Alright, a few questions: -Does it need to be completely stock? -Does it need to fit the same dimensions as the original, or can I go for flight characteristics, and looks over size? -How much fuel do you want it to have? Once I know that, I can start work on it
-
Yeah, can you give me a reference picture?
-
It was a real aircraft, a German aircraft, name means "firefly"
-
Check out my craft, and let me know if my aesthetics can help? Oh, by the way, the original YF-23a prototypes name was Grey Ghost. I pride myself by saying I can make anything fly like a supermaneuverable beast. I try anyway, made this fly strait:https://kerbalx.com/He_162/MBB-Lampyridae

Trev's Quality Craft Repository
He_162 replied to pTrevTrevs's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I suggest updating it every 2-3 vehicles, or when you add something of high significance that doesn't have it's own thread, otherwise, people MAY be annoyed, I don't, I love your stuff! However, I did notice when I was doing the same thing that people REALLY didn't seem to like me for it, or something, so just an ahead of time warning! -
Kerbal Powered Flight challenges
He_162 replied to He_162's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
A probe core and SAS can be used to hold the craft steady, and to maneuver it, however, the only thing that is allowed to move the craft by acceleration is the kerbal. The SAS is there purely to maneuver you and point you in the direction you wanna go. -
Anywhere! Clip it inside so it isn't visible if you want.

If you put a landing gear on your craft (a retractable aircraft one) Then your craft will be a lot more sturdy with docking ports, as they become more static, and rigid for some reason. I found that silly thing out earlier today, it's very peculiar. So put a landing gear on your craft, and the landing gear will auto strut to the part with the most mass, I think, or something, and that makes it really rigid.

I recommend some sepratrons on the top of that structure you are using to old the rocket steady in the fairing, then you can get rid of them easier, as they fly off sideways, and behind the craft.

Kerbal Powered Flight challenges
He_162 replied to He_162's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
If people ask questions, and you know the answer, go ahead and answer! I will update the listings, if you managed to make a kerbal powered vehicle, then go ahead and take the picture and put it in your signature if you want! -
Chengdu J-20 Stealth Jet Fighter (Modded)
He_162 replied to He_162's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Sorry @Majorjim, some things look better without mods.. however, why not make modded counterparts! -
Chengdu J-20 Stealth Jet Fighter (I might add the download, but it requires that you also download my gamedata folder due to a modified B9 Aerospace pack which allows further manipulation of the procedural wings, and due to some mods not being compatible, I had to make sure they work.) I decided to build a modded version of my previous stealth fighter replica in stock, and it turned out great! here is the original.

Kerbal Powered Flight challenges
He_162 replied to He_162's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Sure! -
Don't think so, just give em a while. People stop playing KSP for months at a time sometimes, and even altogether. If you want a B-24 or something, I can make one with the same mods he used, just PM me.
-
Yeah, I know a lot of people who don't download the mod unless they can get a clear idea of what all is in it, and so forth. You might get more downloads and stuff if you have a section at the bottom of the OP that lists all the parts, and has a picture for each of them, I recommend just links to the pictures, or a single spoiler with the part list and pictures.

[Stock] Ki-24 "Kind" Helicopter [WIP]
He_162 replied to Jon144's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Massive! -
I know! I just thought it was awesome !
-
Oh by the way, this glitch is possible to do if you get an aircraft up to mach 5, and time warp it into the water with heat shields on the front... soo yeah.
-
I'm working on a aircraft capable of 11 trillion times the speed of light... hopefully I can make next spacecraft friday with it, if I can even get it to go that fast with my newest kraken drive. I got a craft that uses heat shields hitting Kerbins water in time warp x10+ to glitch it into doing massive speed records. My fastest of the 3 runs I have done (I have done over 300 launches, only 3 worked, so I'm working on something more reliable) Sorry it was so close up, but I was using windows snipping tool to get the speed, and I didn't bother with screenshots, because the numbers are so tiny. I'll inform you guys in the WIP thread if I make any headway. ^^ That's 11 trillion times the speed of light, and this is shameless advertising of my prideful speed record.
-
Modern military jet fighters do not require VTOL, top speeds exceeding the enemies, or a limit to their altitude that is above average (In KSP it would be about 16,000m to match the most modern fighters, Su-50, and F-22). So the rules would be more accurate as: Supermaneuverability. Stealth. Supercruise (above mach 1 flight for extended periods of time, and long range capabilities). Weapon bays inside the aircraft. Fly by wire control systems. Cruising speed of mach 1.4 or higher.

I put nearly 50 heat shields on my craft, accelerated to 1 million m/s using infinite fuel, and then hit the water on Kerbin going maximum warp speed (time warp ingame), losing most of my heat shields in the process, and then doing so glitched my craft, and launched it off at 11 trillion times the speed of light. (I had like 100 vector engines attached with infinite offset to the craft behind it in such a way that they were not going to overheat each other, and hyperedit'd the thing to 1 million meters above Kerbin, and accelerated downwards as fast as possible with infinite fuel, and a custom config for the Vector that gives it 9999 thrust. The result was getting to 1 million + m/s or so, and hitting Kerbin (I didn't want to sit for very long, so I didn't go any faster) Then I was suddenly going 11 trillion times the speed of light, so yeah. I think I have the record for fastest Kerbal ever flown. (all other 3 tries that worked in the last month that I did never exceeded the speed of light, so I am not sure how this works exactly, and I have done over 300 launches so far, and all but about 3 of them (in the last month as I said before) have worked. So I am hard at work developing something more reliable.
-
Oh, by the way, that would be 11 trillion times the speed of light. (give or take a few million times)
-
I was testing some rocket powered vehicles, this one doesn't count for the competition, but it was in the atmosphere for a second or two... heh
-
I got something to glitch hitting the water with multiple heat shields, and blast off at 2/3 the speed of light EDIT: NEVERMIND, IT CAN GO MUCH FASTER!!! Out of the 100 or so launches, it has only glitched 7 times total. So It is not reliable, and usually kills Kerbals. I need a drone setup.
