Well, I don't know about that. What I do know is that the vast majority of my knowledge of the underlying theory of aerodynamic design has come directly from you, Slashy. You do me a great honour, Slashy, since I consider you one of the masters of spaceplane design around here. FWIW, I never put rudders on any spaceplane I build. I haven't for quite a long time now. It was you that clued me in to that. And, yeah, I tend to avoid forward canards. Not to say that I never build with them. I have and sometimes still do. Overall, though, I leave them alone as it generally seems to work out a bit better that way. Happy landings!

Thanks Dman979! That one was a significant engineering challenge, but I think the most difficult I've completed so far is rescuing a Kerbal and her debris from the surface of Vall. I've recently sent 5 Kerbals down to the surface of Eve to rescue one. And for science. But I begin to wander too far from the topic at hand. I believe the spoiler in this post is confirmation. Happy landings!

Thanks Kuzzter! Very interesting stuff. For those who believe that this is a legit contract I must inform you that is NOT the case. I perform a lot of rescue missions and even the most difficult did not come close to that payout. There is no question (and the author has confirmed) that the Kerbulans have hacked the contract system somehow. This would appear to be the perfect way to lure the Intrepid to it's doom! And all the Kerbulans have to do is sit and wait for the Intrepid (or one of the support craft) to rendezvous. Happy Concerned Worried Nervous Anxious Agitated Scared Frightened Alarmed landings!

There's an old forum quote I like to bring back every once in a while. "KSP doesn't have a learning curve. It's more of a learning wall." Happy landings!

Hello Jaff and welcome to the KSP Forums! That is the most extensive and impressive first post I've ever seen. Happy landings!

Headings and degrees

This question about how to play the game has been moved from KSP Discussion. Welcome to the KSP Forums, Venus _Andromeda. I'm sure several forum members will chime in with answers in short order. -
Thanks Kuzzter! That was a very fun update what with the roll call and the bit of suspense. I do like the probes. And Sarge always has such fun bossing them around. Why is my symmetry-sense tingling? Happy Concerned landings!

An off-topic post has been removed. Please post content and have that content at least loosely related to the topic at hand. That topic being Parkaboy's thrilling tale of the last 50 Kerbals left alive.

Need Help On Improving SSTOs

Here is a link to the transfer planner that I use. Leaving at the right time is crucial to performing a fuel-efficient transfer. To travel to Duna, you will want your trajectory after the burn to be in the same direction which Kerbin is moving as it orbits the sun. There are other transfer planning tools available if you look around the forum. Some are available in-game with the use of mods and others are external such as the one linked above. Happy landings!

Hello MinimalMinmus and welcome to the KSP Forums! I would recommend Duna. You are correct about the atmosphere not helping much with landing, but it can help. Getting to Duna is not hard and does not require a particularly large rocket. Glad to have you aboard. Happy landings!

That was definitely awesome! Nice work Bob! Beautiful piloting Tedus! The fact that this begins to wrap up the exploration of Jool's final moon seems to bode dangerous things for our heroes. Especially given what Sarge has in store and how the Kerbulans will perceive that act. Thanks Kuzzter! Happy Concerned landings!

Hmmm. Interesting hypothesis. I'm afraid I'm more likely to have said "Water's water.", but I'm not a genius chemist or engineer. I would assume lower atmospheric density and sitting lower (thus increasing drag) are the most significant factors, I loved the line about the itches. Happy landings!

Bob and Tedus really do have a lot of fun together, don't they? I must say I was surprised at how low Skimmeroo sits in Laythe's oceans. Looks like Tedus is having no problem getting the ship out of the water nonetheless. Never having built a floatplane, I had not considered the implications of landing in otherworldly bodies of water. If Bob still can't get out, I'm sure Tedus can do a couple of barrel rolls or something. Hm, Bob might have some concerns about that plan. Happy Concerned landings!
