin. The design includes over 50 toggle switches, 10 buttons, mechanical panel meters, alphanumeric 14 segment displays, and 3D printed mechanical navballs (see NeoMorph’s work on his own navball here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/162666-wip-the-real-nav-ball-project-thread-2017-edition/ his work inspired me enough to create my own navballs very similar to his design for this project). All of these will be connected to functions in KSP using kRPC. Knowing the awesome KSP community I thought this would give everyone a chance to get involved in what (at least I think) is a really awesome project, and I’ve also created some super cool rewards for te Kickstarter. I’ve included some graphics and pictures below of the project work so far. If you want to support the project here is the Kickstarter link (Thanks!): https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1770837468/open-source-gemini-simulator I’ll be posting here with updates on the project, but I’ll also be detailing the work on my blog: Ventures in Making Now, here are the pics: ***Disclaimer: I read through the forum rules (specifically about monetization), and I don’t think this violates anything forbidden, but if it does, I will gladly remove the post to comply with rules.***
  19. So, I know this may seem a little silly, but I would deeply thank someone if they could be able to create a glider cockpit? Or like a parts mod for gliders, since the stock/modded cockpits are either for Space Shuttles, or jet fighters. By the way, here's a picture for reference.

  21. ASET/RPM for Falcon cockpit, -An add-on for Airplane Plus mod I really enjoyed blackheart612's Falcon Cockpit (F16/mk2 non-commercial), so I decided to pimp it up a bit with a fully (95% anyhow) working IVA. The first attempts were mostly done by brute-hacking cfgs, but that soon proved to be extremely time consuming. So I downloaded Unity and started dillydallying a bit there till I got reasonably satisfied. So there we have it, my first add-on. This is not an attempt to re-create the real F16 layout(s) by no means, but to make an resemblance that works in KSP. -All credits go to the talented @blackheart612 for his IVA and of course @alexustas and @MOARdV for their props and RPM Feedback is always welcome. For core issues with dials etc please visit that mod's forum thread. My skills are mostly limited to basic prop placement. History: v0.8 - Release. 23. Anyone aware of a mk2-compliant rover cockpit? Trying to make a rover around a mk2 passenger cabin, and piecing one together from flaps and external seats is a little wonky. Heres a doodle of what I'm talking about: Or something like that.
  24. Are there any mods which include decent two-seater cockpits suitable for training/reconaissance craft? I'd love to have something that looks decent and has a shared IVA, as I'm getting a little tired of makeshifting it with cubic struts and offset.
