All Moons are Gone
Galileo replied to funkcanna's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Tbh you have so many mods it could be any of them causing an issue. My recommendation is to try SVE without any other mods installed. And install it manually, not through CKAN. See if the issue persists. If you get clouds great, start adding your mods back little by little until you find what mod is conflicting with SVE -
I know there is decent amount of veterans on the forums (not the ones in orange suits), myself included, and I just wanted to send out a quick thank you to all of you. Happy Veterans Day. No safety brief today. Fall out. You are released. Enjoy your weekend!

Ok you don't have the whole scatterer mod in your gamedata. You only have the .dll You need to download this and then add the dll you have to it.

[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Updated Scatterer for those that don't use eclipses. If i do that, it will be in my sun flare pack, not on SVE. Some people don't like it so i don't want to force it on em, ya know? -

[WIP] [1.2.1] [2.0.4] Stock Size Real Solar System
Galileo replied to sDaZe's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
After much procrastination hard work, I finally have finished updating it.. I couldn't find @sDaZe online so he could post the link so ill make an executive decision and post it. Here it is: UPDATE v2.0.4 Brings SSRSS up to date with latest KSP (1.2.1) 6 hour kerbal days Better performance with SVE Added ground textures to ALL celestial bodies (still a wip though) Reduced download size Other little fixes More features to come soon Install instructions included in the download To get the correct look for the Moon, you MUST install the optional RSS-Textures included in the download Known Issues Clouds do not show up in main menu Scatterer (atmospheric haze) does not show up in main menu or in tracking station Small amount of "z fighting" between ocean and land on Earth. I'm working on a fix. Until sDaZe uploads it to SpaceDock, It will only be on GitHub... SpaceDock is too slow anyway. REQUIRES KOPERNICUS DOWNLOAD- 2,401 replies

that wouldn't be a bad idea. Here are the values that need to be changed when rescaling the ground textures steepNearTiling = * steepTiling = * lowNearTiling = * lowMultiFactor = * lowNearTiling = * lowMultiFactor = * midNearTiling = * midMultiFactor = * midBumpNearTiling = * midBumpFarTiling = * highNearTiling = * highMultiFactor = * highNearTiling = * highMultiFactor = * Here are some screenshots for comparison http://imgur.com/a/Q4gNI These are the original values i had set in before rescaling them x10
-
yes give me a few min and ill take some pics
-
Would you be able to add the capability to scale ground textures? I noticed that i manually have to change all of the tiling values to x10 of whatever value i have set in order for it to look right EDIT: Actually i dont know what is happening. for one planet it needs to be adjusted x10 for another it doesnt.. ill play around with it some more before i pop off anymore assumptions

All Moons are Gone
Galileo replied to funkcanna's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Looks like you don't have a single mod that requires kopernicus. Always make sure you know what mods do what or you will end up with issues and not knowing what is causing them. It's a known issue that clouds don't show up in the main menu with kopernicus installed. If you actually go in game, there are clouds. -
All Moons are Gone
Galileo replied to funkcanna's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Remove kopernicus, ModularFlightIntegrator and whatever planet pack you have and see if the problem persists -
that looks normal.. What you are showing in that screenshot is the light correctly scattering near the horizon on a planet with an atmosphere. Your vessel is far enough behind the planet that you indeed would see the sliver of light on the right side of the planet. Being directly behind the planet that has an atmosphere would have this effect as well. Position your vessel to be more lined up with the terminator and you will not have that sliver of light any longer. Here is a picture of Titan taken by the Cassini Orbiter. http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/spaceimages/details.php?id=PIA17180 and another http://photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/catalog/PIA14613

[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Galileo replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
their rotation will be reset afaik. So it will be like starting a new career ok so my experiment with this crashed and burned... I dont know how i didnt foresee the outcome lol needless to say, I think our best chance at this falls with @blackrack -
[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Galileo replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Kopernicus itself is more than cfgs, yes, but the planet packs are just cfgs and textures. I meant OPM up there not kopernicus. -
[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Galileo replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
i get that but what other mods do you have installed? i know you said SVE and scatterer arent your issue but im skeptical of that. SVE and scatterer are very performance heavy especially on an integrated graphics card. Also, part packs, even when you aren't using the parts in flight, will crush performance. just having part packs in your gamedata will slow your game down. OPM is just a bunch of cfgs and textures shouldn't effect performance at all. with that, i think your culprit is OPM along with part packs. Depending on your CPU, i think adding OPM puts it over the edge causing a slow down when you have a bunch of other mods installed -
[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Galileo replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
what are the bad interactions you speak of? what mods are acting up with kopernicus installed? that info would be great so i don't have to go looking for issues in your output log. -
