  1. Did they (try to) make one not too long ago? I suppose it was a limited edition one. I don't think many people were interested, so few that it was never produced. Yes, this here: https://www.gamersedition.com/product/kerbal-space-program That's quite expensive. Posted in the comments regarding the fact the "game" part of this was a steam key, no disc:
  2. People have reported getting close to the target, switching to the tracking station and "flying" the craft from there works for them. I have also read about hopping on the taget ship's ladder if it has one will allow you switch.
  3. You want to use the Surface Scanning Module. Its the only part that will give you lat/long readout. http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Surface_Scanning_Module
  4. Another tip to keep LKO clear of debris is build your lifters so they run out of fuel just before you're able to orbit. Upper stage kicks in and gives the little boost you need for orbit, and your lifter stage falls back to Kerbin on its sub-orbital trajectory. You can slap on some retrograde facing sepratrons too, to ensure the lift stage loses a bunch of m/sec, guarenteeing a reentry.
  5. I dont care for rescue missions at all. I mean, if I am the only space program on Kerbin, where did these astronauts come from? How did they get there? Its kind of silly, to me at least. They basically boil down to an orbital rendezvous practice mission with a free Kerbal as your reward.
  6. Its not a fix, but you could try putting the chutes on an action group to deploy them together with a single command. Makes it skightly easier.
  7. Here's one where I had enough fuel in the transfer stage to land my rover with it still attached. Fortunately I had the skycrane, and just hopped it off a few feet.
  8. Check out the pre-made skycrane rover/lander combo in the stock crafts section of the game for a neat way of doing it. I use variations on that theme.
  9. There are 2 places to attach available on the bottom of the heat shield. The lower attachment point produces the shroud, which as you mention will leave a gap when disabled. The upper attachment point is direct and wont create a shroud. This is the one you want. In the MkII form I always put a heat shield under the capsule and attach the thin blue separator to it, and fine tune the distance with the Move tool. If it is too close the separator can become stuck to the heat shield and will need to be spun or pulled off by a Kerbal on EVA.
  10. This is my earliest uploaded to steam. Definitely during the first few hours of playing.
  11. The news on this kind of stuff is in form of the dev reports on Tuesdays. We've heard from them on the issues, they're working on it. That is all.
  12. Okay, I wanted to see if there was something I hadn't seen on reddit. I'm not a betting man, but I'll put $500 on no update tomorrow.
  13. When I bought Genesis Invisible Touch on casette in 1986, how liquided was I that It didnt entitle me to the CD and lossless .flac mp3 downloads?
  14. You do not have to quit, at least on pc. Did you try to switch to another ship and back?
  15. Its a bug. You're supposed to have a "set Navigation" button available when you click the marker in map mode, but apparently the place where the button should be is blank on consoles.
  16. You want to post this in the modded installs, this section is for bone stock. I am positive its an issue with your mods.
  17. Never did like the Docking Port Alignment mod. It confused me more than it helped. At this point my Mk1 eyeball is all thats needed.
  18. I did this with some mods awhile back. No idea which ones. Ended up being amazingly cool, taking pictures of Jool from Kerbin orbit etc. Sending probes out to photograph things would be awesome.
  19. I noticed the other day that some wing I had put on with snap were showing a downward lift arrow. It had to have been a bug? Maybe a symmetry bug. I dont believe the part I was attaching to was reversed. Angling the wings ever so slightly with the rotate tool made the arrow pop upward.
  20. Theres only so many times you can drive up to a ground scatter boulder with no collision mesh and pretend to be taking samples.
  21. Points of interest, with actual interesting things there would be better than just a random lat/long. That of course would require the surfaces of planets to be interesting too.
