I’ve never used Kerbal X, maybe you have to register mods it’s not already familiar with. As for MM part names, you should definitely change the name if you are doing more than tweaking values.

Well, most governments run a lottery, and it seems to be working OK for them. Also, this project has pyramid scheme red flags all over it.

Nice work! Are your trying to use realish launch vehicles? I started something similar once, but I gave up on shuttle installations.

A more realistic spaceship / enterprise.

What was the information that caused the redesign? love the work so far! -
Weird, I'm not sure what this has to do with MJ, I don't think it would have any affect on colliders. I used to see something similar when playing with Textures Unlimited. It has psuedo-parts that float outside your craft to create reflections, but sometimes they would smash your ship in warp. That was a while ago and I thought the issue had been fixed.

Hey @Vandest, these look great. I look forward to trying them out in my stock-ish install. Here is some info on licenses for KSP mods: Basically, you can't redistribute the work of others, unless their license allows that. Otherwise you can put whatever license you want on your original work. In terms of the modding community it is generally considered good to give your mod a license that would allow a new developer to take over maintenance and distribution of the mod if you lose interest in it. Anyway, thanks for your work!

Thanks for the help @blowfish. I had partial success. The node switching stuff all works and getting the fuel stuff should be easy enough once I figure out how to get models to switch. But when the part loads in the editor only the first model in the list to show up. When I switch through the options in the editor the part is blank (Though I can still click on it and it still has attach nodes) for the rest of the models. I'm not sure if I should bring in all the models in one node, or if I should make a node for each of the 4 models. When I tried it with 4 model nodes, all the models showed up simultaneously (even though it seemed like the colliders were actually switching as intended. The only other thing I can think of right now is that I'm not naming the correct transform name (there is a lot of very similar names).

Hi @blowfish, thank you for your work. I was thinking of trying to write a config that would combine all Size 1 fuel tanks into a single part with switchable lengths, is that possible with Part Switch? Looking at the wiki I couldn't find a way to do that. If so, could you recommend an example?

Great idea! I look forward to trying this out.

It also says the shower has capacity for 4.

Leaving aside the question of the Earth, is it ethical to pollute or otherwise destroy the natural features of other planets in the process of seeking and extracting resources?
-
Wow, crazy orbit. Also, the pointing back to earth each orbit is really interesting.

From ESA: http://blogs.esa.int/rocketscience/2018/01/12/tiangong-1-reentry-updates/ Where and when? I'm just north of 45 so I won't catch anything, but I could probably see a reentry at night. This next chart is my favorite

One model to look at is the recent trend in some cities, like Portland, where I live, is to try to eliminate traffic and pedestrian deaths called Vision Zero. What is unique about the approach is that the goal is not just to make some incremental reduction to the problem but actually eliminate it. From a design perspective this allows a wider range of possible solutions. Cars are much more complicated than guns and the infrastructure they depend costs billions of dollars, but society can imagine, plan and build for a better outcome. I would love to see this idea get traction in the US. -
Anyone heard from Elon lately? is he in that spacesuit?

I’m crying

Bezos forgot he doesn’t own spacex.

I guess they are pushing the limits of how suicidey a suicide burn they can achieve. Great pics @XB-70A

Will we see FH from the rocket cam?

13 is a lot of cubesats to go up all at once! Maybe they will just have a drone swarm shadowing the Orion, taking glamour shots.

Really enjoyed that video, from the shaking camera at liftoff to the weird color blotches as the signal deteriorated at the end. I did think the smoke trail loop was bit show-offy for a New Zealander though.
