  9. First the people became too lazy to walk, then they became too lazy to drive a horse, then they became too lazy to drive a car, and now they are inventing AI-based droids to be the car passengers instead of them.
  10. Calling 911 to be nice in Nice.
  11. Deuterium is almost unlimited, and it produces a lot of parasite neutrons per Watt, which anyway should be absorbed by something (for example, by the oceanic water around the underwater powerlant). Thus, the deuterium fusion is a mainstream way to power, and the wastes can be just put between the fusion zone and the oceanic water, to be splitted by the parasite neutrons for free. As also the natural, non/low-enriched fissile ores can be used same way, and would be producing additional wastes, it makes sense to mix the natural thorium/uranium (for example, being extracted from the same oceanic water) with the existing wastes, and finally burn the latter by the fusion neutrons, and make the whole powerplant based on the oceanic water around.
  12. Based on the cost values, the gravity well of bureaucracy takes by orders of magnitude more delta-V than the puny gravity. This inspires. This means that actually the gravity has been defeated by humanity, and they need just more paper to fly to the stars.
  13. Like the Dyson sphere development would take. by the people, who added the dark matter without any physical evidence but observed star motion (i.e. used conclusion as a given), and find normal the infinitely expanding universe (hi, conservation laws! hi, entropy!), i.e. using the theories as solid as the tired light they disprove. In this case not the possibility of the kugelblitzen is important itself, but the idea that the encased electromagnetic field is losing energy. If a big ball of light is dissipating, then a small ball is probably doing the same, just much slower. And at the Universe scale, this probably means Universal amounts of dissipated energy, maybe comparable to the background emission in whole.
  14. They would have found a statue of monkey with helmet, and start guessing what's that and why?
  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riqXhieWU3M So, the KSP devs and users are.
