  1. I can confirm the above answers will set you straight. Thats how to find them.
  2. There is a number of parts missing from the 0.625m list. It would be great to have them all and I'm sure I'd find a use for them. I'd be nice to start the game off with 0.625m sounding-style rockets. Mini cargo bay for the tiny experiments, etc. Forget about potato pc's and them lagging behind. KSP now needs to take into account the limited fixed RAM of the consoles as well. Perhaps not loading everything should be considered since Squad is continuing to add parts.
  3. Welcome. Try the tutorials, theyre invaluable to a beginner.
  4. I closd my materials bay doors on a return from Munar flyby because it felt like the right thing to do.
  5. Allow me to make it even more confusing! The f12 version also saves a screenshot to your computer, but off in weird steam folder with a jibberiesh name. Steam has a little utility that lets you select what screenshots you'd like to upload to steam with the option of a short caption and spoiler tags. The utility will pop up after youve closed a game, or can be manually brought up mid-game for your uploading needs.
  6. Steam (if you're using it) screenshots will display a sound and a notification if you have it set to. Steam screenshots default to F12, but that also turns on aerodynamics display, but it can be changed to your preferred keypress.
  7. ... and the last 2 pages are why your marketing department shouldn't be focusing on wheels right now.
  8. What region are you in? Or rather, its only available currently in the US. They do not have a release date for the other regions, but they will let us know when they do.
  9. I am gobsmacked you had to borrow an xbox to test players' bug reports, Sal. Thats so unfortunate.
  10. I'd rather see one of the scientist kerbals all standing around an unbranded generic console while holding clipboards, with a caption reading: "Our boffins are hard at work on our first console update, thanks for your feedback!" Or something that both acknowledges issues and shows they're being worked on. Heck, even a couple of Kerbals sitting in the Astronaut complex couch with controllers in their hands playing KSP on console on the TV. Caption reading: "Accepting new Pilots to the Kerbal Space Program!" Something relevant, positive, and clever. I could see if the picture was released with 1.2, with a caption something like "Now with 117% more fun wheels!" or somesuch. Sort of poking fun at the bug and themselves while simultaneously celebrating its fixing. To come out of nowhere during a major product launch and instead tout a part of the game that's been not working so well lately is baffling.
  11. Something with a ring like Saturn and lots of moons out past Jool.
  12. Wheels are wheels, they have the same problems but havent been put in the enummerable configurations that the landing gears have. Check the support forums, there are threads about steering, and blocked and all the rest. Okay, they'll be fixed next release hopefully, I'm as excited as anyone for that. I have success designing around the problem too, and really its not nearly the highest priority problem they're facing. But why, when your twitter is being bombarded by people asking for help with broken savegames, freezing and all the other myriad of problems with the console releases, would you focus instead on some marketing that literally features heavily a part of the game that too is currently broken? Their latest tweet is about Roverdude making some cool mod for PC. It just strikes me as really poor PR going on over there.
  13. So, this is on Squad's twitter. I went looking to see what they're communicating to the folks having lots of problems on console. https://mobile.twitter.com/KerbalSpaceP Are they just trolling or what? Knowing how bad the wheels are in version 1.1.x, who in their right mind would use this as an advertisement to prospective players? Hopefully that PR manager gets hired STAT, they sure need one. How is this appropriate at all is lost on me.
  14. Squad never announces patch dates. Keep a look out in the announcement section for "XYZ... Enters Experimental Testing" posts, at which point you know the update is coming "soon-ish". Check Guideline number 2, section 3, subsection "e" of the forum rules.
  15. To be sure, I was refering to myself knowing what both those flags are withiut having to look them up. I'm one of those thousand+ hours players.
  16. You know you play too much KSP when you actually know the flags you've named without even looking them up. Yikes.
  17. That really explains how the game went from years of Alpha updates to one "Beta" phase patch, then right to 1.0 after only 4 months.
  18. Unity3D is the game engine KSP is built on. There are times where a bug or a problem in KSP is due to the Unity engine not supporting something. An example is the the way wheels work (or don't) in the current game. Previously, KSP used an older version of the Unity engine. In that old version, there was a module that KSP used for its wheels. It worked pretty good. KSP upgraded to Unity5.x which added 64bit support and a bunch of other things that were a benefit. One of the issues was that old wheels module no longer worked. It wasn't KSP's fault, but rather the engine it's built on. So a new wheels module had to be written, and it has a bunch of issues with it you can read about on these very forums. They are going to update to an even newer version of Unity to help resolve the issue. Another issue with Unity is that when games written on it are ported to PS4, there is no mouse support for the porting. I am not a developer, this is purely my understanding of what I've read. I don't know if Squad/FTE could write their own code to port mouse functionality or if they have to wait for Unity itself to support it.
  19. Sounds like one of those things the KSP devs are waiting on the Unity engine to implement.
  20. Have a read of this: http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Maneuver_node
  21. Happend again tonight, and swapping worked again. So, I guess do that, folks.
  22. I would buy patches if they were quality and proper sewn ones. I'd buy some of that 3D printed stuff if it werent made of sand.
  23. Steam doesnt seem to care. For instance using the console commands (cheats essentially, godmode etc) in Skyrim on Steam doesn't effect the awarding of achievements, I'm pretty sure.
  24. I do it with judicious use of the unilimited propellant feature.
  25. Was able to fix this last night by swapping to a different ship and then back. Node placement restored.
