  1. <snaps head around> Would you be up for a sea battle? I only have my 2 types of ships, which you have seen in my challenge, but I'm working on some more.
  2. Oops forgot it. @sdj64 what is your plane called? Also, this time I'm going to let the winner chose the specifcation and type of plane.
  3. Yeah, I was assuming you were going to swap the stock missiles for BDA missiles on my craft, and I was wondering if you could send me them with the modded missiles. I'm submitting them for kethane station.
  4. Those missiles look like you've set them up perfectly to counteract gravity, what angle/engine layout/engine amount are you using?
  5. @DarkOwl57 can you do me a favour? Can I get the download links for my BDAified crafts?
  6. As in with BDA? Proabably not, I'm a stock player, but I could maybe do it flying a ground attack mission?
  7. I'm guessing it will be able to land in 50m, due to big wings=low stall speed, but it does looks to wide.
  8. Here is the proving mission. Since there hasn't been a lot of entries, and I know at least one person is still working on a plane, I'm going to keep allowing submissions. "Alright listen up. 3 destroyers have been spotted 45km out of the KSC. The only line of defense is the ASC-1 Floating Fortress, which is currently stationed of the coast of the Island Runway. Your mission is simple: You are to take your new naval fighter and land it on the Floating Fortress, and optionally refuel. Then you must take off and destroy or damage one of the destroyers with your missiles, and return to the Floating Fortress. Due to the complexity of the mission, and the fact that carrier landings can be dodgy, quick saves are allowed. Tip: when trying to destroy the destroyers, I would recommend using one of the guided missiles that you can download on the first post, they can be easily guided in with the prograde marker and the target marker, even if you have no experience in stock combat it should only take 2 or 3 attempts. 9. 18 parts. https://www.dropbox.com/s/q6ki70xqy14cuu7/screenshot61.png?dl=0 (imgur is acting up, can't show a normal screenshot, sorry)
  10. I'm game, but could we extend that to water naval as well?
  11. Um... no it's not. That's not how submissions work. I suspect he will use neither, as the focus is moving away from planes.
  12. How it is a choice? Its not exactly a competition...
  13. AS-2 Vulture "Best thing I've bought since my afterburning toaster" - A satisfied kerbal "Great product. -1 star for suffocating tidal wave of packaging peanuts" - A satisfied asphyxiated kerbal "Charged for arson after accidentally destroying my recently insured house with missiles" - An unsatisfied bankrupt kerbal I have recently been constructing a navy, in particular a carrier in a vain attempt to classed as a national superpower. Rule Kerbtannia, Kerbtannia rules the waves... However, to keep part count down to a reasonable number while maintaining a good balance of aesthetics and functionality, the deck is only 50m long. This is problematic for conventional HTOL planes, as is made clear in this picture. Ouch... my national reputation... I then came up with the brilliant idea of building a plane with a stock rotating engine. I had seen a lot of these before, particularly @Servo's F-35 replica and @JollyGreenGI's CTR-3S Rocker, but none were small enough to operate on my small carrier. 3 hours and 3 deleted prototypes later, I came up with the AS-2 Vulture! This may shock some, but wing plates are in fact made of highly heat-resistant alloy, and not cardboard. The stock hinge is very reliable, I'm yet to have a failure. I've seen other designs have airbrakes to lever the engine into place, but they take up a lot more space and are a lot trickier to build, so I went with a switching design. Weapons wise, they carry 2 APOG-1 Pidgeon guided missiles, (which are basically rip offs of @iamonfire's stock fire and forget missiles) and I'm hoping to be able to fit an ore tank bomb on it somewhere. (This is an older version of the plane, the download version not only looks better but functions much more smoothly) Thats about it! I'm planning to build a drone SSTO version, if I can find out how to build SSTO's, so I might add threat to this thread later. 14. I'm at it again, would @HatBat accept a fighter with a stock rotating engine?
  15. Shame it's modded... would have done it in stock in a heartbeat.
  16. There are a lot of ways to do it, assuming you're using my missiles I put up for download you could radially attach an oscar-B tank to the surface you want the missile on, as the most basic way. I personally offset junior docking ports and cover up the bad looking end with a nose cone.
  17. This isn't a done, more a doing, but this weekend my school club are launching a Pi in sky balloon. I joined quite late in the term, and didn't contribute much, but I'm looking forward to the launch.
  18. Have you tried going into the config file and changing the first line to 1.2.2? I have done this and experienced no issues.
  19. I just found out I'm doing stuff tomorrow, and won't be at my computer... So that's another day to submit crafts and one less to do the proving trial, sorry.
