  1. Just turn down the science return % when you start a new career.
  2. ded mod pls update after you finish your project for me
  3. IVAs aren't worth the time investment typically. Most players don't use them or only use them once or twice. I'm still surprised - for how vocal of a minority IVA players are, there seem to be almost none willing to step up and make them. @AndyMt you're one of the good ones.
  4. I, uh, never got around to packaging up a release. You can download the master from Github however.
  5. I greatly approve of this mod! Is it generic, or do patches need to be made to make other parts compatible?
  6. I have one I started but didn't finish. I think I just did the Apollo capsules, and you can find that in one of the recent pages on the WIndowshine thread (I think). If not I'll have to repost it. Any ones in particular you'd like to see me do next?
  7. <insert witty, knowledgeable reference to some obscure version of Linux>
  8. ~~~I survived the forum outrage of 2017 and all i got was this lousy sig line and honorary moderator status~~~
  9. I'd like to thank my excrementposting skills for this horrible opportunity. EDIT: I just got off the phone with my mom, she's so proud of me.
  10. My headcanon is that they're now adding new moderators just so they can reply 'No.'
  11. Don't take it as disrespect towards Frizzank, Denny, or anyone else involved in FASA. That is not my intention at all. But the fact is Frizzank has basically said he wants to see it replaced, and the people who took the burden of maintaining it are either fed up ( @raidernick ) or don't have the time ( @NathanKell ). I have put a lot of work, more or less intentionally, in trying to go above and beyond the high bar set by FASA. So personally, I feel that it's time to move on from a 'classic' mod that hasn't been updated in over a year. Now, a lot of people still want to play with FASA for a variety of totally awesome reasons (and the following is a general statement, and not to @ArkaelDren in particular) and that's fine. But if people want that to happen, there needs to be a new generation of volunteers to step up and actually put the work into fixing, updating, and maintaining the mod. Because at the moment, that is not happening. Little snippets and workarounds are one thing (a quick glance upwards I see @Virtualgenius helping out) but what is really needed is some form of 'FASA Continued', or at least formal handover of the original mod to someone that has the time and... I was about to say capability, but let's instead say desire. All it takes is someone to take the time to look into the issues, and learn how to fix them.
  12. @raidernick stock now has a functionality to add moduleanimategeneric nodes to action groups. So you can set any generic animation to lights, gear, etc. <no shame> For what it's worth, my mod Bluedog Design Bureau is updated and covers much of the same stuff as FASA. No RO configs (someone should really make some!!!) but it works fine in stock and with rescales (we have custom SMURFF configs all the way up to 64k) </I would have my shame back now but I didn't have any to begin with>
  13. Tech tree balance is currently being audited and pretty much completely redone by @minepagan Can't say I have.
  14. Quoting myself to save time. Basically, the parts are all balanced against stock parts - same fuel amounts for a given volume of tankage, for example. The parts are modeled at the same scale as stock parts. It's just the stock system is too small. Rather than nerf everything to make it work in the stock system (thus making the parts useless compared to, say, Tantares) we just let the player decide whether they want to make the parts (and thus, all their other parts) perform more accurately.
  15. BDB is usually at 64% scale, though there is a lot of rounding to fit into the semi-fixed number of sizes.
