  1. Ya know its a nice raining saturday. Good day to stream some modding. (I'm bored getting caught up on work this raining saturday)
  2. Honestly I'd rather see the U5 upgrade come out sooner rather than later. This gives modders a chance to get their mods updated. Further updates with just new features are less likely to break mods the way the U5 might.
  3. He streamed today too. Missed it as I was on the road though
  4. Hmm. Maybe because RoverDude said "ya know what, this thing needs some fuzzy dice."
  5. USI-LS includes a small and large size "Nom-o-matic" greenhouse part that can convert the waste product (mulch) back into supplies. It is not lossless of course but it can extend your supplies without needing any MKS parts. I can say as a long time TAC user that in practice I have found little gameplay difference switching to USI-LS. Whether my "food" containers have 1 item or 3 has not changed the overall gameplay.
  6. The flexotubes are essentially KAS pipes that look bigger. They work the same was as a KAS pipe.
  7. The expando tubes use the klaw mechanic. So you arm them and drive into the module you want to connect to basically.
  8. Things go in your inventory now. It is configurable if someone wants to create a config for large items for them to go on a kerbals back if they want.
  9. I get tired of unlocking the tiers. I have played enough with doing missions with only the parts available. But I do like working within budgetary constraints. So my current save I gave myself just enough science to unlock the entire tree, but otherwise I kept my funds at default, and reduced contract payback. I use science from exploration as a funding source, which still gives me motivation to do science.
  10. Because I was watching the twitch stream when Roverdude added them :-)
  11. The only nitpick I would state is that IMO the MK 1-2 is actually not that notoriously overweight. Given its much higher crash tolerance over the MK 1 pod (45 vs 15) it isn't far off IMO. Not to bring RL into it, but since the MK 1 and MK 1-2 pods seem to closely resemble the mercury vs Apollo command pods, you can sorta use them as a guideline. If you compare the MK 1 pod to a mercury capsule and the Mk 1-2 to the apollo they are pretty similar, with the mass ratios favoring KSP. That being said, the karibou holds 3 kerbals, but also has significantly more battery power than a Mk1-2 pod. It also has space for mulch storage, built in landing legs, as well as fuzzy dice. So I don't personally have an issue with it being 4T.
  12. Given how SETI modifies how many science experiments work I would say you are probably correct. Your best option is to test without SETI to verify. And with that I am just going to take cover over here...
  13. Minor nitpick. Maybe this thread could lose the alpha title? This mod is more stable than some that have been out 3x as long.
  14. Because there are even more armchair quarterbacks on the interwebs.
  15. Honestly I don't know that there is much competition (that sounded bad, I mean in most cases I think they complement more than compete). Now when it comes to IVA, especially the Alcor module, Alex wins hands down. The ERS and Karibou I don't see as competing. I like them both for different reasons. As far as Konquest and PRC, they are so badly in need of updates I wouldn't consider them even close to "release" yet. I personally love the PRC and look forward to it getting an update.
  16. I hadn't had time to play with this until now. Such a cute mod. The only feedback I'd have is that the wheels feel like their suspension is a bit squishy.
  17. computer speed doesn't keep the kraken at bay. Just sayin.
  18. Well luckily he said they would all be togglable options.
  19. You are missing KIS. It is outlined in the first Post.
  20. So go make a mod. USI-LS works fine as is, and is well balanced with Roverdudes MKS mod, which has the IRSU --> mulch parts. If you don't want to use that you are free to make your own USI-LS add on mod, just as people have done for TAC-LS.
