Hey everyone! So, we started using @JadeOfMaar's awesome new plumes. Right now, the parts are being converted to the plumes using a few blanket MM patches. We need to know what plumes need individualized adjustments to look right. Keep an eye out for parts with more that 5 thrusters on a single part - they're susceptible to bugs that leave one plume scaled wildly different than the others. I've opened a GitHub issue to contain relevant conversation, so please leave your feedback there

Who uses IFS anymore? Most modders I know are moving to B9PS or the stock module if they literally only need texture switching. I'm sticking with B9PS, the upcoming features are pretty insane.

Well it has a 0.625m 'hole' to shove stuff in. A short Able would also work, maybe, stuff like that. It wouldn't look right with like a Star-48 but it could be Tweakscaled I guess. Something like an stock Oscar with an Ant would fit underneath too. I don't like making 'single use' parts but if they're cool enough, y'know, it's kinda up to the player to find other cool uses for them.

I'm not sure, I was looking to be able to use that for my Titan first stage engines which use Hypergolic-Lower. I don't think it occurred to me this couldn't be done on a per-engine basis, rather than per-preset? Since that noise is something really unique to the Titans as I understand it.

It looks like Kerbalism maintains configs for us on their end, so you should probably give them to the Kerbalism team Thank you, updated the thread OP. Apart from fixing a bug or two last night, I was able to make progress modeling something I think few people have heard of... the Burner 2 upper stage kit! Can be used to convert your 0.625m upper stages (it normally uses a Star-37) to a fully controlled upper stage with RCS. Please note the last image, which has avionics boxes on the faces that are missing detail in the other pictures (which were taken a few minutes prior). This is going to be a pain to UV unwrap but I think it will be pretty cool once it's done.

That does sound weird what about if its just an ignition sound and not a low throttle?

I scaled the 5x mount to work with the LR-105, since in my head it made sense to try and scale them for the biggest `1.25m-ish` engines I had handy. Was that a mistake? Thanks to you for making these and @Gordon Dry for submitting a PR. I did a little bit of cleanup just now. Regarding the 4x mount, here is the screenshot from Maya with the very WIP LR-87s in the mount. I don't know how well they'd deal with gimballing, but there's only so much I can do. They would have to be tweaked with the translation gizmo to be slightly more outboard than the E-1s and other single engines. That Big G is... uh... interesting... I think we 'lost' the Blue Streak when Beale decided to redo his CRE parts prior to initial release and suddenly the art styles didn't match. I haven't had a chance to look at it again. (And Blue Streak-derived stuff is some of my favorite stuff ever so I won't let someone else mess with it ) I'm going to be honest, I went to art school. I don't know what half those symbols mean. Otherwise its very cool!

Well, I make a historic mod called Bluedog Design Bureau (which incidentally already natively supports RealPlume), and I would love if I had a 'Bwoooop' sound effect for the ignition (you can separate ignition sounds for engines, right?) on the LR-87 and some related alt-history engines. EDIT: Forgot to include a video example:

Y'all were busy... sorry if I miss responding to something! the vac LR-87 (remember, this is the Titan IV first stage variant we're talking about, not the LH2 or anything... err, well, the LH2 version would be able to share the vacuum bell I think) would be a single bell, yes. Nice, I'll add that link to the OP. They're both required, right? Awesome!!! ooph, that is unfortunate. Do they not fit even if you tweak them? I do know the nodes for the 4x mount aren't going to be perfectly positioned for all the engines that actually physically fit there. On a related note, if there are any intrepid volunteers that want to update our Tweakscale configs... they are probably like two years out of date at this point. Ouch. What engines? LR87-LH2s?

@damonvv that's awesome! I don't know a lot about the Atlas V pads, does that also support the 5xx configurations? @Pappystein I think Drak beat you to the punch @Drakenex awesome! Were all 4 SRMUs necessary for the hydrolox variant? @Pulsar Sweet! Were you using the 5x engine mount or the 4x? I figured out the E-1s look acceptable on the 5x mount, the extra TWR really helps the first stage. I wonder if RL10-A4s (the short extension) work on that... I definitely need to make different variants for the upper stage. Does anyone want anything besides a 1x and a 4x? I am not sure a 2x or 3x would be useful since the step down from a J-2 or LR-87V (not in the mod but will need to be included in the Titan engine revamp, for canon Barbarian builds) to RL10s or AJ-10s would be a pretty big one, you really need a cluster of those smaller engines for TWR. EDIT: Oh, by the way, finally got around to updating the FAQ in the OP as well as the links in my signature! Let me know if I missed anything.

One of my favorite websites! I refer to his stuff a lot, especially for the LDC Titan parts! Speaking of which... LDC Titan Beta 2 is now on the Github. The 4x and 5x engine mounts are now in game and the tanks have been touched up a bit. I really like the single-stick config for the LDC. It probably isn't big enough to launch something like an Apollo, unfortunately...
