  1. You've basically encountered the same problem as you did with the rover craft file. Open up the folder called "persistent.sfs" and change the first line to the version you are using.
  2. @VeryShyProxy I think the problem is a flaw in KSP's game engine and tick rate physics, known as "phasing." it occurs at speeds of above 350m/s, and basically entails ships partially clipping inside each other, or passing right through each other, due to the crafts moving so fast relative to each other that the game doesn't process physics fast enough to recognise that they are inside each other. It has never been stopped, as it is only encountered while using high-end Stock missiles and never inside normal gameplay, and to fix it would mean a massive increase in lag. So I think it's just a quirk in the game engine.
  3. The deadline is over for the entries, and I have made a strawpoll to vote for the best craft! (Please don't vote for your own craft) StrawPoll I have also set up a save file for you to prove that your craft can do what it's meant to do, your "mission briefing" is below: "Alright listen up. Yesterday, a hostile plane made a strafing run on a GUA-1 unit guarding the Inland KSC, bursting one of its wheels. By launching both its anti air missiles, the GUA-1 was able to down the plane, but now lies immobile, with no further defense against enemy attacks. Your mission is simple, using your new military transport, you are to fly out a new GUA-1 to the Inland KSC, repair the damaged unit's wheel and fly it back to the KSC for repairs and re-armament. 4. I'm not sure about a mod, but if you go into settings, I'm fairly certain there's a slider for overheating temperature, slide all the up and you should have he desired effect.
  5. It really depends what bodie you want to build it on. If it's on the Mun or minmus then you can muck about with Ion SSTO's, and generally focus more on aesthetics, while anything larger than Duna and you have to focus on ore mining to get anywhere near self sufficient fuel wise.
  6. @Servo Great looking plane! That'll definitely be a hard one to beat. Really good idea with the gear to create a rail for airdropping, I'll have to try that on a plane at some point. The weapons look like they're at the wrong angle on the rover though, why is that?
  7. I think the turret could handle it, but it wouldn't look to good. I'll put the turret subassembly up today if you want to try it.
  8. @telomce can you upload picture of your craft, please? Only one more day to enter, then there's the poll and proving mission!
  9. As can my G3 Torpedoes, which are six times lighter, and destroying ships 3 times heavier than the Hyperion. Do you have pics of testing?
  10. Damn, I must have not balanced the parachute right. Anyway, plane looks great, does it have a name to enter into the poll?
  11. It's 45 tons? That's more than a fully armed EX-9 Eos.
  12. Let me guess, it's 40 tons? Until you develop effective missiles that are maximum 10 tons, you will not be able to battle anyone, your ships will just be too heavy.
  13. Going through things isn't good, though.
  14. Keep it simple, Duna is just like going from the Mun to Minmus, on a much larger scale.
  15. Keep in mind the Poseidon is obsolete, I wouldn't use it to test your ships on anymore.
  16. Hmm. What you have to do is open the rover config file, and change the first line to your version. I built it in 1.2.2, and the game won't load anything built after the version your on.
