  1. Just wait for my WIP aircraft carrier...
  2. Never said REQUIRED mods... My GUA-1 anti-air artillery rover. My ND-1 Vigilance naval frigate, armed to the teeth with 4 anti air missiles, 2 Torpedoes and 2 batteries of 6 I-Beams each. And this is just in atmosphere...
  3. This is like a pre-order promotion where if you buy before launch, you get an exclusive skin. You are effectively asking to give everyone that skin, because the company made more money off sales on launch day.
  4. Let me guess, you bought in May 2013... You just exactly pointed out why this is a bad idea. They're rewarding the people who were there before it was cool, the people who there when water had colliders. To have them extend this makes no sense. For the record, I bought February 2014, and would gladly pay for Making History several times over, the game absolutely deserves it.
  5. Yes, making your transport bigger is a good idea. depending on how competent you are at rendevous, (probably very, as you have done 10-15 refueling missions) I would capture a class D or E asteroid, and dock it to your station. it would eliminate the need for a signifiacnt protion of those missions.
  6. To quote Hitchhikers, "Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space." God, that was an incredible book.
  7. The Battle of Ike, Turn 3 After inspecting the damaged EX-9, the damage was just to be severe, but not crippling. Though half it's fuel cells were destroyed, it could still run on its backup chemical engine, and use the Ions at half thrust. Deciding to target the Zephyr, Narfal Kerman made three rendevous burns. Zeroing the Eos's relative velocity to the target, Narfal placed the EX-9 1.5km away from the Zephyr; optimal firing range for G3 Torpedoes. Realisng that the fuel cells were draining from the missile AGAIN, Narfal filed a complaint to the engineers. It wasn't so bad, as the rendevous had been easier and less fuel intensive than last time, so she fired it anyway. It hit, shattering the Zephyr into fragments, leaving it completely destroyed. Smiling at the destruction out her window, Narfal went for quick nap. Persist As far as I can tell, My ships have you beat on weapons, while yours are far superior in range, and everything else is roughly equal.
  8. I would ask some people in "Addon-Development" they are the most likely people to be able to give you an answer. (I can't)
  9. If you really wanted, you could offset decouplers pointing to fire off the craft inside the fairing, and stage them at the same time as the fairing. Would provide an analogue for the debris, but wouldn't actually be the fairing.
  10. That looks great! In the assignment, you will have to pick one up as well, so I would reccomend everyone uses docking ports.
  11. @Joseph Kerman you might as well just put 16 I-Beams on your ship, and have more redundancy if your 50+ ton missile misses or somehow fails.
  12. TTHHHAAATTTSSS HOW YOU FIX IT! I have had that problem for so long. Thank you!
  13. Could you clarify a bit on that problem? And any version is fine. If you don't make it smaller or lighter, then ok. (PMing might be a good idea) You won't actually need to fire the missiles at any point, so it probably doesn't matter.
  14. Ok, mixed feelings. One hand, 2 of your ships now cannot make a hostile action, while only one of mine can't, but on the other hand, Nooo! Those EX-9s cost, you know! That's going to hurt my budget.
  15. Nice planes! @NotAnAimbot it doesn't look like you're airdropping the right rover though.
  16. Turn based persistent.sfs file swapping, but we're getting a little off-topic.
  17. Very Nearly finished my Frigate... My favorite part is definitely the topredo tubes. My favorite shot:
  18. Detecting the hostile force around Ike, the EX-9 Eos piloted by Labal Kerman moved into engage the Pico SM3 Breeze. Making two quick rendevous burns, The Stealth gunship Moved in on the Sub-Capital ship. Discovering a fuel routing error, Labal realises that the fuel cells were draining from the missile, instead of the tanks. Deciding to firing it anyway, the missile only accelerates to about three quarters of optimal speed. It impacted down the front, destroying the three missiles and the engine section, leaving it incapable of any hostile action. After triple checking the Breeze's demise, Labal went for a nap. 19. Ok, with the week over and the poll results in, I am happy to annouce the Winner of the Light bomber Competition with three votes is... @NotAnAimbot's RBF-6 Longbow! Congratulations, have a shiny badge! Now, onto the next week's plane. Week 2: Class: Military Vehicle Transport You are to design a Aircraft capable of transporting and air-dropping the new GUA-1 Anti-Air Artillery Rover to the KSC2. (The rover can fit in a MK3 Cargo bay) It should be able to take off before the third set of white stripes on the runway, and land in about the same distance. it must also have at least one weapon hardpoint. Pics and download of the rover: Weight: maximum 80 tons (not including rover) Speed: No minimum Payload: at least one GAU-1 Rover, and at least one weapon hardpoint Range: at least able to reach KSC2 Crew: at least 2 i'll actually do the assignment in time this week, I promise!
  20. Yes, I hope no conflict will occur either... but I think you forgot the persist.
  21. I use em solely for the blue thrust trail, the closer I can get to realistic sci-fi, the better! In other news, i recently built a new fighter, which I have called the EX-4 Nereus, as it is going to replace the EX-3 as main carrier fighter of my fleet. Though the EX-3 worked, it was plagued by numerous design problems, took fuel from its missiles, and was 3 tons over the limit for fighters. I will have pictures up shortly, but I have intergrated them into the EX-5 Oceanus. As a bonus, I will also add the EX-10, a carrier half the size and a third of the weight of the EX-5, which uses the EX-0.11 mini fighter.
  22. I do all my testing around Kerbin, and all my ships have easily enough fuel for several rendezvouses, but I prefer lower gravity worlds to minimise burn times, as eve and the larger planets are very tedious when ship has a mass-to-ion ratio of Five tons.
