OK. Granted. How about editing my original "Pain" to "Annoyance"? We have computers to look up things for us . No? And of course it's not a "Bug". Fixing real problems are more important than adding small features. But I thing that one can't be that hard. This is the Suggestions & Development Discussion section. Consider this is a suggestion. Good day Kerbolics. Not much to report for the last few days. Still in my end-of-game-Career-plan. http://imgur.com/a/UrTfs Now that the tech-tree is full I am repatriating my Kerbals. No Kerbals left behind. The Kerbin and Mun Labs were first now it's the last 3. The first of the last was the first Minmus Surface Lab. It's older with modest science, no ISRU and no lifeboat. Followed by the latest model from the other side of Minmus. Having a full tank (IRSU) it did the manoeuvring to meet the other. From there the Scientist "Walked" to itch a ride home in their lifeboats. Once back to Kerbin they used said Lifeboats. Jeb went up to get the remaining two. But due to a planning error the lab ended in a perilous orbit. The scientist had to "Space" themselves to a higher, rounder, orbit and wait for Jeb. The rest is routine. One lab, two scientist to go. The Minus Orbital lab. Same exact model as the last Minmus surface lab. Orbiting on the very edge of the SOI. This one was straight playbook. All my Kerbals are back on Kerbin. So.... Now what? I am going to upgrade them all to 5 stars (Travel involved). Then they can be retired (Dismissed) with full pay. And then what? I have never done a science oriented game. I do that.....And play at other things of course. ME

Just what the title says. The only reason, apart from fun, for hacking gravity is to test crafts. Now with 1.2 we have more selection of gravities to choose from. Thank you. But looking up the gravity of Laythe or Tylo is a bit of a pain. Can we get a pull down menu that appears when you select hack gravity? Or the space is there, list them all to select directly? Thanks. Keep up the good work. 1.2 is excellent. ME

Just fly-by? Can be done in stock. I have visited everyone with a single man kerbal ship using 1.1.3. MechJeb was used for guidance. The only worlds I didn't land on were: Orbited: Jool, Tylo, Eve. Moho was a flyby only. ME

I have had problems like that with planes while flying. I think part of the problem is parts that are clipped. When they get reloaded from a save as opposed to from the VAB (SPH). It's different somehow. What you can do is go to the cheat menu and select "Unbreakable Joints". Follow with F9. Once physic as finish loading and all is fine uncheat it. You should be back to where you were when you saved. ME

Yes. How's this one? All I know about art is that you have to push Degas to make the Van Gogh. ME

Good day to all Kerbophiles. Yesterday was work. Makes me wish I had to go to work so I could rest and be lazy. http://imgur.com/a/UrTfs Continuing my end-of-career-plan with more upgrades for newbies. The name of the ship type is Evil Twin 3.1 but the crew nicknamed it "Fang". Sure. Why not. Dudgel the pilot is commander on this Crosscountry upgrade trip. They got to Minmus no problem, Fuel fat by my standards. But the resources were poor at the landing site. They had to relocate. Going down hill was the better choice as it cost little or no fuel to go places. But Dudgel elected to travel up hill. To one of the two science stations on Minmus. ~27km. About half of it uphill (Gentle). Treacherous terrain all around. But the direct path was good enough. While the Green horns were getting out of their ship the old-hands were coming out too. New faces after 1 year on mission. There was a Kerbal party. Involving hugs. Jumping in the low gravity. Flag waving. Snacks were traded. The old hands had Kurly-Joes wich can't be had on Kerbin anymore and the tenderfoots had some Jelly-O-Wich. The new standard by which snack are measured. After ~130days they were fuelled. And said goodbye to their new livelong friends. They followed the mission profile and left Kerbin's SOI before proceeding to the Mun. Being fuel fat they were able to choose their landing site. No one to visit this time. With the tech tree almost full the Mun stations have been called back to Kerbin. They chose to go to "First Landing". The site were Valentina, Bill and Bob first touched down on the Mun and left a Science Station behind. "Back then they didn't have computers" "Back then they used a pen and paper" "I heard they used a pencil" "I know that Bob only did it in his head" "Valentina never opened a book in her life" "Bill could rebuild and engine with is eyes covered" While they were gone time and science was moving on. The tech tree is now full. "Exodus" is upon us. ME

Good day Kerbal-Boosters. The last few days were spent in the sandbox. No, not the Middle-East. Building a mid sized SSTO with the now available tech. http://imgur.com/a/71YMK Here is said SSTO: On board there are 6 Junior Kerbals. Recent rescuees from this career. They are off to do some training and get upgrades. The selection process involved picking them in order from the top and having only one star to their credit. There had to be a pilot among them so I did skip a scientist but he is next. First stop. Minmus. At first they were shy. Having no seniority they didn't want to offend by planting a flag first. So they did it at the same time. Then off they went. They escaped Kerbin's SOI. Then came back in it. By taking aim at the Mun. Once there They got to see Hermon (Now forever called Hermon-the-morron) fall on his head. He blamed it on gravity. One last Flag-Planting-Party. Hermon got to break the comm-Antenna. Right after bragging that he now as more stars than Jeb. Correction Hermon. You have one star. And it will remain at one until you get back. He blamed it on a jet-pack malfunction. One of my usual Space-Plane landing later. A few more trips to get them all to at least three. Then we will get something more massive going for further upgrades. ME

Spaceplane veering off on runway
Martian Emigrant replied to Kantall's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Hi. Welcome to the forum. I am at a lost as well. Never figured it out. Sometime I will change something and wacko-Jacko. Can't control no more. Othertime it's as if it has been behaving it's whole life and nothing bad can happen. I am working on a space plane right now and keeping it on the runway is a nightmare. ME -
G'day Kerbamates and Sheilas. Today same old. Accumulating science from the labs and spending it on tech. Doing contract to spend time. And I get this: WT Eck is a "Previously undisturbed Class B asteroid"? As not been mined? Still in it's original orbit? As to be sleeping when I get there? What? I don't think it's worth the money. ME

Hello Kerbalites, Kernalotes and Kerbaloutes in your Kerbaloutes suits. Today I wanted to see if I could get science from under water on Kerbin. Started modestly. But you just can't sink those labs. My final results. Went down to 240M. Still on shore biome. Solar panels getting useless. Barely moving forward and down. Recovered the darn thing and called it "Idea Tested". Then I went to space and broke the game. Time to do yard work I guess. ME

Good day to all Kerbal Space Programmers. Today Jeb "Accidentally" got himself back to Kerbin. Jeb was the designated Token Contract Pilot Essential Navigational Component on the Minmus Science Station. After 270 days on the station he accidentally fired himself in space with one of the escape pods. When the other guys notice that Jeb wasn’t showing up for cleaning the experiments they contacted Operations to complain. After a brief search they realized the horrible fate that came to their comrade. Operation: Jeb what happened? Jeb: I was enjoying some Kerbykola with my Kurlykrisps when I accidentally sprayed the console. It must have shorted and released the clamps. Operation: We will sue the manufacturer of the Kola and the guy that made the switch. Don't do nothing. We will come and retrieve you. Your excape-pod has an untested engine and was never meant to be more a way to DE-orbit from LKO. Operation: Where is Jeb? Tracking Station Duty Officer: We don't know. We can't find him around Minmus. Operation: We have Millions of Roots invested in Tracking equipment and you can't find him? Tracking Station Duty Officer: He is not replying. It's as if is transmitter was dead. KSC Operation Receptionnist: Jeb is on the phone . He want's to be picked up. Operation: What? KSC Receptionnist: Jeb is on the phone. He want's to be picked up. Operation: I know what you said......gimme the phone. Operation: Jeb what are you doing here? Jeb: I am not here. I am floating on the ocean. Operation: Why aren't you orbiting Minmus? Jeb: The De-orbit engine came on while I was attempting to clean the console. And first thing I knew I was on my way to the Mun. Operation: Why didn't you try to orbit the Mun? Jeb: I did. But the engine being mounted backward got me facing the wrong way. Then I was going to Kerbin. Operation: ..... Operation: We are currently suing the manufacturer of Kerbykola, kurlykrisps and the guy who made the switch. We will get to the bottom of this. But you are back just in time. We need a pilot to fly to a newly captured asteroid with some mining equipment. Jeb: We capture asteroids now? Operation: Yes we do. We are cataloguing them too. Starting with A-Roid, B-Roid, etc... Jeb: Which one am I going to? Operation: M Jeb: Swell. ME

They are all employees of badly funded startup Cie. They don't realize that space is "Hard" and they use all their funds just to start. No operation funds left after one launch. ME

I do not know. But. He has shown no sign of life on this tread in a long while. His profile page shows is last activity on the 25th of October. So....Again IDK. But I consider this tread to be terminated as far as he is concerned. You can of course do the challenge for yourself and post the results here. Or open a new challenge and rule over it? ME

Why isn't this stock? I want one.....So bad. That's Gemini 8. Is it not? ME

Good day Kerbalinuts. Today amongst other thing I went to get my stranded Mun trio. They delivered the Worst-ly Designed Rover-Ever and had insufficient fuel for their return. But they got down close to the the lab. 1.1km from it. A record in my book. So after something like 90 days on the Mun (And eating stale rations. They ran out of snacks 10 days ago). Contracts running on the uninteresting side and the stations producing plenty of science it's time to wind things down a bit it's overdue to rescue them. The automated ship landed 12 km away. The Station rover was designed by a play-group at the local high-school and has TWO seats for the TWO Mun scientist. Kerbin-Ops had planned to make two trips. But Gerbie convinced Harbart that it would be fun to ride in the claw. Gerbie: Hangon buddy. Only 10 more km. <Laugh> Bilkin: What an idiot! <Snicker> Harbart: I can hear you. You know. <Laughter> They had a good time at the expense of Harbart. For a while. Bilkin: Is he is supposed to have a claw sticking through is helmet? Harbart: I can't feel my legs. Then the mood became very serious. The only thing to be heard on the intercom was their own breath overlaid with the short halting breathing coming from Harbart. The sun was setting and the going was uphill. They had to resort to go backward to get a better angle on the sun. They all dreaded spending the long Munal night outside. Harbart: How do I look? All: Like a million Roots! Gerbie: Ya. You have some colour back. Bilkin: You look like you could be the director someday.....Or something good like that. Gerbie: You look taller. With the rays of the sun diminishing. The rover slowing down. The minutes turned to hours. They started breathing easier when, cresting a hill, the ship appeared to them. They got there with the last Amps their rover could give them. Gerbie: Look it's the latest model. Bilkin: The paint looks like it just got sprayed on. Gerbie: I heard that it has double the amounts of snacks as the previous models. Harbart: GREAT! It' all great! Now RELEASE ME! Once on board Gerbie went through the short-Checklist and had the fire going in the wood-stove. They were on their way home. The shortest possible way. Mun orbit at 9km, barely level they were leaving orbit , no orbit around Kerbin. She would have torch-shipped them all the way but it's expressly forbidden in the regs. Harbart: Slow down Gerbie. There's some snacks left and I am not done here. The end. For now. ME

Good day Corbomite Kerbamites friends of Kerbal kind. Today I started with a contract to test a coupler splashed....So I did just that. Ka-ching. Sorry no picture. But I also had to test a "RoveMax M1" on a Mun suborbital flight. I drove my rover I have up there until it got in the air. Quickly ran the test and.... Ka-ching. The contract Minmus station is cleared to land moon touch-down. More Ka-ching. Now. The following was so annoying. My Mun station had too much science for it's my own good. I have transmitted the accumulated science before but this time I had over 200 Units and the station would run out of power. An older (2014) post told to start the transmission then go to warp.....Buzz....Don't work. To go partial transmission....Buzz don't work. I thought that maybe it's because I have 4 antennas....Il'l fold 3 use partial and see what happens....Buzz....don't work. Then I notice that the <Deleted Expletive> unfolded another one in my back to sneak an expensive transmission out. Then I remembered.....I have a backup communotron16. I sent Dopont to "Fix" the guilty antennas. That worked....Just. I will have to keep an eye on that station and empty it more often. The one I just put on Minmus is an exact copy....Including the attached "Twich Engine" that I had to test on the Mun. Play safe. ME Edit: All this was yesterday for me. Today I did have problem with Minmus Station. The allow partial transmission does work with one antenna. I destroyed the extra ones. But if they are all set to partial I think it should work.

Good day Kerbal Aficionado. Been working on the old 1.2 career. Today with new tech unlocked we have the careful deployment of a Mun science station. Don't worry about the height and the lack of legs. Valentina was very careful. Where is Jeb you say? He was designated as the token "One pilot must be on board " required by the Minmus Orbiting Lab contract. Usual flag planting party. Still not clear if the guys inside benefit from the flag planting....So what the heck. Knock yourselves out. Have fun. The whole Mun landing was broadcasted live thanks to the new "Relay-Technology©®" Similar ceremony was later had on Minmus. Those landings were of course just preliminaries for the landing of the "Contract Stations" with accommodation for 6 that followed. Miam. Mun science. I am at that point where the science labs start producing science faster than you can care. Everything is fully upgraded. Even the administration building. Over 1.5 million Roots in the bank. The early days are hard but then it gets too easy...Too fast? Next time I play there will be a lab on Minmus. Maybe a Solar one? What is that I hear? A call for help from a desperate scientist that need rescuing? I am on my way. ME

Lunokhod! That's awesome. Is there no limit to imagination and what this game can do? ME

Returned to my 1.2 career. I hate the early-low-tech-days. Now half way up the tree. Much better. I made a get some cheap-science-at-home-rover. The last version had 4 of everything including 4 scientist. The radar dishes are separate places to visit too. Still unclear on the concept of networking. I started seeding the planet ways with junk relays. Not sure yet if that does anything except adding to Mr Kesslers collection. I never send probes. Always has a pilot on board. Well 95 percent anyway. It will probably bite me somewhere. Sent a lab in orbit of Kerbin. IT's OK. OK enough that I made a different version to send to the MUN. But in the remodelling <EXPLETIVE DELETED> The forward port was deleted. I was trying in the dark to select a non-existent port. I will have to add to it from the side. From ONE side. Here we have Vallina (A Junior rescuee pilot) leaving after adding rooms EDIT left to herself by a junior rescue pilot in the new Mun-Station. It was supposed to be in front. GRR. Oh well. I will derate the main engine and fly with a crooked COM to the Mun. I am not scrapping it. ME

Mechjeb toolbar not showing up
Martian Emigrant replied to keyco smog's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
I just checked yesterday and MJ isn't updates to Version 1.2 yet. I would love to find out where to get it. Designing a reasonable ship without is a pain. Space navigation I can manage. ME -
Good day Kerbal lovers. http://imgur.com/a/qkqjA The saga as ended. From Gilly Allan went to Moho. Stop 14. Moho. Not an actual stop as there isn’t enough delta-v to orbit or land. From there went back to Eve-Gilly. Unlike the last simulation I didn't wait for a natural encounter. The encounter was forced a bit. Cost fuel of course but took only a few turns around the sun. Allan was relieved to orbit Gilly again. Having only 87 Units of LF left. Plenty as it turn out. Landed on a hill. Went to plant the usual flag then had to chase his ship down the hill. Uneventful return to Kerbin-Mun. Stop 15. Mun. Allan rushed to the arch. Only to find that Jeb as been there before him. Me: How do you know it was Jeb? Allan: Read the plaque. Yup. T'was Jeb. Easy return to Kerbin. Stop 16. Kerbin. There. Done. 37y, 58d, 3h, 43m,42s Allan wants to retire from the Space Corps. He talks about bees and tulips all the time. Learned a lot. Not sure, yet, what was normal or just luck. Next I will be working on a ship that can do the system and land everywhere. Eve is an issue. A big issue. But with hard work and dedication.it can be..... Oh look a bunny. ME
-
Hi. Duna-Tno. See what I did there? Don't know if it works of the Mun. I guess it should. I landed a whole colony (16 ships) on a slope of Duna. I found that if you rotate your ship using the SAS it will start slipping down hill. The direction of the rotation will give a left-right tendency to the craft so you can, to a point, steer. ME

Good day Kerbal Meisters. http://imgur.com/a/qkqjA After my tech stop on Duna. I looked at some numbers and decided that another stop on Ike was warranted (That's a fancy word that means I tried to go toward Eve but didn't have enough fuel). Allan as been gone for 31 years and is starting to go peculiar. Tech stop. Ike. Leaving for Eve was normal and humdrum. The whole capture and transfer to Gilly was easier (And cheaper) than I ever anticipated. Stop 12. Eve. Not an actual stop as I can't land and get off again. Nice. We'll use that one on the space-corps pamphlet. Stop 13. Gilly. Poor Allan is really acting odd now. No more sending Kerbals for long duration trip on their own. I learned that: Nothing happens very fast on Gilly. Tediously slow actually. Who the heck orbits at 18.6 m/s? Next world to visit. Moho. Not the last one as I skipped the Mun on my way out. I played with it last night and I never imagined it would be so far (Delta-V). I can't land, can't orbit and leave later.....So it as to be a flyby. I worked it out. I can come back to Eve-Gilly. But poor Allan is in for a long one. Yesterday I got back to Gilly and the clock on the ship was at something like 78 years. Maybe I can reduce the number of orbits, to meet Eve, this time. Next move for Allan: Gilly-Moho-Eve-Gilly-Kerbin-Mun-Kerbin......IDK maybe a tech stop on Minmus....if required....I guess....We'll see. ME
